Comments: I tried them on at a local store, and they felt narrow in the forefoot--toes did not have enough room width-wise. Does the upper material stretch after wearing them a few times? If not, what other nikes do you recommend which have a wider forefoot?

(The Breathe Free II is more generous in the forefoot. -- TW)
Comments: Because I wear a size 14-15 shoe, weight is something I usually don't worry about because all of my shoes are heavy. Not these. They are the lightest and most comfortable shoes I have ever used. I previously used the Nike Breathe Free shoes, and those were good, but would wear out quickly. I play 6-7 hours a day 5 days a week (during the sumer, which is now) and these shoes haven't given out on me yet. They have a perfectly snug fit and are very breathable. I love these shoes and will most likely use them until Nike comes out with a new one in this line. Not to mention that they are very stylish, if your worried about that.

Comments: These shoes are great. They fit true to size and are light on the court. These shoes were broken in within the first hour of playing. I'm loving the heat block technology.

Comments: These shoes were OK I've been wearing them for about a month, and they have started to slip and slide on the court. Also, I've never had this problem before, they started to stink. Maybe it's the Heatblock technology or lack of ventilation. Other than that, these shoes were very comfortable, and had a quick break-in period.

Comments: I've been wearing Adidas Barricades for the last 3 years, but decided I'd give these shoes a try. They are very comfortable and light; however, after the first 10 minutes, I twisted my ankle. I do not recommend these shoes for players who supinate or have wide feet. I think I'll go back to Barricades.

Comments: These shoes are very comfortable as soon as you put them on; they may feel heavy when you are holding them but they definitely feel light when you are wearing them.

Comments: I have worn the Vapor Speed, Vapor 3, Vapor IV, and now the Vapor V. My experience has been that the Vapor IV was a monumental improvement from the previous models, and the Vapor V is an improvement on the IV. This shoe is light but supportive and is very well cushioned. I found it to fit true to size. Great overall shoe.

Comments: I have this shoe and and am excited of its good looks and functional design.
Unfortunately I found problems. Left side of the sole shape of left shoe is different from the right shoe. The little toe side of the sole has negative V shape compared with right shoe, which is flat and smooth. Does anyone else have an asymmetric left and right shoes? I believe this is faulty manufacturing.

Comments: These are great. Those who feel these are stiff are not using any standard that makes sense. These shoes weigh 14.5 ounces yet offer comfort, support and stability and are great looking. I do agree that unlike most Nike shoes these run about a half size large. I wear a 10 1/2 usually, but a 10 was perfect in these. Great shoe.

Comments: The Vapor V is a step down from the previous model. I was a big fan of the IV, but these shoes lack the cushion, support and comfort of their predecessor. The new model is stiffer out of the box and digs into my heel. I develop severe foot pain after playing in these. I plan to buy several pairs of the IVs and hold and hope that Nike improves.

Comments: Very comfortable shoe. The only thing I don't like is the outsoles. They squeak and slide on hard courts, when you don't want to.

Comments: I tried a lot of this year's new models (Cage II, Barricade V, and most of last year's models too) and found that Nike has been the best this year, with this and the Cage II. These and the Cage II were about even for me, with this having a little more traction and just like they say, that low-to-the-ground feel, but I picked the Cage because they had the 6-month guarantee, and they were more comfortable, which is a plus if you're going to be walking around in your tennis shoes after you play. I'm thinking these probably are not very durable, as my Cages have already worn out before I would have expected. However, these are tremendous shoes; you definitely should try them on because they are awesome!

Comments: Incredible shoes. I was using the Asics Gel Challenger (very good shoes btw) before I switched to the Vapor V. The Vapor V fit perfectly right out of the box with no break-in time needed. The stability is great and it feels very light on the feet. I felt my movement around the court was noticeably better after playing in these. You won't move like Federer (no one can) but you'll feel like you can! Finally, the look and design of the Vapor V is just beautiful. The pics don't really do justice until you actually see them in person. Such a classy looking shoe.

Comments: Really good shoe. Good: Really form fitting, shaped to my foot after about two weeks play, pretty durable no tares yet. Bad: I felt that it was kind of heavy shoe, I think I would have rather bought the Air Rafa's

Comments: These are great shoes. My feet feel low and stable, and I get great traction. They're very comfortable right out of the box and still comfortable a month later. Some say "snug," but I think "form-fitting" is a better description. Back on TW.com today to pick up another pair.

Comments: This shoe does not feel stiff as some previous comments mention. To my surprise I broke them in in first hour of play, but I have to say they do not fit to size as the description says. I have to wear two pairs of socks with size 10, when my normal size is 10.5. What really impressed me right of the bat is how well these shoes respond to lateral movements. If you run down the ball this shoes stay so low to the ground and provide such an excellent side traction, that you will get into position without sacrificing the balance. This shoe squeaks more than any other shoe I have worn, but this is my first Nike, so perhaps it is normal for this brand. If you’re used to wearing higher riding shoes before that allowed you to gain more clearance of the net, you will have to adjust for these ones. But for excellent balance and classy appearance look no further!

Comments: I think in terms of the traction it is the exact same thing I bought a year ago. I'm sticking with the Babolat Propulse.

Comments: I have worn these shoes for more than 15 hours. They are so stiff. They are still not broken in. I twisted my knee in them during a tournament. In another tournament, I twisted my ankle. These expensive shoes are going into the Dumpster.

Comments: I am very picky when it comes to shoes; however, these are a fantastic pair. The Vapor IVs felt awful on my feet and the Air Breathes felt like I was walking with heels. It came down to the Vapor V and the Asics Gel Resolution. I picked the Vapors and haven't looked back since. If you are in the market for a new pair give these and the Asics a go.

Comments: Continuing upon the vapor heritage, Nike’s zoom vapor v introduces a much better overall fit. I found that the shoe no longer fits smaller or narrower, and does not require any break in. Your feet will feel the same from the first time you wear these to the last, as the new heat block tech really prevents your feet from swelling in them. A very low to ground feel and a great shoe for anyone looking for more stability and speed in their game.

Comments: Very comfortable shoes right out of the box. No break in necessary. Snug around the midsole & roomy in the toe box, which I like. Good ventilation.
