Comments: I now have three of these sticks in my bag. I switched from a Prince racquet to the Bab 107. It was truly eye opening. My game has improved greatly. The topspin and slice as well as the power that this racquet generates are something to see. I was so impressed by this racquet that I got my 15 year old daughter the 110. My wife tried the 110 and stole it from my daughter. I had to buy 2 more 110 sticks and now I have 3 more Prince racquets for sale. This is a really good product line. Friends and teammates of ours have tried our racquets and many of them plan on buying the Babolat line of sticks.

Comments: I just bought my 107 yesterday and started playing it today. What a stick!!! Everything I did with my previous 107 Oversize racquets ( Head Radical & Prince NXG Tour) was there, but I had much more spin, pace, and control. My Topspin shots off both sides were very deep and/or angled just before the lines, slice stayed very low, drop shots were very precise, and my serve's pace greatly increased without compromising accuracy. I decided on this first day of hitting that I'd not hold back, in order to determine the limit of control of the racquet. Guess what, after trying all of the above, and hitting my opponents off the court, I never even found the control limit vs my hitting power. I still had a safety margin. I just need to adjust a bit on my volleys as it's not as maneuverable as the Radical and NXG tour at the net, i guess because of the tapered and wider beam compared to them. But that's tomorrow. I'd recommend it to those who hit with a lot of spin and power but want a stick that can harness those traits thru excellent distance (long & short) and directional control.

Comments:I was worried that why my game is not improving. Finally I realized the main problem is the racquet i'm using. My service was not accurate as well as the backhand because i was using wilson hammer H rival which is very light(8.3 oz) to prevent elbow injury, then i thought a lot about the problem.i came to a decision to purchase BABOLAT pure drive 100 cortex.OH! what a racquet!? Now i am going to India to play inter club tournament from where i was a normal club player. I bought this racquet from TW from USA.

Comments: Nice and well powered stick. The control is there too. Played at a club with this stick and expected it to be overpowered for my game. The racquet performed better than I had hoped, seeing that access to spin was present in excess and the light weight helped my racquet positioning on my backhand, therefore improving it. Power on serves greatly exceeded that of my current Volkl DNX 10 mid. The backhand power was excellent and the sweetspot very forgiving. I could easily flatten out forehands with a short swing and gained loopy spins with an extreme semi-western grip. The only gripe that I had was that if I hit up on the ball too much on my forehand, the ball would fly a little. Overall: 9.5/10

Comments: I play 4 times a week and only singles. The transition to this racquet was quick and easy as it is a solid racquet all the way around...good control, reasonable power and larger sweetspot makes it a bit more forgiving. Great angles and accuracy and especially on serves and two-handed backhand. Also good feel at the net. In my view, the power is not excessive as some suggest but I play with a lot of topspin on both wings and string it above the stated tension range. And don't be misled by the larger head size as it provides the best of both worlds...good control, reasonable power and a slightly larger sweetspot...all good things.

Comments: Great racquet for volleys and serves but you need a lot of control (spin) for groundstrokes. Racquet is stiff but can be helped by softer string if tendency is to arm problems. Very clean hitting racquet but as mentioned earlier, you need a lot of control (feel) to keep the power at bay. Excellent for older, better players with no arm problems, lead may even help with this but care should be taken not to destroy the existing balance.

Comments: After demoing most of the Babolat racquets I found this one to be best for me. The larger head size gives it a much more forgiving sweetpot compared to the other 100 sq in babolat, especially if you use a full western grip and use heavy topspin. Groundstrokes are excellent and powerful if you have a higher swing speed and use lots of topspin. Has plenty of power, sometimes too much if you use a lot of flat shots. Only complaint is it's a bit light and could use a bit more heft for better 1 handed backhands.

Comments: I really like this racquet. I've had it for about two months now. It's got plenty of power and a lot of bite. The cortex gives it a really soft feel, too. But do yourself a favour: string it at a high tension, somewhere around 65 pounds or so. Anything less than that and you'll be hitting it everywhere. A racquet like this needs control.

