Comments: Played HS and college in age when wooden racquets were just starting to get replaced by metal. Dropped tennis for a couple of decades as my family grew and the kids were playing soccer and other sports. Getting back into tennis and wanted to replace my over 20 year old graphite composite. Demo'ed Wilson K6.2, K Zen, K Five, Head MG2, Extreme OS, Radical OS, Prince EXO3 Red, O3 Blue, O3 Speedport Tour. I wanted 1 racquet I could use to rally with my beginner daughter and play hard with my brother where we basically just try to slug each other off the court. For task 1, I liked the K Five and EXO3 Red. For task 2, I liked the same racquets but LOVED the Prince Tour model. The K Five was more arm friendly but didn't provide the visceral satisfaction the Red did. You saw you hit a good shot but didn't feel it, the way the ball sinks into the strings and the response from whacking it in the sweet spot...I got that from the Red. I also liked the more rounded grip on the Prince. Since the Speedport is about half the cost of the EXO, I got the speedport red strung at 61. rallying with my daughter, I was worried I strung it too tight but after about 30 minutes, a nice easy swing was getting good results. Then I played my brother the next day and had good results swinging hard and fast with deep drives with occasional wild shots (not unusual for me). The Red definitely does not have the control of the Tour model but it's a more versatile tool. When you are getting older like me, it helps to have a racquet with a little more power.

Comments: I love this racquet. I have had it for a couple of years, and it has been great. It is so light that I won't get tired during practice or a long match. I play competitively and it gives me enough power and spin.

Comments: I love this racquet. It took me about 30 minutes of hitting before I quit hitting bricks and then it was "game on." I get lots of spin and control. I have needed a new racquet for quite some time and dreaded finding one - but this made the wait worth it.

Comments: I played with this racquet for about 4 months before it broke after I stumbled going for a sharp volley (oops!- but at least I hit back a winner). My forehand, which is a little flat, went out (long) more often than I wanted, but my backhand, which has a lot more topspin definitely had some spin, speed, and depth. Slices, slice volleys, and drop shots were a dream and this racquet offered a variety of shots I was previously unable to make with my Prince Triple Threat Bandit. Serves were definitely stronger (especially flat) and spin produced in slice serves gave a good outward kick after landing. But, the lack of a good sounding serve replaced by a kind of whistling due to the o-ports make my serve seem less threatening. This racquet definitely improved my game and increased my confidence in my backhand at the baseline and deep slices at the net. Even with a head size over 100 sq. in., it offered a nice feel and sweet spot. I would definitely recommend this racquet to anyone who enjoys seeing a good amount of spin produced from even from desperate shots that will get those point-deciding shot in. Sorry for the lengthy review, but I hope it helps.

Comments: Great racquet. Normally, I don't take too many manufacturers technology claims too seriously, but in this case, they are true. It feels like the sweet spot on this thing is a foot wide. It takes a little time to get used to the lack of vibration coming back from the racquet, and the disbelief that accompanies. I was able to handle heavy forehands with little effort, and still had great feel for slice backhands. Highly recommend.

Comments: This is a fantastic racquet. I find excellent control on backhand slice and second serves. My second serves are reaching 98-100% consistency, whilst achieving good kick and placement. Forehands are good with topspin easy to achieve. I find a lot of power in my volleys and I find I even have to ease back on my back swing to keep the volleys in. I am still looking at the right string/tension combination (for me),and I am enjoying the experience. I have used it for three months now and initially took some time to adjust to it characteristics. I now find myself looking down at it and saying "that was a good shot, felt great." Do yourself a favour and add this to your demo list. You will not be disappointed.

Comments: I demo'd this stick at the suggestion of my coach. It plays like an improved version of my current stick, a Wilson Hyper Hammer 2.3 - lots of pop, easy to serve with, nice groundstrokes and effective at the net. And comfortable, too. I played a singles match with it and beat someone I usually lose to, so perhaps it was the stick.

Comments: This racquet plays so much like my Yonex RQS 11. If you need something a bit heavier than the RQS 11, this is the racquet for you. Most striking feature is the easy one-handed backhand slice. Serve is pretty good; generating spin is almost a no-brainer for me with this racquet. I'm able to pull the ball over the net and dip it with a fast stroke easily. Yes as the previous comment says, there are issues with two-handed backhand. It's a slicer's racquet. If you are better with two-handed backhand, get the Babolat Aero Pro with Cortex, that racquet has got to be the easiest racquet to hit a two-handed backhand. But if you got the cash, this racquet does everything pretty comfortably.

