Customer feedback
Comments: I've been using these shoes for the last 3 years and they are great. Great feel and comfort. I really like the uni-tongue feature of the shoe. It allows for a snug comfortable fit. And they breath very well. I hope this shoe continues to be offered in the future, as I am looking forward to my next pair.
Comments: I've been a fan of the Barricades for about 2 years and just found my new favorite shoe. Everything on this shoe is above Barricade standards especially with its cushion and ventilation. The only minor complaint I had when I wanted to tighten my shoe was the Nike logo would poke into the side of my foot. Besides that it was the best buy I ever made. Overall 10/10
Comments: Great shoe. Very light. This is my second pair. The first pair wore quite well
and lasted for 1 year playing 3 times weekly. The only issue I found was lack of stability particularly, if you are a hard runner.
Comments: Easily to be the most comfortable, ventilated and best fitting shoes I have worn to date. I fit wide on shoes and this one gives it a snug comfy fit which I believe to be the result of the construction and materials used. Unlike other reviewers, the absence of the tongue is a big plus to me when it comes to fitting and comfort. Getting in the shoe makes it effortless too.
The only concern I've had with the shoe is it's new tread pattern. The pattern seemed to be more inclined to softer surfaces such as clay and may prove true as I have slipped maybe 3 or 4 times in the first two sets playing on a fast city park hard courts.
Bottom line is... even with the unusual slipping during it's initial use, it's snug yet very comfortable fit and great ventilation did not deter me from getting the shoe. I still manage to grab 2 more pairs of these (after playing 5 sets with them) for $45 a pair in a local Nike outlet store.
Comments: I am a competitive high school player, who bought these shoes after our team made the decision to make them somewhat our team shoes. Originally I thought they were quality shoes and look pretty awesome. My opinion changed pretty quickly because of how fast they have worn out. I play about 5 days out of the week for an hour to hour and a half and after roughly 3 months they are already wearing through on the front big toe corner. Although I do often times wear through shoes fast as I am on my toes a lot and run hard on them this is one the fastest wear outs I have had. Also the shoes do not have a detached tongue which is somewhat weird and makes for an odd poof in the material at the base of your foot/toes. One of my shoe laces has broken in half and the other is nearing this.. Slightly ashamed of the quality but its still a good shoe. The worst part is that I was somewhat excited to see that it came with a 6 month sole guaranty, however it voids the front toe area where my shoes wore out.
Comments: They really hold up, and I played a really hard match and my feet didn't hurt after I played. It felt really good and my feet can breathe in these shoes unlike the other shoes that I had. I would recommend them.
Comments: I switched my shoes with these Nike Max Breath Cage Free 2, and they feel really great and I would buy the shoes if you can they are so awesome really light weight and my feet can really breath in them is feels amazing. BUY THEM FOR REAL.
Comments: As you can see almost all these comments are good. Well that must mean something. I have been using these shoes for about 3 weeks now. They're amazing. Very comfortable and very light weight. The traction is not the best, but is still better then most other shoes. These shoes will probably last me another 2 years.
Comments: I bought these shoes and played with them twice already. They feel great, and they are very breathable. The cushioning is pretty good, and the support is very high. They are also very light, which is nice. I also have mid-wide feet, and these don't feel tight at all. I would definitely recommend this shoe.
Comments: These are great shoes, probably the gut string of footwear: serious comfort, feel, response, and playability. There might be better options to get through long, consecutive days of training/matches. They fit like a glove while accommodating bigger feet (used to wear New Balance to get 2E). Great feel: flexible with a thin sole but keeping decent support (arch and ankle) and good cushion. I played with them until the insoles were visible while searching for a replacement black/white/reds. There could be better colors than all-white or green/white, but I am going back. Air Vapors are too narrow, Breathe Cage are stiffer and high-heeled.
Comments: Shoes were great for the 1st month but not as durable as I wanted but very little break in overall Great Shoes just don't slide on hard court surfaces or they will only last about 4 months.
Comments: Great overall shoe, lightweight, and very cushioned. Favorite all time shoe.
Comments: I just bought a pair of these and I'm glad I did. Well, first of all, I got them for $20 because of the 6 month warranty, and I upgraded to these from the Prince MC4. I like these shoes so much more. I find that they are extremely comfortable, extremely breathable, and have great support. They also don't look half bad. I'm not sure how quick they wear out, considering I have only had them for about a week. I would definitely recommend these shoes, especially with the 6 month warranty.