Comments: I bought this babalot pure drive 107 racquet and tried different strings until i put in a hybrid type. This racquet plays great ,great topspin, serves well great control and accuratacy good for doubles being head light also depending what type string you use in it will make the racquet perform well. Volleying was good too with this racquet. It's great to use, no vibrations, solid feel and good touch. You should give this one a try with your favorite strings. Consistency is key to help your game. thanks gjr

Comments: I just got this racquet for my birthday. Before I used an old Prince and the first shot I hit with it was like magic. I'm #1 on my tennis team and I love the cortex system it makes every shot, topspin, slice, and even flat shots feel like a hot knife in butter. Before I had it I had a first serve percentage of around 35 to 40% and now it's around 65%. I would recommend this racquet to everyone who is looking for an all around good racquet.

Comments: I used to play with a Wilson nCode N1. Very light and powerful but it gave me tennis elbow. I switched to this racket, which is heavier and I think the Cortex aborbs shock. My tennis elbow has been cured. I've had to lengthen my strokes because of the lower power, but overall I am satisfied.

Comments: I had played a pair of Prince Precision Response for last nine years and finally had to admit my arm is slowing down. Demo'd the 107 against the Prince 03 Red and Wilson KZen rotating racquets every 4 games. I liked the 107 best, especially stiffness and balance. Yesterday played my own new 107's with NXT 18 strings at 56# and confirmed my choice.

Comments: I demoed the Pure Drive+(100sq in) and thought that was the one for me but then tried this and fell in love wth it. I hit very heavy topspin and have a very large kick serve, and this racquet got everything I hit under control. Love it. But I found that the racquet is not quite as heavy as I liked so some lead tape really helped.

Comments: Totally a much better racket than the Pure Drive Team 110 that I used previously. This racket has much better feel with a lot of pop as I hit a heavy (topspin) ball. With the Cortex system it's easy on my arm and elbow. It's also easy for me to string with 2 pieces of string (Prince Duraflex 16g) with this racket. I would recommend this racket to serious players looking for the "pop" in an oversize racket!

Comments: After 3 months of demo play of all sizes and shapes of racquets to replace my last remaining Wilson Hyper-Pros, I finally chose this make and model. But it wasn't until I finally married it to the Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour string that I finally felt confident in the choice. I tend to hit with a lot of topspin, and the combination of the two really gave me the best of both control and pop. I am able to absorb the power of any shot hit to me and return it with confidence. Volleys took a bit of getting used to because of the cortex absorbing so much of the force feel of the ball, but I am getting used to the lack of feedback and they are getting better. Hopefully Babolat won't stop making these for a while.

Comments: After accidentally breaking my Pure Drive OS (which I loved), I bought two of these rackets to replace it. I struggled with string tension at 60 lb. I could not get enough oomph on my first serve. I'm not an advanced player (yet), and I do find that balls sail on me especially with the Continental grip. I've recently switched to a Western grip on both wings, and it really seems to be helping. These racquets also really seem to be made for monofilament strings. When I strike an offensive forehand perfectly, the cortex system lets out a dramatic metallic "chunk" sound, giving me aural feedback I've never had before. My slice and topspin backhands are usually rock solid, indicating to me that the PD107 really does reward spin in preference to power. Not sure this is the best racquet for advanced players.

Comments: I have been playing with two Babolat Pure Drive 107's for about a month now. I play 7-10 times per week. I have found great access to spin and power. The racquet is a good bit heavier than a normal OS, but this frame remains extremely maneuverable. I find nice pop on my serves and volleys, but with almost all shots, if hit flat, the ball will sail. For players who use spin on most shots this is a great choice, and for those looking to gain spin this should be on their list to demo. Great stick. Would recommend to anyone at or above the 3.5 level due to the fact that it takes some discipline to harness the power of the Pure Drive series.

Comments: I wanted to wait and be sure before submitting a review, but now I'm sure. I really like the combination of control and power in the Pure Drive 107. I'd been playing with the AeroPro Drive Plus, but after six months, developed my first ever case of tennis elbow. My local dealer gave me big arm-full of Babolats to try for a week, including several of their new 2006 models. The Pure Control Team I liked, but the Pure Drive 107 I LOVED! The guys I play with didn't hesitate to say what a difference this racquet made in my game. At first I wondered if the Cortex system was a gimmick, but after just one match I noticed less pain compared to the AeroPro Drive. Now, I'm pain-free and still loving this racquet. A little lead added to the head brings my strung weight up to 11.9 oz.

Comments: I switched from a Pure Drive Team Plus to the Pure Drive Cortex 107 looking for a more forgiving racquet, as a suggestion from my tennis pro. I have to say it hit the spot! This is an amazing racquet, quite powerful even if you still get some good control. I recommend stringing above 59 lbs to gain more control. If you have arm problems, the cortex is quite good. Try blending poly on the mains with soft string on the crosses if you still think it could be too stiff.

