Wilson Pro Soft Overgrips Customer feedback
Comments: An awful grip that cost me a racket (served into the ground). The labeling is misleading - according to
the rating guide on the packaging the grip is supposed to have better comfort, absorption and feel than the Wilson Pro Overgrip,
and equal tack. Well it very obviously has worse absorption and tack. It's thicker than the Pro and hard to wrap without creasing.
Comments: The worst grip I have ever used. I had to take it off half way
through a set and use my replacement grip because it was so slippery. Absolutely no tack or dry feel. It basically just feels like a
Tourna grip when you use the wrong side. Normally I'd say that if you
have sweaty hands don't buy this, but if you like you're grips with
absorbency, dry or tacky feel, don't buy this!
Comments: This is a terrible grip. They are way to slick and thick. I could not say anything about durability because
I did not like it from the beginning so I never left one on long enough to find out.
Comments: If you are someone with sweaty hands, I definitely would NOT recommend this overgrip. It is extremely
slippery and if you are a good player, the racket will be slipping out of your hand and into the floor every time you serve.
Comments: I bought this product, and then started to regret it. My hands have blisters, only lasted me for couple of
weeks. The grip at the start hurts and later on, it feels soft. Then the tack vanished, making it hard to get grip on it. Go with either
the pro overgrip or the Yonex supergrap.
Comments: I find Wilson Pro Soft to be a very comfortable and probably the most forgiving grip on the hands,
compared to other overgrips I have used. It also has a decent amount of tackiness, when compared to Wilson Pro, Yonex Super
Grap, Tourna Grip (which are really good grips in their own right). And if your hands don't sweat that much and tacky grips are
giving you blisters (which is my case), Pro Soft is a very good choice. But if you have very sweaty hands, maybe it's probably better
to go for Tourna grip.
Comments: I've tried several replacement grips on my racquet but keep coming back to using two of these
overgrips instead of a replacement grip. They provide a good grip with just the right amount of cushion -- somewhere between
the better plush grips and a standard grip.
Comments: This is a very poor grip in my opinion. I have sweaty hands and play tennis a lot. I'm a strong 4.0 to 4.5.
It's not very tacky and rather slippery actually. I'd stick with Yonex Super Grap.
Comments: This grip is quite good but the problem is people tend to get blisters from this grip. I just used some
medical tape to prevent that from happening so it all works out.
Comments: Way too slippery after 2 games and some sweating. Have to throw away the remaining ones (2 of them).
Yes, Wilson pro overgrip was much better. Or if you have enough money, just use a real grip and keep replacing them in a week.
Eg. Wilson True grip.
Comments: I thought the grip was going to be better, there wasn't much tackiness and the grips shreds down fast,
but the good thing is it feels awesome!
Comments: This is definitely a disappointment. Not nearly as much grip or feel, and it doesn't seem to be nearly as
durable. Go with the Pro overgrip not this one.
Comments: I play 4 to 5 hours a day and I feel that this is the best grip I have ever used. I have to change it about
every week and a half. However, I still get blisters, but they don't hurt as bad cause the grip is soft. It also absorbs the sweat and I
can play an entire match without having to change my grip. LOVE IT!! I have the 50 pack:)
Comments: I did not like this grip. Too slippery for me, doesn't grip much. I used it new and I had to replace in the
middle of the game. I love Wilson Pro, using it for quite some time and stick to it. I won't recommend this grip.
Comments: Wore down quickly, very poor grip.
Comments: This overgrip is horrible. I love the Wilson Pro and the Wilson Pro perforated and I was hoping this
would be a softer version with more cushion. It has a slimy slippery feel to begin with and once you start hitting the racquet slides
all over the place. I'm sticking with the regular Wilson Pro and the Pro perforated.
Comments: I really like the Pro Overgrip because it's flashy in the beginning and it's easy to play games with the
grip without the racquet slipping on your hands. After you play a couple of games, the grip turns like a blackish colour which
makes it look dirty. I don't think that this grip is better compared to the Head and Babolat grip.
Comments: This grip is so much better that the Wilson Pro Overgrip, and the Wilson Pro Overgrip got dirty really
quickly. I recommend this overgrip.
Comments: What a trashy grip! Wears down way too quickly and doesn't grip much.
Comments: Very prone to slipping. Used in a humid environment, as soon as it absorbed some sweat, it was done.
Had to take it off and use my Babolat VS overgrip.
Comments: I didn't like this grip. I loved Pro overgrip. I thought it would be close to the same but "softer." I was
wrong. Sticking with Pro.
Comments: I just played with one on my KBlade Tour. It sucked. Flat out disappointment. I thought it would be like
the Pro White only a bit more absorbent, but I was wrong. The grip was too prone to slipping because of its sanded surface, and
because it slipped so much, I ended up blisters at the end of my game. I'm going to buy the pro white next time and save some
money.
Comments: I purchased this grip, for I have tried the Wilson Pro Overgrip and had liked it. However, this grip was a
huge letdown for me. I liked it at first, but soon found out that this grip was too prone to slipping. Every time I hit the ball, the
racket would slip dramatically, causing my shot to fly everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this grip to anyone.
Comments: This is not a good overgrip. I have very sweaty hands and right from the get go my hands twisted a lot
with this grip. Since using this, I've switched to Yonex super grap and am much happier.
Comments: This grip is my number one choice. Your first impression when you stroke your finger across it is that
it's not at all tacky and that all you feel is a powdered material (meant for absorption). But when you wrap it around your racquet's
handle you realize that the tack is activated only when you grip it with pressure as you would in a match.
This characteristic is genius; it gives ease to changing between your forehand and backhand grips because of the absence of tack,
but when you're actually making contact with the ball, the tack is activated by your hand's pressure and thus the prevention of
twisting.
I also tried the Wilson Pro overgrip and initially liked it even more than the Pro Soft. However, if your hands don't sweat at all like
mine, chances are you'll end up with blisters using the Wilson Pro. And so I've switched back to the Pro Soft and I don't think I'll
ever use any other grip. Simply put, it is perfect.
Comments: This grip is super tacky, and it lasts a long time even after it gets brown.
Comments: This overgrip is just like Wilson Pro overgrips. It's soft, sticky and comfortable like the original Pro
overgrip, but it's a bit thicker. The thickness provides more comfort and absorbency. If you like Wilson Pro overgrips and are
looking for more comfort and absorbency, then this will be your best choice.
