Comments: These were made for the general public as Nike widened the toe bed. Also, the shoe runs 1/2 size big. The shoe is much softer than previous versions. As a result of there is very little lateral support. Once major reason why Roger Federer still uses the VI...arguably one of the most supportive and fastest tennis shoes Nike has ever made. They took one major step backward with this version.
Comments: I highly doubt these are the actual shoes Federer plays with. I can't believe the lack of traction these shoes have. Quick stops and pivots (on hard courts) made me slip all the time. Not to mention the durability is pathetic. I would much rather pay 120 dollars for shoes that are 16-17oz rather than 120 for some lightweight pieces of.
Comments: I put them on last Thursday and am sending them back after 4 days of just teaching due to a split on the outside. I did not even play one set of doubles to blow these out. Same thing happened with my black ones AND the Swoosh began peeling off.
Comments: Nice cushioning, super soft upper, cool interior, beyond light, and decent traction.
Comments: Wore it twice on the courts now. As others have reported, there is no arch support, and lateral support is weak at best. I thought I was going to love the extra room in the toe box as my foot is usually pretty cramped in other shoes. Turns out it is too much space and my foot is sliding around in there. I would not get these shoes again.
Comments: Purchased this shoe 2 weeks ago. In less than 2 weeks the upper has pulled away from the sole and the blue coloring has scraped off shoe on the inner side of the shoe and sole. All this after one weekend tournament and about 10 hours of practice. I'm very disappointing for $120 pair of Nike shoes. Luckily, spoke to tennis warehouse and they said to send them back and they will replace with another pair(unfortunately I had thrown out packing slip with postage paid return so I had to pay $11 to return the shoes). I am hoping these were just a defective pair but I am not holding my breath. Hopefully the next pair will make it longer then 2 weeks. If not then no more Nike vapors for me.
Comments: I am a competitive player who played international (ITF) events as a junior. I agree totally with Robert. It's like trying to walk on water! No lateral support at all. Total lack of stability. If you have problematic knees like I do, forget this shoe. These shoes are a massive step backward from the Vapor VIs, which are worlds better than this poor update. I'm also in the same boat as robert as I don't know what shoes to use now. The Ballistec 2.3 is too narrow in the toe area for me. I'm actually feeling betrayed by Nike right now.

Comments: These are not shoes for playing aggressive tennis; these are shoes for putting down and avoiding. They are nice shoes for walking about; very comfortable. However, they have zero lateral support. No break-in, no kidding, because they are so soft. I am irritated that once again I am in the cycle of having to find new shoes because the manufacturer arbitrarily decided to change things. I have loved the Federer Vapor series for years as they were the perfect tennis shoe for me. These shoes are COMPLETELY different from the previous Vapor shoes. They say Roger uses these but how could he change from the earlier version to this one is beyond me. The older ones had arch support, these ones don't. The older ones were nicely snug around the toe and forefoot, these ones are too open. I think it is a crime how much they are charging for this shoe.
Comments: I totally agree with Jarrod : zero lateral support. Sooner or later, your ankle will ask for pity. There will be many achilles heel problems and a painful heel. I am discouraged not to be able to any more find the Vapor VI shoes. Now that was a tennis shoe! For arch support, try the Superfeet blue insoles, it works great which increased the fluidity of my footwork.
Comments: Excellent shoe. Although it does say no break-in, I felt one for about maybe 4 hours- which is impressively short. Very comfortable, it have superb feel for your shoe. Quite surprisingly durable as well; I have worn it for a month and I play tennis at least 3 hours a day for my high school varsity team and the shoes do not show very much use. Its traction is one of the most things I liked about this shoe; when in defensive and running from side to side I hold and did not let me slip like me previous shoe did and give me a bruise. Overall, nice shoe, but doubts about if it is really worth $120...
Comments: Great Shoe, very light, great flexibility, no arch (well that's a standard for Nike shoes anyway - flat bottom), great for me because I have flat feet. They cut a little wider than the VI's thank god. All-around a great disposable tennis shoe. It didn't last me that long, but it's ok it's a vapor. They don't last long unlike my CB 2.3's; those things are tanks. I give the shoe a 4/5.
Comments: These shoes look cool, are very light, but have zero lateral support and zero arch support. They have given me blisters every time I've set foot on a tennis court with them. My other shoes are Adidas a3 Prevail and they are WAY better. I would not buy these again.
Comments: BEST VAPORS YET!!! These shoes are like pillows on my feet I only use them for match shoes and I can tell a HUGE difference in agility and speed. My feet is a little wider than others so they are the perfect fit for me.
Comments: Just got these a couple of days ago and was wearing them around the house. They have no arch support whatsoever compared to the Adidas Barricades and Head Speed Pros, both of which I own. I got them because of their lightness, But cannot use them at all without arch support. You need good arch support or your feet will hurt and you could develop Plantar fasciitis! Also they don't breath at all! The Barricades are good but I recommend the Head Speed Pro..they have a little bit more cushion..which is good so you don't develop shin splints!
Comments: Way, way better than the Vapor VI! Comfort is back to what it was with the amazing Vapor Vs. Although, so far, the movement isn't quite as effortless. I had to buy a half size smaller (noticeably more comfortable), as the forefoot definitely has more room. I'm wearing the Black/Red colorway currently. I think they look cool by themselves, but silly on the court. I'll be wearing the White/Black ones next to remedy the "silly" situation.
Comments: This is a very good looking shoe. On court, it feels okay but sometimes the side of my foot felt large amounts of pain. It also wore out in about 2 months. Overall its a 7/10.