Comments: I've used this racket for about a year now. I’ve found this racket to be a bit too light and powerful. My serve has definitely suffered with it. Some pros are the spin. Because of the weight and speedports you can really generate a lot of racket head speed. Its good for volleys due to the lightweight and maneuverability. Its solid for spin serves but it’s shocking for flat first serves. This racket served me great a year ago but since then I’ve grown and gotten a lot stronger. I would say if you have a shorter swing, or are looking for a little more "pop" then this is a great racket. But if you produce a lot of power on your own. This probably isn't the best choice

Comments: The string maneuverability was nice, and I found that it has good capabilities with different spins, but I couldn't tell the difference between the original O3 design. Serve returns are a plus and I found that when you were scrambling for the ball you could still hit a nice cross court ball. I felt it had a nice blend of power and control. So all around this racquet was excellent.

Comments: This racquet promotes stable, solid shots on both groundstrokes and volleys, and lets you hit very heavy serves. It appears to have a design defect, though: the plastic grommet holder (which some call the 'thermoplastic bumper') at the top of the racquet has a tendency to stick out from the racquet, snag on things and break off at the ends. This defect is dangerous to others and yourself, as it could cause eye injury. It should be covered by warranty, but is not.

Comments: Afer reading TW's reviews, I had to try this one for myself. I'm glad I did. It took about three weeks of trying different combinations (string type and tension), but it was worth it. I started out with my old strings, Prince Topspin at 57 lbs, then switched to Luxilon ALU Rough 16g and the recommended 10% tension reduction (for me, it meant down to 52 lbs). I'm already a big hitter, but this combo wasn't going anywhere. I went back up to my old string tension of 57 lbs (from my previous racket, Prince Hornet MP). And, wow, the Speedport Red came to life. Excellent control and maneuverability, and lots of kick. I couldn't keep up with the expense of using Luxilon, and so switched to the Signum Pro Poly Plasma 16g. Even so, this racquet didn't skip a beat. It might feel a little light overall for some (especially on volleys), but this racquet is plenty stiff, and for me, also packed a lot of punch at the net. Bottom line: excellent racket, but I'm pretty sure different strings and different tensions will make a difference in whether you'll be sold on the Speedport Red. Very much worth a demo, but the sticker price might be a deal-breaker.

Comments: It became a great racquet as I learned to swing through the ball. I found I was not only hitting the ball harder but my control also became much better. I tried several quality strings and hybrid combo's on this red blaster. Then, I one day I tried the recommended string for this racquet, Prince Lighting XX. To my amazement, the Lighting XX brought this stick to a new level of power with increased control. I always use the yellow Lighting XX string as a one piece string not hybrid, with the mains at 58 and the crosses at 61. Then wow, I suddenly started crushing my forehand and forehand return of serve's. I was now swinging with so much acceleration that I was actually lifting myself off the ground on the follow through's and I even started grunting. I was shocked that these shots were actually staying in the court. So were my opponents. Then I woke-up. No, just kidding. It was not a dream. Now days, if I can get my grip and feet half way set for a shot, I just rip thru the ball. With practice my angles and control became steady and reliable to go along the increased pace. On my serves I was now starting to get ace's on both sides of my opponent, with both heavy flat, cut serves.

I found the Metallix 2 racquet was unstable in the upper part of the frame, and it was way too light. This is an improvement in the weight. It has lots of spin and a perfect blend of power and control. It feels pretty solid, especially at the net. The sweetspot is huge. It is also easy on the arm. Comments: A great tweener racquet for intermediate level players. It is easy to generate tremendous racquet head speed and is perfect for volleys and groundstrokes. Comments: I agree with most people here, this racquet is great. The spin is great for groundies and serves, but I think the place where this racquet shines the most are volleys. This is because strung with Lightning XX, it's an extremely "heavy"-feeling string. It's definitely not very elastic, so you have to generate your own power, but once you do, there's no stopping this racquet. With volleys, the ball seems to stay on the strings longer, leaving for more control and punch. Great racquet!

Comments: This might be the most comfortable racquet I've ever hit with, pure plushness without a suggestion of harshness. Pretty good power, fairly stable, lacks the plow-through (only 10.5 ounces) of other 105s like the Pro Kennex 15 PSE or Vantage 105 (heaviest variation). The only nagging problem is a vagueness of direction when hitting the ball, perhaps due to all that string movement which is a variable in itself, with lesser or greater movement depending on the swing and how the ball comes at you. I could probably get used to it and maybe even really enjoy it but those who play with great precision will find it unsettling.

It generates spin so easily, perfect amount of power, very comfortable on any shot, very good for backspin for all of you 1 handed backhands, even though I hate being up at net its very nice up there, on serves its very comfortable and is very capable of all slice, flat, and topspin serves. With virtually even balance, I found it hard to generate much headspeed (and my usual racquet has a swing weight of 327), so serves were not very powerful, though my serve percentage was remarkably high even the first time I used it; there was a flat learning curve. The dark grey and deep red finish is stunning (as it very well should be for $250). Those accustomed to headlight racquets will have a tough time figuring this one out, but it's worth trying

Comments: A very enjoyable racquet to use. Its most catching feature is the adjustable shock absorber. All the way down and it gives a loud pop when the ball leaves the strings. All the way up and it's very quiet. I usually play with the absorber about 1/4 of the way up, but am considering changing the shock around during competitions so that opponents can't rely on the sound of the ball off the racquet. Also, not sure if it's due to the natural gut strings, but my new racquet was capable of delivering a sliced backhand dropshot from the baseline! Three shots in row! I also demoed the O3 Speedport Blue (too powerful for me) and the O3 White (similar feel, but preferred the adjustable absorber and newer style).

