Comments: This string (LF Supreme 17) was strung on the Pro Kennex Redondo 93 right after the KLIP Legend 16 at 65lb and all I can say is that Supreme felt almost identical to the gut! It has that spongy feel and since I wasn't happy with that from KLIP I will try to increase tension to 60 lb and see if it is gone be "cured" from it! Overall, this is the best way to get a feel of the gut for the multi price!! And you should string it around 5% lower from your regular tension since this one holds it pretty well right from the start and has no (typical for other strings) initial drop of tension.

Comments: I have been using Laser Fiber Supreme for 2 years now. In the beginning I thought this string is just too stiff for me, but when I lowered the tension to 55 from 60 lbs I found out that it could very well be the string I have been looking for. Now, I use it as my string of choice. It plays crisp, good feel, good tension maintenance, and I do not have to string my racquet twice a month. Actually, it lasted for 3 months before I noticed a noticeable tension loss. Try to decrease your tension and I am sure you will like it

Comments: I wasn't impressed by this string at all. Sure the tension maintenance was excellent, but that's about the only thing that's good about this string. This string plays stiff. Power isn't good for a premium multi. It has slightly more power than many of the Synthetic gut. But, worst of all is the durability. It broke in 5hrs and it was a closed pattern racquet. Maybe X-Cel might be a better choice if your in the market for a good multi.

Comments: This is really good string. It feels almost like a natural gut such as Babolat. It has a very crisp feel, it holds its tension until breaking, and usually lasts for about 6 hrs of hitting. This is a good choice if you don’t want to spend $40 for the real thing. I am a 4.5 player and play from the baseline.

Comments: I had my Volkl Quantum V1 OS strung with this string @ 61lbs on a constant pull machine. The first few times I played with it, it felt like a board, except I doubt a board would've delivered that much pain. In less than a week I developed an elbow/shoulder problem. I had it restrung with a more resilient string and now I'm having no problem. Maybe this string would be good for a really flexy racquet.

Comments: I finally tried this string out after a recommendation and it's a pretty powerful string. Much more powerful than Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17. The spin potential is about the same, but it doesn't hold tension quite as well as a monofilament and the strings started to move after 2 hours of play. It did feel very crisp for a multifilament string and it was comfortable. I haven't made a decision yet on sticking with this string. Certain types of shots I felt that this string excelled in which were from deep behind the baseline as this string being so powerful and slicing was easy. I had trouble with low shots against a flat under spin hitter because I let my racquet face open up to get the ball off of the ground and then the shot just goes way up in the air like a flyball in baseball. Otherwise, against a high ball hitting topspinner it's good since I can keep my racquet face in. It'll take some work to adjust on those low balls since I'm using to using the lower powered Gosen strings.

Comments: I have been a Tecnifibre NRG2, Wilson NXT 17 and Gamma Live Wire 17 user for two years now. While I liked them, they have a "mushy" felling, especially after about 10 hours of playing time, that I did not care about and also the tension did not hold up either. I tried "LaserFibre Laser Supreme 17" strings and they do NOT have that soft mushy feel and the strings don't move as the others do. They are more responsive, consistent with a great solid feel. This is a great surprise - superb strings!

Comments: I finally tried the LaserFibre Laser Supreme 17 after hearing so many rave about it in the TW message boards here. It's certainly a very good string and it lives up to what the manufactuturer and reviewers claim. Good feel, power with control, low-impact and strings move very little.

In my opinion, the feel is 30% similar to natural gut and more solid on impact. I thought GAMMA TNT 17L/17/18 had really good feel but the Supreme 17 is definitely better than any of them or any synthetics I have tried. TNT tends to lose tension very fast and I hope the Supreme can last more than a month for me. I really enjoy the Supreme 17gauge feel.

I use a HEAD Ti. Rad OS which is why I usually string at a higher tension for more control. I took the advice of dropping the tension 1 pound lower the usual as some think it's a stiff string. According to my experience, I didn't find the Supreme strings too stiff and I thought I could have reverted back to 61lbs. or higher instead of 60lbs., to trade more control for power. This is why perhaps I am using an oversize.

It is too soon for me to judge the durability yet but it seems that the minimal movement of the strings might make it less prone to friction. That is because there is a smooth and oily-like coating on the strings that ensure the strings slide back into place.

The only drawback is that LaserFibre Laser Supreme 17 string is not available in Singapore and I have to wait for my friends to travel to the States again. It's also a little expensive for me after the currency conversion. Overall, I am very satisfied with the string and I will be using this as my best choice for a long while.

Comments: Very nice soft string, it really feels great. It feels even better than the Babolat Excel Premium (16G though). I am not sure how durable it will be since I generally play with 16G string. The feel is wonderful, I will try the Laser Supreme 16 if I break this to soon. A must try for people who like a soft muted feel.

Comments: Laser Supreme 16 and 17 strings, as well as SuperNatural Pro Stock, will hold tension and playability until the string breaks. This is something that most other strings simply don't do and usually need to be cut before they break. The Laser Supreme does play more crisp and the Laser Tour has that monofilament feel. I do suggest that you string the Supreme 2-3 lbs lower than usual as its tension maintenance capability may make it too stiff feeling at your usual tension.

Comments: I have used LaserFibre Supreme for over two years now and still it is my favorite. I have compared it to Gamma TNT, Prince Syn Gut Soft, Technifiber TR-Pro (same as NXT), Gosen Super Tec Gut Plus, and others. The Prince Syn Gut Soft comes the closest to Supreme. Supreme excels at holding tension for a long time, also in control with power and a crisp but soft feel. I tried the 16 gauge Supreme but it was a bit thick/heavy for a 16g. 17g seems just right.
From: Chamberlain, Long Beach, CA. USA 6/01

Comments: I have used the LaserFibre Supreme 17 as an alternative to the Technifibre NRG2 17g. I find that the laserFibre retains resilience for longer but has a tendency for string breakage. One out of two string jobs goes within 2 hours. I think that this may be a result of the laser melding of the multifilament. It doesn't fray or deaden, but there may be a trade off in terms of brittleness at points aong the string. I may reduce tension down from 60lbs to 58.

Comments: I found the LaserFibre Laser Supreme 17g to be a superior string. It's firm but not hard on the arm. The durability is just better than other multifilaments. It has good, contained power and excellent control. Along with Babalot FiberFeel, it's one of two synthetic strings that I use when I don't want to spring for the cost of gut.

Comments: I find LaserFibre Supreme 17 guage to be an extremely playable string. It has very good control, and spin. Power is excellent, with a very firm feel. At 56lbs in my Response Ti, it has outplayed and outlasted every other multifilament I've tried. The only string I like better is BDE Performance gut, and even then, only slight improvements are evident.
From: Dave, Westminster, MD. USA 4/01

Comments: I have used LaserFibre Laser Supreme 17g exclusively for the last two years and find it provides excellent control, durability and a crisp playability with little string movement. It's not the softest string, but very precise response. I string at 65lbs in a Volkl X2 OS and get two months wear before strings start to move badly; playing 4-5 times a week. Other softer strings (Prince syn gut w/Duraflex 17, Gamma TNT 17) did not provide the control I was looking for. Slightly superior to LaserFibre Tour 17, probably due to multifilament composition.
