Comments: I umpire tennis matches pro, junior, and college plus play 3.5 level tennis. These are the only shoes that I have found that are comfortable all day and my legs and feet don't hurt at night or the next morning. Great shoes.
Comments: Great shoes for coaching! I would not recommend these for hard-core players, especially those who are Nadal-type hustler and Monfils-type sliders. The are virtually weightless, great support for the feet and really nice looking. The problems are that the back of the shoes are a little too high, the materials on top are too unpredictable and the wear and tear is highly suspect. However, if you are a coach like me, they are heaven. Nice to walk in and great for comfort and relaxation after many many hours of giving students instructions. Good pair coach's shoes, players be aware.
Comments: Highly recommended. I wore these for nine months, and I play 4+ times a week. They finally wore out and I bought another shoe because these were so high-priced. The new ones felt so clunky I decided I had to go back to these, so I bought two more pair. These are so light and comfortable and durable I don't see how I'll ever be able to play with anything else. I did have to put in a heel orthotic. 9/10
Comments: I like these shoes a lot. I used to have big toe nail breaking/infecting issues but not with these shoes -- great around the toes and superb ventilation. Overall extremely comfortable and very agile feel out of the box. Plenty of cushion yet maybe not the total support you would get in a boxier/heavier shoe, but enough for intense all court play. The thick rubber toe wrap is a good feature and contributes to its durability. I'm a 4.5 + athletic player in my 40's and have never been happier than with these Wilson's; hope they're never discontinued!
Comments: Not recommended for NTRP 4.0 or higher players. They are extremely comfortable and lightweight, but offer very little support when changing direction. They really do feel like you're wearing slippers or socks but unfortunately, this is not translating to support. Also, the extensive use of mesh in the uppers resulted in extremely poor durability although this was great for ventilation. Both the inside and outside of each foot was worn through and literally ripping off the sole within two months of playing on clay courts. I would imagine these could be great shoes for tennis instructors who spend most of their day on a hard court simply feeding balls.
Comments: Shoes are very comfortable and play extremely well. The problem is the mess rips where it is connected to the other materials. This happened within the first few months of wear and has progressed to where the shoes are unusable!
Comments: These are extremely light and well-ventilated shoes. They make you feel fast.
Inadequate stiffness for hard courts but a nice speed shoe for har-tru and omni grass. The
shoe has a nice roomy toe box and tight heel, but is a little narrow in the vamp. As a result, I
started developing a callus on the inside of my right foot. Still, if it happens to fit you well,
you will like the feel of this shoe.
Comments: Have been using these shoes for the past few months now. Light and very comfortable. I think they provide good support for lightweight shoes. I put a ton of stress and torque on shoes and these have held up wear. They do get dirty quite easily, but I just throw them in the washing machine on delicate. I would recommend them to someone who wants a lightweight, durable tennis shoe with decent support.
Comments: STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHOES.
They are comfortable to put on and wear, but don't even think of playing tennis with them... I teach tennis on hard courts and was looking for a pair to replace the cushioning of my Nike Air Smash, which I can no longer find. (Must be discontinued). And was told to try these... they do not seem to have any support when you twist to change direction. The middle of my right foot started to ache on day 1. But since I'd already made the investment, I thought if I put a pair of orthotics, it might be better. So on day 2, when hitting with a woman, who was moving me around, I twisted my left foot...whomever wrote earlier saying he had sensitive feet and these were good shoes, does not know how to describe these...I cannot recommend anything because I am still looking, but these are only worth walking with, certainly not playing tennis with.
Comments: I bought these shoes for my son. We received them on 4/5/10 which was his first day of High school tennis practice. He went to put them in his bag today and realized the material on the inside of the shoe where the ball of your foot bends has worn a hole through on both shoes. Both of my boys are tennis players and have always worn Wilson shoes, and we have never had a shoe tear apart before. These shoes are not durable at all and we are replacing them ASAP.
Comments: If you have sensitive feet (I do) and do not care what you pay for shoes (unfortunately, I do on this point as well) then these shoes rock. They have the support needed, but wear like well-padded slippers. Due to multiple reconstructive surgeries on my foot due to a MX accident, I have at least 6 different pairs of shoes, from the Open IIs from Wilson, the Nike Breathes (2 diff pair), to Barricade V, to T22 (which I also like) to even wearing running shoes, these shoes are by far the most comfortable shoes I have. All other shoes tend to make the bottoms of my feet sore -as if there is no cushioning, and quick acceleration in other shoes feels labored. Not with these. I do not expect these to last very long due to how light and comfortable they are, but like I said, if you can afford it, give them a shot.
Comments: I think these shoes are great. Just got rid of a pair of Nike Ballistec 1.3's. The plastic on that shoe just weighed it down. These are a huge relief. Lightweight feel like a running shoe. Plenty of support. Haven't had a problem on the dirt yet. They don't smell (yet) and I didn't get tendinitis. But I'm in good shape and wash regularly so who knows. Make sure you know how your foot pronates when you run/during your match. Do your homework. Get the shoe that fits your foot.
Comments: These lightweight, extremely comfortable shoes are a pleasure to play with. There is one major problem, in Summer or Winter they give off a strange odor, I sent one pair back to Wilson and they replaced them. The second pair gives off the same odor and my entire closet smells from it. I best would describe it like a cat urinated in them. I have 16 pair of sneakers and never has one had a strange odor like these. I do not have a cat and everyone I ask smells the Wilson shoes. I wash constantly, tried baking soda, powder, nothing gets rid of the odor from this defective product. I am going to Wilson again and I suspect they will not be happy or thing something is wrong with me. They need to REMOVE these from the market of fix the problem.
Comments: NOT Recommended. Very light and initially comfortable, but no support on hard or soft courts. Inadequate heel cushioning. I developed bilateral Achilles tendonitis with these shoes. After having gotten better with different shoes, I accidentally wore the Tour Spins again and had an immediate flare-up of the tendonitis. They are now serving as expensive house slippers.