Comments: Awesome sneakers! It's breathable, light weight and cheap. I received it today and I used to have problems covering the the court, but after I played with these I didn't have problems sprinting to the net and I was just ripping the ball.
Comments: This shoe is great. It's comfortable and fits well. The down side is that I have had this shoe for two weeks and the soles are starting to tear.
Comments: Besides the week-long break in period and average traction, I have no complaints about these shoes. The unconventional tread pattern leaves something to be desired, and the durability is only a little above average; but besides that I have no complaints about these shoes. After all, they have a warranty.
Comments: This shoe was exceptionally comfortable, I really liked the sock like fit. The only problem with it was that it didn't last very long. I drag my toe when I step on a volley, and I wore 2 big holes on the shoes and had to get new ones.
Comments: The shoes are really comfortable, and a lot of stability with a neat design. But after 3 weeks they are coming apart around the top of the shoe. Other than that I would recommend the shoe.
Comments: These are the most comfortable shoe ever and look cool. They play super for about 1 month or 2 and then they wear out quickly. Thank God for the 6 months warranty. I play 2-3 times a week and 4.0 player. 6' 185 lbs. My suggestion is buy them, wear them out and get a free pair.
Comments: These shoes are excellent. They could use a little more cushioning but the traction, durability, and ventilation are great. These shoes do require about 4 hours of break-in, however, until they feel good, but the six-month warranty is the cherry on top and made these a great buy. I'm a junior who plays about 8 1/2 hours a week in the heat and these shoes held up for about 3 1/2 months. I definitely plan on getting another pair of these.
Comments: First impression. Perfect shoes. They form to my feet, the arch fits so perfectly that I don't even notice that it's there. Traction is top notch, I love the uni-tongue thing. They're amazingly breathable. Nike, keep producing this amazing, lightweight, comfortable shoe!!!
Comments: This shoe is great. I am a high level player and they are really comfortable except they wear out really fast but I think the shoes are really good to get.
Comments: The shoe holds the heel firmly but not too firm. Little bit of room for the toe area. Feels like wearing socks, well almost.
Comments: I did not like these shoes for a few reasons. First, there is no tongue, which I did not like at all. Second, the insole in the shoe wore a hole in it very quickly. Finally, the shoes made me feel 3 feet taller. I was much higher off the ground which is very awkward while playing tennis.
Comments: Great shoes on soft surfaces in terms of stability and comfort, but after less than 2 months of playing, all on clay surface, both shoes split at mid-section. Luckily, PGA Superstore replaced them on the spot. I wonder if this model is defective as other customers have reported this issue.
Comments: I've worn these shoes for a year:
Comments: Great shoe made for people with low arches. Toe draggers, don't expect them to last longer than 3 months just like the Barricade 4's or 3's. It comes with a 6 month guarantee, though! Great shoe!! I would definitely recommend these shoes or the Adidas Barricade 4's!
Comments: These sneakers are decent for the first two weeks. They are comfortable. But the sole does not last long. Also they squeak. Depending how many times a week you play, they will begin to squeak within two weeks. I prefer the adidas a3 Accelerator.
Comments: I tried on many tennis shoes, but these felt far and away the best, comfortable and light. They have a low collar so the side of the shoe does not rub on the bottom part of my ankle like my Barricade IVs did. I played in a two-day tennis tournament with these shoes right out of the box and had no problems. You cannot beat the comfort of these shoes!
Comments: Great shoe, I put them on and was sold immediately, they were so comfortable and light. Perfect. But I ran through them so fast. I didn't want to get rid of them, but they were gone in about 3 months. Didn't last me very long
Comments: The best compliment I can give is that I never think about these shoes when I am playing. You put them on and forget about them.
Comments: I love the fit, feel and on court performance. Unfortunately the soles split between the middle section and the heel after not that much hard use. (I play mostly on clay courts.) It's a really a weird issue, but I've seen this several times in the comments so it looks like a design or manufacturing flaw.
Comments: This is possibly the best shoe I have ever owned. To give you an idea, I ran six miles a day in them for a few months because I preferred them over my running shoes. They are that good!
Comments: I love these shoes, and I agree with all these comments. However, the biggest downside for me is that these shoes don't have enough arch support. I had been wearing the Nike Air Vapor IV. Those shoes are great, a little heavier, but the arch support is much better. If I can find a way to improve the arch support, I'll gladly get another pair of these shoes.
