Comments: Overall a great racquet, needed some adjustments due to its really light weight. Alot of lead tape in the handle and some on the 3 O'clock and 9 O'clock helped make the racquet feel more stable. It took a few days but I eventually found the power and control this racquet had to offer and the spin on it isn't bad either

Comments: This version of the Wilson Surge is very different than previous models. I have played with all big 6.0. 6.1 rackets and can handle them all but I wanted something that was a little lighter. Great stability, can hold the big shots and wonderful at the net. Serving is accurate and you have no problem in putting some pace eon the ball...or heavy slice. I am sure you will like it.

Comments: I recently bought this stick this November 2011. I used to hit with a Head TiS5 but got some elbow problem so I try this Wilson BLX Surge. I liked it the moment I started rallying with some partners, and think that this will be a good stick for me for a long time. Try this and feel the blend of power and balance in your shots.

Comments: This is the best racquet I've played with so far. I added a bit of weight to the handle and it plays splendid. I've tried out virtually every racquet from Yonex to Head, and this has been the best for me so far.

Comments: Simply an amazing racquet! I dismissed it right away based on its light weight(279 grams unstrung) and because I never heard of it. I put a prince hybrid string on and 10 grams of lead tape in the handle and hit the court. Great topspin, perfect feel, great balance, maneuverable, had some nice pop (yet slightly muted) great sweet spot, nice control. It shines at the net. It has useful power but compared with say Pure Drive Roddick you don't get to push your opponent back but you can create angles so much easier.

Comments: This racquet's power levels is absolutely astonishing. All my club members tease me because I have my racquet tension at 37 pounds. This to me is the most complete frame out of the whole BLX line. CHEERS!

Comments: Love the racquet. I had the k Pro Open and really liked that. It had great stability, power, and it was a fast swinging racquet. Switched to the BLX Pro Open and found it was a burden to try to swing it. I had to play with some lead tape and still it wasn't as free-swinging as the k Pro. The Surge has great pop and stability despite its weight, and I find the lightweight nice after a long day of coaching and playing. For those that liked the k Pro over the BLX, definitely try this.

Comments: I've been searching for a new racquet for the last 2 years and could never seem to find the 'right' one. I absolutely love this racquet! It's a great blend between control and power. It's lightweight to provide what I need around the net, great on groundstrokes, and provides incredible pop on my serves and overheads. I can't believe I finally found a racquet I can call 'home' again! I play mostly doubles, have a med-fast/heavy power swing and never felt like I had to change my swing speed to adjust to this new racquet. A keeper! I just ordered a second one!

Comments: This is a great racquet!! It has amazing feel and control with a good amount of power to go along. I really liked this racquet for my all around game, it provides good pop off the serves and a really crisp feel on the volleys and a great balance of power and control even off of a shorter swing. This is an all around great choice.

Comments: I took a chance on the Surge, and I personally enjoyed the K Factor Surge, but this racket felt weird to me, possibly it could have been the grip size was too small, but it felt like I was loosing control of the racket every time I swung, I let my friends tried it out, they said it was perfect and had a lot of control and feel, maybe I'm just a equal balance, or head heavy person.

Comments: What is the actual weight of this racquet because I see on other sites that it is 10.4 oz strung but on here it says that it is 10.2 oz strung.

Comments: Really nice racquet - light, but plenty of power and excellent control. I'm a smallish woman and this racquet rocks.

Comments: Played my first match with this racquet last night and loved it more than I ever thought I would have for such a light racquet. It actually felt more stable on off center hits than my BLX Pro Open, which is surprising for such a lighter frame. Good control and great pop on my serve. Combination of power and control was nice and this has become my gamer over my Becker 11 Light.

Comments: This racquet is really great. I am 15 yrs old and have been playing for about 4 years. I would say that I am an advanced player and although the racquet says it's for a sort of intermediate level, I play really well with it. It is nice and light, creates great spin and power with control. I would highly recommend this racquet.
From: Chiran, Tampa, FL, USA, 06/10

Comments: Just demoed this racquet from the Wilson pro at my club. I really enjoyed the demo. I use the Kfactor six one tour, so this racquet felt fairly light to me, making it feel slightly unstable. Nothing a little lead tape in the head can't fix. It had a very large, easy to use sweetspot without sacrificing much in the integrity of the racquet. The BLX was a little bit less crisp than the Kfactor, but on the other hand I felt I was hitting my shots a little bit more accurately and I was able to hit touch shots and drop shots slightly easier than before. Compared to my gold standard Six one Tour, I would give this racquet 8/10.
