Comments: I agree with the comments of 11/10 post. I've been hitting with the ozone 7 for several years now and have been very happy with it. But all of a sudden my racquet starting hitting like a brick! I had it restrung and still the same problem. I had it restrung again, lower to compensate for the poor hitting and very cold winter we've had. The racquet hit a little better but not much. Already 10 below recommended tension, my stringer is baffled. I'm glad I saw 11/10 post. I know it's not me but my racquet! I am now looking at Prince EXO3 Gold and Blue, both hit great.
Comments:Is this racquet scheduled to be playtested?
Comments: I've been back playing for 2 years after taking 25 years off. I've tried a few racquets, but wasn't really happy with any of them. My pro was using this racquet and let me demo it. I liked it so much that I bought 2 of them. My previous racquet of choice was the K-Surge. The Ozone 7 is a definite upgrade for me. My ability to place my serves and add pace to them has improved. I've hit more aces in the past month than I had the entire year. On volleys I have a nice touch with this stick. My groundstrokes have become more consistent, albeit with slightly less power than the K-Surge. But the forgiveness makes up for it. My go-to shots of short cross-court angled forehands and slice bh's up the line are both still there. Plus I am getting more consistent depth.
Comments: Be Careful. Several other reviews mentioned its stiffness and hand injuries.
I bought this stick 2 years ago and it felt like a frying pan. I lost all power. My baseline power shots kept dying on the racquet head. I couldn't find the sweet spot. I put it on the shelf for two years and just played with it last week. My wrist hurt the next morning and has been injured for a week. I just got it restrung at 45 lbs. Tested it today hoping it would improve. Still feels awful. No power. I'm so upset since I've never encountered such a problem. I've never had an injury from playing tennis.
Comments: I don't know how, but this racquet improved my game from the first match. (I'd been playing with a Wilson K Surge.) My opponent said my serves were harder. My shots felt smoother and had more power. Even my form improved and my elbow didn't hurt as much. Trust Hantuchova to pick out such a great racquet.
Comments: This is the best racquet I've ever owned. I've had my racquet for over two years and it's hard to give it up. Along with my other racquets, this one is by far my favorite. Every shot is smooth and powerful. There isn't anything I could complain about!
Comments: This is the best racquet ever played with. Power, control, touch and feel, spin all are there just nice for an intermediate player like me. Don't have to worry about not getting over the net or sail long, every shot is just nice. Thank you Prince for this product. But please take note, if playing with synthetic guts, is better to take off the shock absorber.
Comments: An AMAZING racket. I have really good control, power, and impact on my groundstrokes and serve. I highly recommend this racket to anyone who wants these things I've mentioned.
Comments: Excellent racquet. Very nice control (of course depending on your string tension) good pop up on the serves. It feels comfortable. I really enjoyed this racquet, forehands and backhands always accurate!!
Comments: This stick is like heaven. I've played with Wilson k factor rackets and they don't even compare anywhere near this racquet. It has made my game 10 times better now.
Comments: Been using this stick for about 2 years now and still find it
very good ans so easy to play with. As I have improved it started to
feel a bit light so beefed it up with 6 inches lead tape at each side of
the head and 10 inches at the top of the handle, still very easy to
swing fast but with greater stability and more solid feel. If you think
that you may have outgrown the racket give the lead a try, cheaper than
buying a new racket!
Comments: This racket is like heaven to play with. It is a perfect all
round racket and I prefer it to my Babolat Pure Drive GT, which is a bit
too heavy for me only being 13.
Comments: This racquet is pretty freaking sweet. Prince did a good job on the engineering a more complex but yet aerodynamic racket. With a light weight (yet still heaver than hyper-carbon) metal alloy frame, this racquet will have you pounding balls with medium power and great grip/spin. I thoroughly enjoy playing with my Ozone 7. I have won many matches with my serve, which also happens to be with the upper sweet spot of the racquet which is superior with power. If your a great tennis player, I would definitely recommend this racquet to all medium to high level players.
Comments: This racquet rocks! I demoed it along with 3 other models. After hitting with it for 3 days, I placed an order to buy. My groundstroke goes deep with reliable topspin. Serve and volley came easy in no time. The 16 x 19 string pattern is very wide and hence has very high spin potential. I am not a fan of extra long racquets but the 27.25 didn't bother me at all. The only small dislike is its stiffness. It helps me get better accuracy but I would like it to be slightly softer. I think this is a good racquet for long smooth strokes. I can confidently stay in a long rally and trust the racquet will do the job.
