Wilson Tour II White/Blk/Silver Women's Shoes Customer feedback

Comments: My daughter LOVES this shoe! It wears good, looks good. This shoe is the best if you have no arch. She has worn the tour I, now the II. It appears they are discontinuing it however?? We just bought two more pair for reserves; wish we could afford more!

Comments: I love the shoes. I bought my first pair before reading the comments. I am glad I didn't read the comments. Now I am on my 3rd pair. I find them light weight, stable, and very comfortable. I prefer it than K-Swiss and Adidas Barricade I wore before.

Comments: Bought the Tour II's for my daughter who plays tennis almost every day. After 2 weeks, the outside of the rear shoe near the heel is literally falling apart like it is made out of styrofoam. Except for that defect, the shoe has a wider forefoot and my daughter likes the feel. We will not be buying another pair due to the defect however.

Comments: I loved the Tour I. I bought Tour II and they don't feel the same. Am on the court 3-6 days a week and went back to old pair of Tour I and they still felt great. Bring back the Tour I.

Comments: This shoe is horrible I bought it and it was an expensive shoe. Within a couple months they were wrecked. I returned them and got the same pair to try again and within a week I had to return them again. They are not worth wasting your money on.

Comments: I play about 15 hours a week and trade off between the tour II (on my second pair) and barricades. If you need the stability, these are nice. I wear the tour II a half size larger than my barricades. The exterior of the tour II in a 9 is shorter than the exterior of the 8.5 barricade. The fit is the same.

Comments: I bought these shoes a couple of months ago. I still have not been able to wear them in match play. They are killing my feet. I have never had black toenails, but now I have two. I also have multiple blisters and they feel like concrete boots. I bought them because there was not supposed to be any break-in. I have tried four times to wear them to a practice. They are still killing me.

Comments: I am a college player and this shoe was not durable. I had to return it multiple times.

Comments: I recently started teaching 5-6 hrs a day and needed to find a good comfortable shoe. I bought Adidas, K-Swiss and the Wilson shoe. At first the Tour II was the most comfortable and I thought I had found a great shoe. As most of you have mentioned previously, the elastic around the foot eventually starts to cutoff circulation and leaves your feet feeling trapped. I also agree with the statement above regarding the cushion in the heel - there is none. THIS SHOE is great for the average 1 to 2 days a week player. Any person requiring more court time support, should look elsewhere.

Comments: I wonder if anyone from Wilson actually reads this feedback? My Tour Is are really no longer playable. However, every time I put on the Tour IIs my feet ache and the tops of my little toes start to hurt/blister. I hate the thought of having to find yet another shoe - the Tour Is were so perfect for my feet. I am on the court 4-5 times a week coaching or playing.

Comments: I loved these shoes...my feet felt good after a match. For once I was not in pain...I wished I would have bought more that two pairs... very comfortable..no break-in time. I play 4 to 5 times a week at 4.0 level.

Comments: I LOVE these shoes. I am on my 4th pair! And have two more in my closest just in case they are discontinued. I wear orthotics, and in the past I have had an awful time finding a shoe that they fit well into and that are comfortable. My foot is extremely narrow and flat and I do not have a problem with these. There is no break in time needed. These shoes are WONDERFUL.

Comments: I loved the Wilson II, I bought them because I thought they were cute...they also turned out to be very comfortable shoe.

Comments: I agree with all the fans of Tour I: Wilson shouldn't have messed with a good thing (oh, if I had a nickel for every backward step made in the name of "upgrade."). I had three pairs of the Tour I, a shoe which provided stability and good court feel, and did not require breaking in. They felt like part of my feet. The Tour II feels like my feet are encased in in fibre blocks. I don't have good court feel and am afraid I might trip over my own feet. Frankly, I'm not sure what shoe to wear now.

Comments:I was a huge fan of the Wilson Tour I's. Had several pairs, and loved almost everything about them. The Tour II's have been an extreme disappointment. They are heavy, cumbersome and still horribly stiff after numerous wearings. No out of the box comfort with this shoe. My feet and toes hurt terribly after wearing them. I definitely DO NOT recommend this shoe!