Comments: I bought these sneakers about six months ago. These are the best fitting sneakers I've ever bought. I was hoping to make these sneakers last by only wearing them indoors. My play mostly consisted of doubles once or twice a week. On one sneaker a hole is starting to form on the pivot area of the sole. I guess to make these sneakers' light weight affected the construction of the outsoles. The trade off is very comfortable performance shoe that doesn't last a very long time. My previous sneaker was New Balance, which was not as comfortable and didn't perform as well as the Nike, but it easily lasted 10 to 12 months of abusive play and wearing them every day.
Comments: These are very comfortable and no break-in shoes. I am trying these after using Babolat Team III version. These seem very light and very comfortable. The Babolats needed some break-in time, which caused few blisters. These, though, were really comfortable. However, the ankle support on Babolat was slightly better than these. Cushoning is almost same on both. However, Nike might feel slightly better on overall effect due to the mesh support on top. I've been using these for few weeks and need to see how long they last.
Comments: These shoes are very comfortable, but their durability is weak. I wear through the soles quick. The soles also split between the middle section and the heel. I have looked at friend's pair and they did not even notice that they had the same issue with the splitting soles. I have had a number of pairs due to their comfort and my feet love them. Nike has also been nice enough to provide a few replacement pairs. I just wish Nike would invest in making them last!
Comments: Best shoes I've ever worn. I have had Reeboks, Wilsons, and Adidas Barricades, and these were the best. I have some trouble putting them on but once that's over. They are the best. The bottom is wearing out a little on the toes, but I've had them for 2 months already. I wish they would last forever.
Comments: I've been using these shoes for about a month I play for about 15-25 hours a week and the soles are still as good as new there is a little wearing but not much at all. Great Shoes!! Very comfortable and stable. A+++
Comments: The 1st week I had these shoes they made my feet feel awful! I couldn't play 30 minutes without my feet feeling as if knives were stabbing them! After about a week of break through the feel amazing! Most comfortable tennis shoes I’ve ever worn...and they have a 6-month warranty! It’s been about 3 weeks and they are already showing pretty good ware in the toe region...but I mean I’m a high-schooler enjoying summer playing up to 8 hours a day sometimes (lots of all day camps)
Comments: This shoe is amazing. I was in a crunch because I had blown out my last pair of shoes and the new product I bought was tearing my feet up. I ordered the shoes from TW on Wednesday night hoping they would arrive by Friday for the weekend tournament. The shoes got there in time and I was able to put them on and hit the court at full speed. These are the most comfortable tennis shoes I have ever worn. I stepped onto the court and played at full speed instantly. The shoes required ZERO break in! I play singles and have had them for 2 months. I haven't noticed any significant wear on the soles yet. Highly recommended.
Comments: I have worn these for only a couple of practices. Having had a surgery on the right knee, I find that cushioning is extremely important for me, even though previously I preferred the low to the ground feel (still do actually). The feel and the fit were nice, but I experienced some pain in my knee after playing on hard courts. On clay I had a better experience. Overall a decent shoe (although I can't comment on durability), but I returned them as I find my Yonex SHT 305s to be the same weight, feel and fit while providing considerably more cushioning and not experiencing any pain.
Comments: These shoes are very cheap! The first pair I ordered the heel broke the first month I wore them. I sent them back and ordered a second pair thinking I may have got a bad pair. The second pair broke in the exact same place on both of the shoes. I would highly recommend trying a different shoe such as the Adidas Barricades.
Comments: I got these shoes for my high school season. After about two or three matches the heel of the shoe began to tear off. The shoes are comfortable, but their durability is not good at all. I expected to put a hole in the toe, not for the heel to tear off, especially after only a few matches. I am not sure I even want to send them in to get a new pair because they will just break easily again.
Comments: Have had two pair and I play 4-5 times a week at competitive 4.0. Pros: One of the best shoes ever, light, airy and fit like a glove! Don't make you think about
you’re feet when you are in a competitive match.
Again, very light. Cons: Completely went through the drag toe of the first pair in three months, but did get a replacement from Nike, but not for the same shoe.
Need to shoe horn on with a high arch, but that is why they feel great on.