Comments: This is a great all-around stick that seems to do everything well when in the right hands. It is light and maneuverable. I felt more confident in the fluid one-handed backhand with pace it helps me to produce, and it is sweet at the net when dropping a volley or smashing an overhead. It is also good at serving, although if anything, I just wished it gave off just a bit more sound when really pelting the ball. It seems muffled at times and I can't always tell if the serve was as solid since the sound is different from what I feel. Overall, though, it is still good because it travels faster in the air and I can generate more racquet head speed because of the O-Ports. As for the forehand, it is stable and predictable, which also enables me to be more daring and confident on forehands down the line and deep into the corners. I paired mine with Tecnifibre Red Code 16 gauge at 58 pounds, and it is plush and solid with lots of control. I will continue using this stick instead of my Head Flexpoint.
Comments: I'm going to review this racquet tennis-warehouse style. Let me introduce a little about myself, first. I'm a righty, and I have a semi-western grip on my forehand; my two-handed backhand is more versatile and powerful than my forehand, but not as consistent. I have a fairly long swing style, although I am what some would classify "a counter-puncher"; I also play a good deal of doubles.
Comments:Played two months with this racket and feel that it is a really good stick with awesome power and control for my compact strokes. My return and groundstrokes have never been better. Being an all-court player, emphasis on doubles, I have been giddy with excitement on hitting volleys as I feel I dominate with pace and precision. My shoe-lace volleys also tend to go over with ease. Serves have been a little more difficult to fine tune, as the stiffer racket tends to shoot them long by a few inches on a regular basis and also has the tendency to throw the ball in the same area, thus hitting spots are not has easy as one would hope. Although I tend to get some good power and slice out wide winners. Second serves tend to have little kick, which sets up the returner more than I want, but do not double-fault much. The only real challenge that I have with this racket is the down the line slices or straight-ahead drop shots, which used to be my bread and butter with previous rackets, both of which tend to sail or go in the net. Finesse is not as good compared with flex rackets, but have noticed that I get a lot of stretch and angle volleys in. Sometimes skidders have been a little tough to negotiate as normal groundstrokes can easily overpower the shot. This is the most stable racket I have ever hit with with a very large sweet spot and plan to stick with it for a while. Moving from the 100 si to 105 si racket has helped a lot with my consistency.
Comments: I had a Volkl dnx 8, great racquet, but when I tried the Prince Ozone Seven, I felt very comfortable with it. At serving I can get a good pop. At the base line you can feel the sweet spot and it drives right where you want it, and at the net, beautiful. I bought two of them last year and I gave one to my nephew, and I just bought two more for me.
Comments: This racquet is amazing for all shots, generates good spin, has good control and power. If you are looking for a racquet with a ton of power look elsewhere, or if you are looking for a racquet with very little power and lots of control, do the same. However, if you are looking for a racquet with a perfect balance between the two, demo this racquet soon!
Comments: I had a DNX v1 prior to this racquet. I bought the Ozone 7 because I used to love the old Prince Thunderstick racquet. First day out, I really wanted to love this racquet. Right away you can notice the large sweet spot. It takes a day of playing to figure out that although it's a good racquet, it just feels like it's missing something. The large sweet spot is great, but feels inaccurate. The large sweet spot almost feels like you put a board on the front of the racquet. Yes it will go back no matter what part of the frame hits the ball, but where it goes, is a bit less understood. I'd recommend this for someone who has a long swing but needs the racquet to generate power. For me, I'm going back to the DNX V1.
Comments: I've been playing since Oct 2007. My game has improved tremendously. I've been looking at other rackets but this racket performs so well I've purchased another one. I am very consistent with this racket. I started as a baseline hitter, now I'm starting to come to the net and I find my volleys to be consistent as well. At this time, I am working on improving my ball placement. Overall, I feel this is an excellent racket.
Comments: Nice racket, my shots were more powerful. Volleys were excellent, and serves have much power and spin. Although I do think this racket has a BIT too much power, but I can live with it. I recommend this racket if you're looking for a racket that you can improve with.
Comments: All I have to say is I hope I can find someone to by my Dunlop Aerogel 600. No, seriously, I demo'd this racquet today and fell in love. Excellent spin just enough power to keep me going into a long match as I begin to tire.