Comments: I am very disappointed that Wilson has discontinued the Tour I only to replace it with the Tour II. I loved the Tour I with the exception that I wore them out too fast. I thought that the Tour II would have all of the benefits of the original version but that it would now last longer. HOW WRONG, the Tour II hurt my feet so bad, I've lost toe nails on both feet and got blisters just trying to break them in. One month later they are no better and I'm wearing my old Tour I shoes until I can find a suitable replacement. I play a lot of tennis on both clay and hard court surfaces, although the outsole is very durable. The compromise is a less flexible shoe that's really hard on the foot. I expected a much better shoe for the amount I paid.

Comments: I loved the Wilson Tour, and was disappointed when Wilson replaced it with the Tour II. I figured I'd give it a shot though, because the alternative was to find a whole different shoe. I've had many problems with shoes in the past - ranging from plantar fasciitis to toenail issues (even wearing a half size bigger shoe). After wearing the Tour II for 3 weeks, I've developed plantar fasciitis again, this time in my heel. This shoe has very little heel cushioning. I'm going to try insoles to see if that helps, because I really hate to waste $100!

Comments: My last 12 pairs of tennis shoes were the Tour 1s, I just tried playing in the and I completely agree with Kris from Tucson, because of the mesh and plastic this shoe provides zero stability. My toes, ankles and feet hurt and friend of mine said she stop playing in hers because of knee pain! I'm so disappointed that Wilson changed the design of the Tour 1. Bring back the Tour 1s please!

Comments: I bought these shoes after trying them on at my local tennis club. I thought they were very cute and read the online description about them, which said they were good. I was one the tennis team at my school also. When I got them I felt like my feet were inside of a very uncomfortable box. For two weeks I got terrible blisters on my feet. The shoes are durable, I have had them now for nine months, but every time I take them off my feet, they are wet and in pain, I do not recommend this shoe to anyone. I can't wait to get a new pair of sneakers now.
From: Janet, New York, USA. 6/08

Comments: I am disappointed that Wilson took what was probably their best shoe ever (Tour I) and made changes that compromise the performance of the shoe. The plastic lace eyes do not hold the laces and it's a huge challenge to tighten the shoe properly. This allows the foot to slide around, NOT a good thing on the court. The old model fit like a driving glove! Also, with the plastic where it is, the upper breaks down quickly at the flex point, particularly laterally (due to the above looseness). Yes, they are comfy to walk around in. But please, Wilson, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!

Comments: Love this shoe. I have used Wilson for the past 4 years and have been a fan of the ProStaff 1000 shoe. I bought these because of the looks, but my feet have never felt better. I wear a 9.0 and have a wide foot. I play 3-4 times weekly at the 4.0 level and need support as I play both singles and doubles. I am going to purchase at least 2 more pair because as usual I fear they will be discontinued soon.
From: Monica, Fairfield, CA, USA. 6/08

Comments: These shoes are wonderful! I have orthotics, and in the past have had a terrible time finding a shoe that they fit well into. My foot is very narrow and I do not have a problem with these. There is no break in time, and I like them so much that I have purchased two more pairs before they are discontinued. Very true to size and very breathable. I am also very hard on shoes (dragging my toe) and after 4 months of playing about 5 or 6 days a week there is no sign of wear.

Comments: I always wore Nike tennis shoes, but recently had my luggage lost on the way to a tennis vacation and bought a pair of Tour I Wilson shoes on sale to get me through until my shoes arrived. I could not believe how comfortable they were. I loved them the minute I stepped on the court. No break in time at all. They are light, but provide great support. With Nike, I often felt like I was walking on the court in socks after an hour of play. I have been wearing the Tour I, playing 5 times a week, for almost 6 months and they show no wear on the sole. I liked them so much that I tried to buy another pair before they quit making the Tour I, but could not find any in my size. I then bought the Tour II. I like it, too, but not quite as much as the Tour I because 1) the little plastic strips that hold the laces are harder to adjust. Why they changed to that deal, I will never know. 2) The Tour II is a little wider in the forefoot, and my foot is better in the Tour I. But for someone with a wide foot, the Tour II would be great. I am a Wilson fan and will not go back to Nike.

Comments: Recently, I have tried every shoe available from Adidas to K-Swiss to New Balance, and this one is by far the best! I hope Wilson keeps making these for a long time! Great fit in the forefoot and heel, true to size, very stable with great lateral support, medium in weight and not too bulky! No break-in period required! I play 3-4 times a week at 4.0 level.
From: Julie, Roseville, CA. 2/08

Comments: I'm a 4.0 player, and I always bought Wilson shoes, but there is an elastic in both sides inside the shoe that makes it very uncomfortable.