Comments: I got these shoes about two months ago because of their looks and comfort level. I had previously had other Nikes before and these rank about the same. They were very good. One knock on these is their durability and I agree, they aren’t very durable. The outsole has worn out very fast, but not to worry because of their 6 month DRC sole. I usually play 4-5 times a week for about 2 hours at a time, so it could just be me I do tend to shred trough these shoes you could say. Overall these shoes are very nice and Nike has been very giving to give so many free pairs of shoes out because they are very easy to wear out. I am also very anxious to try the new Nike cage. The only thing I wonder is why they have the Air Max in the back, you're not on your heels while playing tennis.
Comments: I was wearing New Balance 820 shoes and after playing for an hour or more my feet up to my knees was sore for 2 or 3 days after. I was hesitant to order Nikes because they wear through fast. I decided to purchase the Breathe Free II because of the 6 month sole warranty. I couldn't believe how comfortable these shoes are. They fit like a glove and are well ventilated. Wearing dri-fit socks helps as well. My legs are no longer sore at all even playing up to 2 hours at a time. The padding throughout the shoe is far above the padding in the NB 820. I am 35 years old and play 2-3 times a week now. I can't believe the difference. The shoes do wear through quickly and you will get a replacement but if you are like me and don't want sore legs these are the shoes for you.
Comments: THIS SHOE ROCKS!!!!! I've used the for 10 months and they have just started to wear out. they're light, comfortable, and durable and look AWESOME! I 100% recommend these shoes to anyone.
Comments: Great design, great support, great durability. Fantastic shoes with plenty of traction and comfort.
Comments: I have had these shoes for over 3 months now and they are still holding up. Great comfort, but if you have just played a hard match, your feet start to hurt. Overall, great durability.
Comments: I play competitive tennis and these shoes feel really comfortable. There is excellent toe cushioning and you can move swiftly around the court like a bird. Best grades to this superb shoe!!!
Comments: This is a great all-around tennis shoe that combines the best attributes of a running shoe (speed, cushioning, light weight, breathability) with those of a tennis shoe (stable, durable sole and supportive). For a while, I played with the New Balance CT 1001's, but found that these were not as mobile and gave me a mild case of plantars foot pain. The Nike Max Breathe Free II are better all around.
Comments: These shoes were great...stylish, light weight, comfortable, stable and all in all a very snug fit. The only downside of the shoe was the sole durability. I drag my feet a fair amount but after a month or so the sole had worn completely.
Comments: Simply the best all round shoe I've EVER had and I've tried a lot. I've had Achilles Tendonitis for years, sometimes so painful I couldn't even touch my heel, now I seem to be able to play 3-4 times a week at the top of my game, pain free. These shoes ROCK!
Comments: I'm still looking for the perfect shoe, but this comes pretty close for me. I feel like it provides good cushion and support, but without the movement restriction I feel from New Balance shoes. My biggest surprise has been the soles. It sounds like the big complaint has been they wear out too fast, but mine still look good after 4 months and I'm 6'3 215 and play 4 times a week.
Comments: This shoe is absolutely amazing. They have a great feel once broken in which takes no time. They are also cool on your feet. I’ll never buy a different shoe.
Comments: Awesome shoe, excellent cushion. Stability is excellent but the down side is the durability. These shoes had a hole in them in less than 2 weeks. Otherwise it is a excellent shoe.
Comments: Replaced my New Balance 1001 with the Nike Max Breathe Free II due to poor tread wear. These shoes felt comfortable immediately and fit my wide foot nicely. I also had a mild case of Plantars, which disappeared almost immediately after playing with these shoes. They are light, cushiony and supportive. I feel I am much more balanced and stable,
and able to maneuver more quickly around the court. With the New Balance I felt like was much slower like I was almost playing in
mud. The only criticism I have about the Breathe Free is the permanent bladder. With my wide foot, it gave the illusion that the
shoe runs narrow but quite the contrary. Once you maneuver your wide foot past the opening (shoe horn required) you’re home
free and I can also wear my nice cushiony Thorlo coolmax hiking socks. Give these a ride if you're into comfort and performance!
Comments: These shoes are awesome! My feet are somewhat wide at the toes and I tried on a lot of the current
Nike shoes (Vapor 3 and Breathe Free III). Out of the 3 shoes, these fit the best. They are ready to play out of the box and don't
require any break in time.
Comments: In the past 3 years I have tried Reebok Figjam DMX, Nike Air Max Breathe Free II, Adidas Barricade III,
Reebok Match Day Pump and now I'm using Barricade IV. All of them are great shoes, but the Breathe Free II are the best.