Comments: I tried this racquet on a whim and I am very glad I did. I was using the Prince O3 Hybrid Comp, but it just lacked something. The feel and comfort were amazing. I am getting so much more power and spin with this stick. My serves have gone up in power and accuracy. Put away shots are effortless as well. I have found that the strung weights are 10.4 ounces and usually five points head light. These sticks can be easily modified with some lead tape. I have my strung racquets boosted to 10.8 ounces and most come in at six points head light. The swing is sweet and the accuracy is there. This is a great stick to try out for the 50+ crowd. It is so easy to swing.
Comments: Overall, I used this racquet as more of a transition racquet into more heavier hitting and advanced strokes/shots. I enjoyed the ample power and groundstroking with this racquet, but I found that it is not as stable as said. If going for put-away shots or aggressive cuts, shots seem to fly long. For my serve, it seemed to have held back on power and spin. I overall did like this racquet, but found it overpowering for me as I have grown stronger physically. I believe that this racquet is for someone who needs that extra power, and can't always supply their own. Maybe someone around the 3.0-4.0 NTRP rating. The thing I liked most about this racquet was solid, crisp, fun volleying--especially in doubles. Service returns were also noticeably great, I really liked that part of the game--which also makes up for the good serving power it lacks.
Comments: After 5 years of tennis training during the school, I decided to pick up tennis again. I started playing tennis again during the last 10 months with my first racket, an old Pro Kennex. After playing for 4-6 hours per week I bought a new racket, the Prince Ozone Seven. The first impressions were not that good. The racket felt tampered, I couldn't feel much from my hits but it seemed to have a good control. After 7 months of playing, the strings broke and changed them with Prince synthetic gut. I don't know what people did to my racket, but it has changed to worse! Most of hits are either high or too deep. In order to hit just above the net as I like to play, I have to make a small swing and not power at all! If I had the opportunity I would change it with something else.
Comments: My previous experience includes the Wilson pro staff 6.1 and lately, the Wilson ncode n4. The first one hurts a lot, really heavy. It fells like I had to hit a huge punch so that the ball could get some power. The second one, gave me power, however, I lost control. So far, Ozone Seven seems to give me power and the control I didn't get in the other two previous rackets I have.
It seems I made a good choice.
Comments: I felt this is very control-oriented on serves and overheads. Groundstrokes were very fun to play with. At net I occasionally lost confidence because it was a little unforgiving, and feel is decent. Touch shots are fun, but somewhat difficult to execute. Sometimes during long rallies there was often enough room leftover for some mis-hits, which I found a bit irritating. Overall, I am thinking about switching to Jelena Jankovic's new racquet. I think this racquet best suits play to any average baseline-lover who would love to wield a nice light racquet.
Comments: I've used this racquet for about a year now, and I found that it provides lots of excellent power, when taking a full swing. But I think for me now it's a little too overpowered on most of my shots, so if you're looking for more power and nice placement, try this one for sure--especially if you're a baseliner like me.
Comments: Wow.... This racquet is really amazing. I have been using it since last summer as a backup racquet to my Prince Speedport Red. Not only have I switched, but I also have decided to buy more. This racquet helps a lot with all of my groundstrokes; it adds power and control. The only bad thing about this racquet is it break strings easily, for me at least.
Comments: Bought this racket as back up to my 03 red but play with this one all the time. Has a much more solid feel and inspires confidence on the control and direction of the shot. Seems hard to mis-hit with this racket and has really helped increase my racket head speed and attack shots that I would have before blocked back. The extra racket head speed has really helped in gaining those cross-court angles. I think that this is a racket that you can continue to use as your game develops without having to change up. Also a very comfortable racket that still provides feel for the ball. Highly recommended.
Comments: I just purchased this racquet a month ago. I have come to the conclusion that although this stick does have its advantages, particularly added pop on the serve, the head lacks adequate weight to produce any power on groundstrokes. You sometimes even feel as if the racquet has more control over the power of shot than your swing-path itself, which can be frustrating, particularly on the higher balls. This causes balls to fly long, and I prefer manufacturing my own pace rather than a giant sweetspot assisting me. Still, these gripes shouldn't put you off buying the Ozone Seven; it suits many players just fine. It all comes down to personal preference, and I do still like this racquet overall. 7/10
Comments: I've not played for about 6 months due to a detached hamstring. Today, while traveling on business, a buddy invited me to his club to knock a few balls around. Not having my racquets with me (Wilson ProStaff 6.1 - just can't put them down), his club pro recommended I try the Prince Ozone Seven. After bouncing the first two balls of the distant wall, I quickly adjusted my timing and found myself in love. The power, control and feel of this stick are great. No vibration whatsoever. My serve was strong and precise (much more zip than with my ProStaff - and I serve hard to begin with - and great kick and placement when desired). I highly recommend this racquet and will quickly purchase a couple for myself.
