Comments: I was xtremely disappointed by these shoes. I have been wearing pretty much
only Barricades since the IV's but decided to give these shoes a try since they were
relatively inexpensive, light weight and have a 6 month warranty. When I got them they
seemed cheaply made but they were light. First day of trying them and I noticed that
while they are light, they sacrifice cushion and stability. They were tough on my feet
and the sides of the shoes were not supported enough and allowed too much
movement for me. I changed the insoles to a pair out of a set of barricades and the
cushion was slightly better. The biggest problem for me was the wear. I play close to an
average of 4 hours and day and move hard. I play on clay and hard courts and so I do
tend to slide a bit on hard courts. During the second day I burned a hole through the
side of the left shoe during a match and ended up ruining a pair of socks and leaving
some skin on the court. There was no extra protection on the sides like most Adidas
and Nike shoes have. I ended up covering the hole with tape but luckily the outsoles
were junk so I went through the bottom in another 4 days. I Didn't even get a week out of
these shoes.
Comments: Thin sole padding makes front of your feet feel the ground; not comfortable at all. I put in another
insole to give more cushion, but my feet still feel the hard court. Worst padding I ever had.
Comments: Ok, admittedly I'm still in first impression territory, but these shoes feel narrow, 'thin' in construction
and uncomfortable both above and below the foot. The uppers seem stiff and inflexible, while the underfoot area is thin, and
hard, offering very little support it seems to me. I have put my own orthotic gel inserts into the shoes in an effort to avoid injuries.
I am a fan of Prince shoes generally but really don't like the first impression of these at all.
Comments: I have Fred Flintstone feet (wide and high arches) and these are the most comfortable tennis shoes I've
worn. I admit I bought them because I liked the way they looked, but I'll buy more because of the weight, comfort and speed of
the shoe.
Comments: I first want to say that I am very rough on tennis shoes. I completely wear out a pair in 2-3 months.
However, these shoes have held up extremely well and are in no way shape or form even beginning to show signs of wear. Even
after 6 months of having them and playing in them 3-4 times a week. I highly recommend them to everyone!
Comments: As an NCAA athlete I would like to say these are the best shoes I have ever worn! Great price! Do take
some time to break in but very comfortable!
Comments: Shoe is decent looking, comfortable, and nice and light. While I have wide feet I found these shoes to
be too wide in the heel for me. They are roomier then the Rebels. Problem is that my heel would step out of shoe as I was
running after a shot. Had to lace them up really tight to avoid this issue. However, this is not going to work if the shoe stretches.
Possibly thicker socks will help. Don't like this option though. Hopefully will be less of problem if soles break in a bit. Not a bad
shoe, but be warned that they are definitely wide so suitable for some folks. Folks with narrow feet should definitely look
elsewhere for shoes.
Comments: I have used prince shoes before and never been impressed. But after I tried these I was pleasantly
surprised. These shoes have an awkward feel but are great. It does take a while to get used to the shoe I would definitely
recommend it. It also looks a lot better in real-life. Overall, I believe these are great shoes and would buy them again.
Comments: At first I didn't like this shoe. I came from wearing Barricade Vs and T22s, which are heavier, but comfy.
I'm a teaching pro, college coach, and still play tournaments here and there, so cushion and durability is key. I think Prince gave
up some cushion to drop the weight. It's definitely faster than my previous shoes. It fits more like a soccer shoe - streamlined
from heel to toe. It took a couple of days to get use to the smaller toebox. The Renegade has great traction, though, and we'll see
how durable it is. If you have a wide foot, I'd stay away. But I'm pleased after two weeks in them.