Comments: The Babolat Pure Drive 107 stands out from the rest of the oversizes. It is a very control oriented racquet and the spin potential coming off of the open string pattern is phenomenal. The new cortex has helped the stiffness of this racquet. I had tendinitis in my wrist before switching to this racquet and now my wrist has not hurt since. This racquet is easy on the arm and it is pretty maneuverable at net also. The serves, volleys, and overheads are close to perfect. The thing I love most about this racquet are the groundstrokes I can hit with it. Before switching to this racquet, I was hitting every ball short. Now, the balls are going deeper into the court and with very good pace also. You can hit great drop shot with this racquet too. I play on my high school tennis team and I have not lost a match yet using this racquet. I'm 8-0 and I'm #2 on my team.

Comments: From the first few shots I hit with this racquet, I fell in love. It provides surprising control for a power-oriented racquet, especially when you can put topspin on your shots. Before coming across this racquet, my serving consistency was only around 50%. Thanks to the open string pattern, I am now over 65%. Volleys are also very easy to hit with this racquet, its large head allowing for control to hit your spots and get a few winners. However, if you are not a player who can generate a lot of spin on your shots, I would not recommend this racquet as its power makes flat shots difficult to control.

Comments: This racquet is amazing. I have used the PD/cortex 100 and did not like the feel. This racquet has a lot to offer in the way of control with the right grip. My serves had added another level of power and spin to them. The groundies are heavier and deeper according to my opponents. I play a lot of doubles and the volleys are easy to hit as well. The strung weight can vary though so it is hard to get one the right posted weight.

Comments: This racquet is very difficult to get used to if you generate a lot of head speed. For me balls fly every where so I have to brush up on the side of the ball rather than hit through it so if you use a continental grip this is not the racquet for you.

Comments: I purchased this racquet about 2 months ago and I am having a love-hate relationship with it. I have been playing with the Babolat OS 110 Team for about a year. Great racquet, but I wanted an update so I bought the 107. It is heavier but swings much lighter due to the balance, so it takes a while to get used to. The sound when striking the ball is muffled. I’ve made some incredible shots and aces with this racquet, but you don't get that crisp winner sound that you get with other racquets. Some days I love it and other days I hate it. The biggest problem is the handle is a lot shorter than the 110 OS. I play 2 hands both forehand and backhand sides so the butt cap of the racquet digs into the heel of my hand and it hurts. I would not recommend this racquet to 2 handed (even just backhanded) players. The butt cap protrudes more than on the older model also. If this racquet had a longer handle it would be perfect.

Comments: This was a surprisingly playable racquet for players who hit with a lot of spin -- any kind of spin, as slice shots stay low and biting, and topspin is heavy and penetrating. Flat shots will generally sail long with this powerful stick. Open string pattern makes it a nice serving racquet, and the big head makes it a pleasure to pick floaters out of the air to put away a volley. Really a nice players oversize racquet for those who have aged out of the POG OS. But if your elbow has aged with you, beware. I'm not sure the cortex system offers much protection, and my elbow began to feel some of that 70 flex as the match wore on.

Comments: I LOVE this racket! I've been looking to transition from my Babolat Pure Drive OS to a heavier racket and I've finally found the one. This baby feels great on serve and especially on my groundstrokes and volleys. There's a more solid and stable feel compared to my Babolat Pure Drive OS racket. Volleys are much easier to control. It might take you a couple of days to get use to the weight if you're transitioning from the Pure Drive OS so be patient cause it's definitely worth it. The handle is a little shorter compared to the Pure Drive OS but you'll get use to it.

Comments: If you are looking for an oversize, this is worth a try. This is a much better stick than the previous oversize pure drive, which was too thick and had too much power. This racket plays more like the original pure drive with simply a bigger hitting area and the benefits of the cortex system. It has a stable and consistent response. I think it plays much better with some extra lead but cheers to Babolat for recognizing the need for good oversize rackets for serious/competitive players.

Comments: This is a great racquet. I purchased it a week after it was released and have been playing with it for about 2 weeks so far. I just upgraded from a Babolat Soft Drive and used a Pure Drive for a few weeks before my purchase of the Pure Drive 107. It feels quite a bit like a Pure Drive and the new cortex system that was added makes the feel of the racquet even better. It's worth it!