Comments: This racquet is OK! It's not the best, but it keeps my balls in the court and that's pretty much all it does. I hit really hard and fast, but the Ozone 7 is not helping my game at all. I'm not saying that it's a bad choice to pick this one. I'm just saying the this is not for my type of playing, and it hurts my hand a lot.
Comments: I've played with it only a couple of times, and I'm not diggin' it. It feels like I have to swing my arm off to get the speed, depth and accuracy that I previously had with my Prince O3 Hybrid Shark. It's not a baseliner's racquet and there's no room for error. I had trouble getting the power and accuracy for passing shots and wide angles. It was fine for overheads. Volleys and serves were soft but in. It feels heavy and hurts my hand. I used the recommended string and tension first then restrung with Lightning XX, which was somewhat better but still not feeling it! Maybe it will grow on me.
Comments: This was my second Prince racquet, and so amazing! It added something to my previously mediocre backhand, and also to my lethal forehand! I would also recommend this racquet for anyone who wants to improve the speed and precision of serves and volleys.
Comments: I love the Ozone Seven. It gives all my shots and extra pop. Serves are much faster, and I love the lightweight.
Comments: I have only used this racquet once, and so far I really like it. It does take a little getting used to, however. I hit relatively flat, with just a little topspin, and I found that this racquet provides great pop and pace for my shots on both wings. Before, I had a pretty solid forehand, passable backhand, atrocious volleys, and a slow, but consistent, serve. Just from my first time I can feel my forehand and backhand improving so that they are now on more of the same level. No matter how hard i hit them they seem to land in, leading my tennis partner to complain "Stop hitting them so deep!" My volleys are much more consistent and my serve definitely has more power and is definitely easier to place. I highly recommend this racquet to players who are looking for improvement on their backhands and serves.
Comments: I really don't like it for now. I have had the Ozone Seven for 2 weeks and it's not very comfortable; it hurt my hand. I found it very hard to hit overheads, and on low balls it often twists in hand. The serves have speed, but I have trouble with placing it on target, maybe because it's little longer than my previous racquet. But it's good for forehand -- not very precise but ok. Best thing with these racquets for me is the feel on volleys. Generally my grade of these racquets is 6 out of 10.
Comments: Months of researching and testing, and I found the Seven. Wow, what a game changer! Previously used a Prince Graphite Series 90 for 15 years and loved it. The Seven improves control, pace and comfort. Noticed in every stroke the improved technology that reduces stress on my middle-aged body!
The length allows me more range and the power/stability allows me to return accurately shots I never handled before. Thought I was going to buy a Prince O3 White, but the Seven is better on every shot.
Comments: Wonderful! My shots are so much more explosive since I bought this stick back in July. It's light and has good spin capabilities. I play singles 2 and doubles 1 on my Jr. Team and this racquet gave me a good amount of victories. Highly recommended.
Comments: I demoed this racquet today and fell in love with it. My serve improved, with more consistency and direction. I found that this racquet allows you to take the ball earlier and return the ball with interest. Some of the angles I was getting on my backhand were incredible, and an added bonus, was that it added an extra bit of pace to my big weapon, my forehand. A great racquet and would thoroughly recommend!
Comments: I really enjoyed playing with this racquet! It feels comfortable yet able to rip through anything. The serves are almost always accurate and perfect in power and control. The backhands are a weapon! And it does seem to just reflect tennis balls while at net. Everyone should try it!
Comments: This racquet is amazing. I'm demoing it from a local tennis shop and I love it. It gives so much power, and it is nice and light. Usually pros use heavier racquets but quite a few pros use this one, so it must be a great racquet. I would definitely get this as my next racquet.
Comments: This new Prince is a different racket. After I played with it the first couple of times I didn't like it. Then I gave it another try and it grew on me! It has such a soft feel and giant sweet spot that now I can't put it down. It is very easy to swing and easy on the arm. Has very good power and is a dream to serve with. I would tell anyone who has a medium swing to take a look at this racket, you won't be disappointed.
Comments: Excellent stick. Nice control and pop on the serves. A good tweener racquet, several people on my team hit it and all liked it. Even though I am buying a Volkl DNX4, I would recommend this stick.
Comments: This racquet is amazing!! It totally improved my game and gave my backhand much more power, control, and consistency. This racquet is explosive when serving and a must have for anyone looking into switching over to prince~!
