Comments: I bought the BLX Federer 25" junior racquet for my 8yr old son (a promising junior player) mid 2011. We were both looking forward to receiving it as it was his first composite frame. However, I was very disappointed with both the strung weight and the racquet balance. The racquet weighs a hefty 9oz and the balance is 10pts HH! Feeling the racquet balance myself as an ITN 3.0, it does feel very odd and although he is now used to playing with it he does struggle with controlling touch/drop shots and volleys. Obviously at 10pts HH he gets great plough-through when he times his forehand but that's not really compensation enough for the sacrifice to the rest of his game. I am disappointed that Wilson produce a 25" junior frame that is so heavy and oddly balanced. I do wonder if it is a function of them using the same frame mold for the larger versions of this racquet and just shortening the beam. I hope they upgrade this design in their new 2012 range otherwise we will be looking at the other manufacturers next time when he upgrades to a 26" frame.