Stability, comfort, durability, low weight, this shoe has them all!! You can't go wrong with this shoe.
Comments: Great shoe that is comfortable, flexible, and provides great movement. I stocked up on these shoes,
as I can't imagine anything better being available anytime soon. I play tennis approximately 6-10 hours a week and they shoes
have lasted about 7 months.
Comments: The shoe is a great shoe overall. Comfortable, lightweight and also a good
modernized look. I am an elite player who plays every day and within like 5 weeks there were holes forming
and the heel was about to fall off. I probably will not buy another pair of these again but only because they just
don't seem right for tennis every day.
Comments: I have always been a hardcore Adidas fan but friends told me to get these shoes and
tried them out they are very comfortable and I love the uni-tongue fit. I just can’t get enough of these shoes
durability. Excellent balance, traction and breathability I give these shoes a ten out of ten.
Comments: I usually do not buy Nike shoes due to the durability factor, but my friend who is die
hard Nike everything got me to buy them. And man was I impressed! I've had these for two weeks now and
there is no sign of wear on the soles (playing everyday of course). But reading the other peoples comments
made me worry because I bought my pair at a Nike warehouse. I'm waiting to see how mine last and then I will
buy a new pair of the black and greens. Overall, this is a great breathable shoe
Comments: What more can you say about shoes with 4.6 TW rating. Everything is perfect with
these shoes. I had knee problems about playing with barricade II for 2 years (they don't have good cushioning)
and switched to different shoes (Reebok pumps, head, yonex) but BF II help my knee big time. Now I am
playing with confidence knowing my knee will be in good condition next day.
Comments: These shoes are good looking, light and comfortable. I play about five times a week,
two hours per session and they wore out in four and a half months. Overall I would recommend this shoe.
Comments: These shoes are great they are comfortable and lightweight. The only bad thing is that
they wear out quickly. Other than that a great shoe!
Comments: These shoes are amazing. The sole lasted me 1 month. I am a competitive tennis
player and I play 3 hours a day. The inside is most comfortable and that is what I care about. If you play
nationals I highly recommend these shoes to well played junior tennis players.
Comments: I can't begin to describe how amazing these shoes are. I'm a diehard Air Zoom Vapor
Speed fan, and I still would have to say those are my favorite shoes ever in comfort, fit, performance, etc. But at
15.5 oz and with a 6-month durability guarantee, these are hard to pass up. I'm using these as my off-season
shoe, and I'm simply amazed at Nike's quality. I used the original Resolves 2 years ago in high school and
found those too clunky, so I switched to the Vapor Speeds the next year, which I was very happy with, but since
I‚m now off-season, no shoe fits the bill better. I'd say these shoes are about .5% worse for me than the Vapors,
but with a 6 month guarantee (which with my style of play guarantees me 2 pairs for the price of one) I can't
imagine why I didn't get these first. They do have a break in period, BE WARNED! The first day my feet hurt a
lot. The second time I played in them (literally second time ever using the shoes) I was moving like Nadal (or so
I tell myself). But seriously, these are perhaps the most amazing shoes I have come across because of their
ability to strike a balance between light weight performance shoes, its basically like having the durability of
kevlar with the playability of gut (for string geeks out there). Amazing job Nike! I'm on my second pair of Nike
Breath Free IIs and they are by far my favorite shoes I HAVE EVER WORN. My only complaint is they are
expensive.
Comments: Great shoe, I have a Nike foot and wear Nike for all sports. I always try other brands,
but nothing fits me like a Nike. Well cushioned, traction, support, etc., but what I really like is that it felt like part
of my foot, in other words, it felt like I wasn't wearing a shoe at all. The downside is they don't last. After four
months the air bubble blew, but they were covered under the guarantee, but since they weren’t sold anymore I
took the AirZooms. Nike feels the best on my foot, even if they won't last.
Comments: These shoes are extremely comfortable and light. The only problem was I wore the
soles out in TWO MONTHS. At least I got a free pair from the 6 month warranty.
Comments: These are some of the most comfortable court shoes I have ever had. Straight out of
the box comfort. The tongueless design is a perfect part of a near perfect shoe. The way the shoe grips your
foot adds to court confidence and mobility. Not to mention - no blisters!
Comments: These shoes are the best I've had in years. It literally has NO BREAK-IN PERIOD.