Comments: I've been a long time Adidas person. I have worn every edition of the Barricades (I even have a customized mi-adidas pair of 5's). Nike's just never seemed to fit me, but I figured I would give these a try after reading a couple of reviews. The worst thing is that if they weren't good for tennis they are at least stylish enough for casual wear. Man I can say I am impressed! These things not only look great, they fit well (true to size) and they perform great on the court. I know it's psychological, but I feel faster on the court! And hey, over half the battle on the court is psych! Get them you won't regret it.
Comments: Really good shoes, slight break in required for me. The shoe was the best of all the tennis shoes so far (Nike Breathe Cage 2, Tirand, Babolat All Court 4). When the shoe was done breaking in, I was moving the shoe up and down, I guess doubling up socks wouldn't be a bad idea.
Comments: Top is definitely softer than the Vapor VI, depending on what you like this may be good or bad for you. Contrary to other opinions, to me, the width at the forefoot is similar to the VI. The insoles on both the Lunarlite and the VI are EXACTLY the same (except different colors), that should tell you something. However, it feels "roomier" at the front, not wider. The fit is true to size. I would NOT recommend getting a size smaller, because I wore 10.5 in both shoes and they fit perfectly. If you buy a size smaller you run the risk of getting a
smaller length which could squish your toes. If you feel that it's too
roomy, I would recommend doubling up on socks, it'll be nice and snug.
Comments: Jerry is right. Although, you should get the same size as you normally wear. Also, as Rick said, the shoe has a lot of movement and is very very "roomy" in the toe area. These are very comfortable shoes and are padded, but are leaner for more low to ground feel on the court. They run true to size and have awesome colors.
Comments: The Lunarlite Vapors are the best yet. I've been using them for about two weeks and they are magnificent. They were ready for play right out of the box with no break in required at all. These aren't quite as breathable as the Vapor V's, but still decent. The Lunarlite foam and inside of the shoe is really soft and they are extremely comfortable on the court. I usually wear a size 9 and they fit true to size for me. They don't seem to be the most durable shoe, but if you're willing to overlook that the shoe is great.
Comments: RE: Sizing, They do NOT run big! Just measure your foot with socks on to get the right size! Just trace your foot on a piece of paper and then measure it from toe to heel, very easy! They are soft and light and feel just right. The adidas Barricades have way more stability and feel. But if you want to look like Federer..then get these I suppose.
Comments: I ordered a pair of these shoes looking to find a lighter shoe. In that respect I found the correct shoe. Taking the advice of other customers feedback, I ordered a half size smaller. I have a medium width foot; the shoes are extremely comfortable and light however, tonight as I warmed up for a match, it became apparent that even with the lases as tight as they could be pulled, the shoe allowed too much movement. Unless you have a wide foot, I would not recommend this shoe. Other comments about the shoe running large are absolutely correct order a half to full size smaller.
Comments: This is a great pair of shoes! They are extremely comfortable with great traction, but enough give to slide a little. Super light. However, they, like all Nikes, were down extremely fast.
Comments: I saw these shoes surfin on T- Warehouse and they looked awesome. Turns out I got them for my birthday. They were great, better than I thought they would be. They are really light!!!
Comments: I have had these shoes for couple of weeks now and I thought they were great. However, in 3 weeks time, the shoes on the side started to rip. I play in a tennis team playing around 2 hours a day. The soles of the shoes seems to wear out too. Although these are great shoes, if you are looking for a better durability you should get something else.
Comments: Considering the price tag on these shoes, I kind of went out on a limb when I made the purchase. About 12 hours of court play later, I'm very satisfied with my choice. It's not too often these days that you can find a shoe that looks great and also performs like you want it to. These new vapors do just that.
Comments: These shoes are spectacular. NIKE killed it with these shoes. The look itself is amazing. Awesome design, they are extremely light and feel very comfortable on your feet. I found excellent traction on hard court. Only gripe is that I would get a half size smaller. But they are extremely comfortable and look sweet definitely worth the money!
Comments: I have somewhat wide feet and haven't been able to wear Nike shoes for years as all of their decent shoes are too narrow. I got my new Vapor Tour yesterday and wore them last night and felt like I was in heaven. Felt perfect out of the box, and amazingly light yet stable and they look great! They are pricey so I do hope that they last.
Comments:These are not true to size! Buy half size smaller if you had the previous
vapors. These are bit more "slippery" on the hard courts and allow you to slide on
hard stops. It took me a week to get used to it but I think it's much easier on my
knees. It feels soft, maybe too soft. My heels feel bit of pain after 2 wks. Front toe
area is bit wider and I need to wear 2 socks to keep my toes from moving. Had to cut
out a blister due to the shoes. If you're 4.0 or lower, older, don't run around much this
shoe is very comfy and nice. Otherwise I like the previous generation, more support,
better traction, and they are on sale now!
Comments: Great shoes! NIKE did a great job with these. I have the previous one and its also a great shoe but these ones are even better. They have a very good design, the best ever for me, and lightweight.I just hope its durable cause there really expensive.
Comments: These shoes are extremely comfortable. I also thought the previous Vapors were just as comfy. So nothing spectacular. The only downside would be the durability of the heel sole, it seems like it wears down quicker than the previous Vapor shoes' sole.
Comments: These Shoes are amazing. They are so comfortable, I can feel the difference when I put my normal shoes on after playing in the Lunarlites.
Comments: I only had 130 dollars and wondering if these shoes were actually worth it. When I first bought the shoes it looked wonderful. Then when I first put my foot in and started walking; it felt like walking on pillows! I cannot believe how amazing this shoes are. It is worth the money trust me. Don't worry if the shoe is a little to big. I would get half a size bigger than you would get. Don't worry you wont crease them.