Comments: Played with the new 03 for the first time last night. I've been using a Pure Drive for the past few years and was looking for a stick with a little more pop and a little lighter. My arm was getting somewhat tired late into matches with the Pure Drive which was affecting my serve. I found the 03 to be a good combination of tweener/player's racquet. Although a bit 'plastic-y,' groundstrokes were still solid and I was able to hit nice driving topspin off the forehand side. Had problems with my two-handed backhand for some reason, but one handed slices were incredibly easy to hit. The extra power carried the ball deeper and the open string pattern puts nice slice on the ball. Running forehands were also easy. Assuming I got to the ball and concentrated on a relaxed swing, the ball would carry deep and with good control. I've never been a fan of extra long racquets, the extra length would cause me to lose too much control, but the extra 1/4 inch on this racquet allowed me to reach a few wide serves to my forehand that I would otherwise not have reached. The racquet's power level also allowed me to slap/lob the ball deep into the court instead of putting a sitter a few feet from the net. Volleys were very easy also. The sweet spot is generous and control was excellent. Didn't get as much action on the serve as I would have thought. Overall, this is a keeper. A I get older (I'm 40 now) I need more power from a stick without sacrificing control, and this racquet seems a good choice. Lastly, the best benefit of the speed port design that I can tell is that makes for easy stringing.

Comments: Awesome experience. This racquet is definitely a 1st class seater! I demoed this racquet and the Speedport Blue. However, the red just felt best! My forehand was slacking a little bit this past few weeks, but when I demoed this racquet it seemed to put just the right amount of pop, topspin, and control over the ball that I needed. It definitely served well at the net for me. It gave me enough cut on the ball, while still providing penetrating shots. My serve seemed to die a little bit though. I'm sure I can adjust that with some more training with it though! I couldn’t hit my kick-serve as well however; my regular 1st serve dynamic seemed to work its way in better, which by the way I had been avoiding. This racquet definitely helps improve what needs to be tweeked some. Overall superb racquet.

I hit with a lot of topspin and use a 2hbh. When I saw the specs for the Speedport, I was interested. The reduced flex and bit thinner beam intrigued me. I bought one, strung it at 57 and loved the response. It is wicked fast at the net -- I mean wicked. It serves beautifully and is an excellent choice for those who like to hit with topspin. It has more feel than the 68 flex Red, which is noticeable form the baseline. I have since bought another and am selling my Volkl Cat 8s.

Comments: It served extremely well, was stable even against hard hit shots and was forgiving enough with it's 105 headsize and large sweetspot. I wasn't sure of the need for the Speedport line, after being very comfortable and happy with the playability of the original series. But, my curiosity got the better of me and I demoed the Speedport Red. The biggest difference in terms of on court experience are the much better 'feel' for the ball with the Speedport version (dampening system is adustable and works really well, and the decrease in stiffness is a big plus) and the 'sound' of the ball coming off this racquet. The Speedport is very responsive, can be dampened to your liking, hits a clean, great sounding ball, is capable of heavy blasts from the baseline, volleys well and serves like a dream - placement, spin and power. Demoed twice and now it's the number one stick in my bag...give it a shot, you can block and slice/dice the ball if that's your style or if you really like to swing away and go for your shots - this one is very versatile.

This one hits a much heavier ball while still being capable of massive spin. Comments: Just bought one and love it! Gave me much better control than my original O3 red. Did not like demo lighting strings as it made the racquet feel too stiff. Restrung with Premier Pro and feels like I have always been using this racquet. Good tweaking over the O3.

Comments: Superb racquet! I love the design, but it felt a little too plastic-y. Well, this racquet is the most expensive line of racquets up to date, but the money is well worth it. You get extra pop and power in addition to the "speed". Personally, I can't tell if this racquet goes any faster than the o3 red, but the head heaviness allows more penetrating shots and awesome volleys. Also, a nice dandy feature is the little shock absorber that moves to fit your preference. If you wanted the muted feel, slide it up, if you wanted to he actual feel, then slide down into the frame. However, the best part is when you serve, you can hear a nice clean whistle that sounds so cool.

Comments: The description is very accurate, I added weight on handle to make it more head light and it did not take away from power on serve and ground strokes. By playing all court, this racquet is one special weapon. The 65 flex is a major improvement over previous O3 red.