Wonderful cushioning, stability, flexibility & traction. It's also very light-weight. I don't get blisters because the
forefoot width is a tad wider than normal. It's a perfect match for me. It may be a bit pricey, but I consider my
shoes as an investment for my feet. (My feet are wide at the forefoot for its size and my ankles are small)

Comments: My son thought these were comfortable and stylish; however, after just two months of
play the soles have worn completely thin around the toes and ball of foot.

Comments: These shoes look sick (a good thing). I was very reluctant to change
from my two year usage of Nike Air Resolves, but a week of playing with these babies proved
the BF's are better. Lighter, better fit, look great...did I mention lighter?. The only down side is
the durability. They don't quite last as long as the resolves, but their comfort and style more
than make up for this. Super comfortable and light.
Comments: I have had these shoes for about 3 days and they have holes in
them all around my
heels. These shoes were the biggest hunk of junk I have ever bought. As soon as I put my
feet in them they felt
like piranhas were biting me.The only good thing about them was that they were
flammable.
Comments: These shoes are good, comfortable and fit well. I've been wearing
the Air Resolve for about 8 months. They are decent shoes but in the light of Breathe Free II,
they are no comparison! The breathe free II is plain lighter. The cushion is good with some
replacement insoles replacing the original one. I personally use "superfeet" which I think is a
very good product. I always did that with my tennis shoes otherwise I'll have bad back
soreness after play for more than 3~4 hours. Also I enjoy the tongueless design. It made the
shoe sort of wrapping around your foot so that there'll be minimum movement inside of the
shoe. This design could cause some overheat in summer time if the court surface is warm
like what we have in Florida. But right now it's ok. These just made me feels that little bit
faster when I do serve and volley. I don't know the new BF3 can surpass these. Also, they
really looked good!
Comments: Great looking, great comfort. When these shoes are new they are a
dream but the sole wears down quick. I've had these shoes for 4 months and the top still
looks new but the soles under the balls of my feet are completely bald and the air bubble
has popped. In conclusion, great while they last but don't expect to get more than 6 months
tops.
Comments: 8 Months! I think I am the only one here to post a review after having
these so long. BUBBLE INTACT!!! I keep reading about how everyone's bubble popped. At
first I thought, "they must be fat", but that's not right... I'm 190Lb. anyway. My new theory is
that these people are treating their shoes like Running shoes. THESE ARE NOT RUNNING
SHOES... THESE ARE TENNIS SHOES. That was my revelation after reading these. What's
the difference? Well, unless you are pushed defensively into the back court and you are
sprinting to chase a ball down... you won't really be putting all your weight on the heels of the
shoe. If you're doing your split step and have good footwork, then you won't ever break out
into a full stride on the court. You only see the pros do it when they are in a bind or playing
defensively. The purpose of this posting isn't to say you all suck and have bad footwork. It's
to say "USE THESE SHOES FOR PLAYING TENNIS" and "USE RUNNING SHOES FOR
RUNNING". Typically running shoes have more heel cushioning or heel reinforcement
because you are constantly landing on your heels in full stride. More cushioning also places
your foot higher off the ground and makes for a horrible shoe when it comes to quick
directional shifts (like when playing tennis). I have an uber cheap pair of new balance
running shoes and then I am ordering a pair of vapors after these. After 8 months the tread
is finally bare under the ball of my big toe on both shoes and not my heel-- I must be doing
something right.
Comments: I love Nikes in general because of comfort out of the box. Main
problem is that they wear out in a month. Shoes that last long tend to be heavier or stiffer
from other brands (Wilson, Head). These have a 6 month guarantee yet are still light, quick
and comfortable. They start to wear out in a month of 3X week tennis and get completely
trashed within 3-4 months. BUT they're guaranteed so you get a second pair which
effectively makes the price $55.
This worked fine for my first 2 pairs (4 pairs after guarantee replacement). Now, though,
NIKE doesn't have anything other than size 11.5 and 13 so they give a niketown.com email
certificate for $128. Not bad, but the pickin's are slim from the website (not 1/10th of what
Tennis Warehouse has in NIKE brand stuff alone). This seems weird that TW would have
Ten times more NIKE stuff than NIKE does. The phone rep said that is common that
specialty retailers get the majority of specialty products and that NIKEtown won't carry the
same stuff.
