Comments: I suffered for 2 years with tennis elbow. This is the first racquet that plays like a tour version but with no pain at all. Racquet is excellent as well, good control/power ratio!
Comments: Very maneuverable but also stable with a crisp, clean feel. Generates good spin - both topspin and slice. But I like it most at net and for doubles. But on ground strokes, I had to adjust a bit because the throat seems stiffer than other Yonexes. Overall, a very nice
racket.
Comments: I have been tired of playing with heavy racquets and therefore was looking for more power. I demoed this one on comfort set-up. Soon I decided to buy it and bought 3 of them. All 3 strung with Black Code 16g. I was impressed with how easy this racquet was to play, how maneuverable and friendly it was. I am playing against heavy hitters and this rackets was very solid and I noticed a really good stability, maybe because of its sweet spot. On serves it shines, on volleys (which I use a lot) it was solid and I am better at this technique now, since it moves from A to B really fast, my 2 handed is very consistent and my forehand I can do just anything I want. If you know how to use it, this is a great racquet, much better than the Pure drives and Aero Pro drive ones out there. It is very interesting this option of 2 patterns for stringing.
Thanks Yonex, I just became your customer leaving once and for all Wilson.
Comments: This is a decent racquet. It supplies unbelievable pop on the serve. However, on groundstrokes, I had a lot of trouble generating the kind of topspin I'm used to on my current racquet, and therefore my forehand was pretty inconsistent. Good power level, and nice and maneuverable. The racquet doesn't feel as head light as other people have said, and as such I thought volleys were decent.
Comments: This racquet is head light to the extreme, great for serve but no plow through on ground strokes. Very unstable. I traded it back in after one match. In my experience, a much better racquet is the Wilson blx open.
Comments:
I played with the Babolat APD for the last three years. My only problem was generating racquet head speed with my one handed backhand. I tried the Kobra tour briefly. Not a bad stick. But I didn't like the flexibility and lost dept on my forehand. But with the lower swing weight my backhand did improve. I was excited when I saw this racquet. Same weight as the APD but a 315 mm balance point vs a 320 mm balance point. For me it was noticeable. This racquet is easy to generate racquet head speed. I got great dept on my groundies, good pop on my serve, and very maneuverable at net. The only negative is that it doesn't have a lot of pop on volleys because there isn't much weight towards the top of the frame, but you can't have everything. I am a teaching pro and have tried almost 20 racquets that have come through my shop over the last two years. For me the S-fit 1 300g fits my game the best out of all of them. It's not for a grinder, but if you hit a lot of spin and play an attacking style give this racquet a shot.
Comments:
Before posting a negative on what looks to be a very nice racquet, you need to go by manufactures recommended string tension. Loc from Australia enjoyed the racquet as he strung to the guide lines. Anon- You don't get power stringing as you did @ 63lbs. I am sure if you lower the tension you would be impressed!
Comments: Very nice & maneuverable racquet, excellent in volley & smash, easy to access spin. A bit powerful for serving much try hit with more spin to control the serve in. Overall, highly recommended racquet for double players.