Bottom line, great shoes but your replacement pair will be something else (they do have the
Breathe IIIs and vapors, so I guess I'll get one of them as replacement)
Comments: This shoe is a lot like Federer: well rounded, able to do everything
well, and smooth while doing it. The Breathe Free II's are the best tennis shoes I've ever
owned. I've always had difficulty finding a shoe that didn't blister the heck out of my toes,
which naturally arch upward and usually rub the top of the shoe. With these I never had that
issue. They provide the best weight/support/cushion trifecta of any shoe I've worn, without
feeling too bulky. The only draw backs are traction and durability. I slipped several times
while running wide to hit a slice backhand, hurting my achilles in the exact same spot both
times. Expect to get about 3 months of solid play before wear is an issue.
Besides the traction issue, a very good all-around shoe.
Comments: These shoes are great. No break-in period at all. Great support all
around, and fit true
to size (unlike some Nike shoes).
I found the no tongue thing very comfortable - no more adjusting.
Because they are one piece (no tongue) it does make it a little more difficult to get your foot
into.
Comments: These shoes are superb. They are very comfortable and light! They
add to my speed
when chasing
every ball in the court.
Comments: These shoes have saved my toes! I was using the Prince T10,
which is also a great
shoe, but apparently
not right for my feet. I was developing turf toe with them, and was wrapping my big digits up
like mummies
before hitting the
court. A friend prodded me to get these shoes, and I owe him big time! Not only have they
completely alleviated
my toe issue, but
they're light, maneuverable and stable. I honestly don't care how fast they wear out if they're
keeping my feet
safe. Good stuff all
around!
Comments: These shoes are great! They are comfortable, lightweight, and look
good. The only downside to them is the durability. I have gone through 3 pairs of these in
less than 5 or 6 months. I'm a toe dragger and one pair of Nike Air Max Breathe II shoes last
me about 5 weeks or less. Although they wear out quickly, I still recommend these shoes.
Comments: They are a great shoe. Fairly light so you move fast when you
must, the traction is excellent for stopping and turning on a dime. As well, your feet stay
DRY!! The design is smart because it really lets your feet breathe and stay cool. My sole did
crack at the side 6 months in, very small though and Nike replaced them for free without
question. Cushioning is fantastic has prevented further achilles heel injuries...trust me it
hurts if you don't have heel cushioning. Another surprise is the ample amount ot toe box
space allowing you to even go down half a size for a really snug and light fit. No shoe is
perfect but this one comes pretty close.
Comments: These have great comfort and support, but the soles wore down
very quickly. Other than that, they
were great shoes and I highly recommend them.
Comments: I'm on my second pair of Nike Breathe Free IIs, and they are by far my
favorite shoes I HAVE EVER WORN.
My only complaint is they are expensive.
Comments: These shoes have been a lifesaver. Before using these, I wore
Wilson shoes, and I got a stress fracture
in my foot. I am a highly competitive junior (5.5-6.0) and the injury I sustained cost me four
months of recovery. But, just as I
was trying to come back, these shoes came onto the market (Spring 2004?). And since then
I have worn absolutely no other shoes
on the court, I am on my 8th pair and I have not had a single problem with my feet at all. The
durability is horrible, but I could
not care less, the most important thing is that I am able to continue to pound away on the
court day in and day out, with
knowledge that I will not hurt my feet. I have bought 18 reserve pairs of these shoes, so that
when they are discontinued I will be
able to continue wearing them!
Comments: They are good but the upper is kind of odd to me. Also normal size
is tight for me. Apart from that
they are very good on cushioning and weight. I will stick with my Adidas Barricade II.
Comments: These shoes simply don't have enough support, and the no tongue
thing is simply uncomfortable. The
light weight makes you run faster, but these shoes hurt my feet and I'll never buy another pair
of these. I only bought them
because Nadal was wearing them. If you're a serious player who does a lot of footwork, you
need something tougher, like the Adidas Barricades.
Comments: These shoes are amazing, great durability, comfort and fit. I found
them very breathable, and my feet do not get hot at all in these shoes. The biggest and best
thing about these shoes is the durability. They have not worn down a bit since I've had them.
I am not a toe dragger, which is probably why they have not worn down that much. The whole
white with black sole looks awesome! I would recommend these to ANYONE!!!! Great work,
Nike!!!
Comments: This shoe is great! It is very breathable and the most comfortable
shoe I have ever worn. I would buy
this again next time I get shoes, but they are not durable at all! I have worn these for a week
and they are almost worn down on
the edge. I expect in the next 2 months they will be completely worn down.
Comments: The cushioning and comfort is great. But the sole ran out in 5 weeks
for me.
