Prince M Series MV4 Black Men's Shoes Customer feedback
Comments: This shoe has a pressure point that hurts your feet. I usually buy prince shoes, but this one poorly made.
Comments: Overall a very good shoe for the price. I have a narrow, flat foot and these fit well right out of the box. I purchased the black/silver version of the shoe which had the Goodyear outsoles and they lasted through almost three fourths of a season of high school tennis, which is very good for me. But, when I sent them in for replacement, I got the white/red version, which did not have the Goodyear outsole. I was thoroughly disappointed with this particular version, which only lasted two months. So all in all, a very good shoe that I recommend if you get any of the versions with the Goodyear outsoles.
Comments: It was no good in the beginning but when you wore them it they feel good; the lacing string is short though.
Comments: Had these shoes for a month and they wore down to foam on the inside of the right foot and I don't drag my feet. Very comfortable, but didn't last as long as I expected a Prince shoe to last... Good thing they have the durability guarantee.
Comments: Great shoes for the price. The last eye hole bothered me at first and wore a sore on my ankle. After loosening the laces this problem was gone. Durability could be better as mine are wearing after a month and a half.
Comments: The shoe is great, very comfortable. I was so happy with it in the first 2 months but after that the outsole is gone.
Comments: These MV4's are a very high quality product with great ventilation. I have previously played in the Prince T10's, which I really liked a lot but I did have a big problem with a lack of ventilation on that shoe, which led to the worst odor I have ever had in a tennis shoe. That is the only reason I left the T10's. The MV4's do fit a little narrower than the T10's and they do have a firmer feel that the T10's, but I am very satisfied with them.
Comments: It’s a good shoe, the durability on the toe was surprisingly good for toe dragging. Outsole durability was also outstanding as I am just now getting down to the foam after owning these shoes for a little over a year. However, I did have an issue. There is a break-in period. They are very uncomfortable until they are broken in, though once broken-in, they are a dream.
Comments: Best shoe ever. Already wore them for a week and I'm winning a lot of my matches while my feet feel great. I'm never going away from Prince shoes, they are undoubtedly the best.
Comments: I just bought the shoes and tried them today. They felt uncomfortable at first, but they feel awesome after you were them for a few days. It is uncomfortable at the last eye hole for the laces, but you get used to it.
Comments: I ordered these shoes because of the price. I tend to go through shoes in about 4-5 months. These shoes are so painful to wear. If you have semi-wide feet, they will start to hurt over the duration of a tennis match. The pain will come from the outside of the pinky toe and the inside of the top knuckle of the large toe. This is because there are strips of plastic that go from the bottom of the shoe to the first pair of eye holes for the shoe laces. When I ordered these shoes I didn't see a wide shoe version, maybe if I would have ordered the wide shoes I wouldn't have experienced this foot pain. Next time I will just dish out the money and stick with Adidas Barricades.
Comments: This is probably the best overall shoe I have ever worn. I have already worn two pairs and am planning to get a third one soon. The sole does wear out in about 4 months but that's where the warranty comes in. Prince takes great care of its customers and makes sure that you get out new shoes as fast as possible.
Comments: This shoe comes in a wide version. This is by far the best shoe I've ever worn.
Comments: While I cannot comment about this shoes durability (just purchased) I can say that it is the most comfortable shoe I have worn on the court. My feet usually hurt after about two hours of drills wearing my Wilsons. I spent five hours on the court today and I have no pain.
Comments: Great ventilation, poor durability. 1 month and almost worn through. 4.5 player, playing 3-4 times per week. I don't think I got my money's worth, unless Prince lets me return twice.
Comments: After many years of playing with Mid Cut Prince Tennis Shoes, I got the Prince M Series MV4. I am 6.3 feet tall and my weight is 210 pounds; I am a 4.0 player. I found this shoe to be pretty stable, but as not as good as my previous mid cut Prince shoes. I have also noticed that the insole is not as soft as the ones found in previous Prince models. In summary, I don't recommend this shoe for tall players who like to move all around the court. They are not that comfortable, and my feet move too much inside the shoes.
Comments: These shoes are fantastic. They are especially good to have if you are a toe dragger like me. They breathe very easily, and they are very comfortable.
Comments: These are great looking and feeling shoes. I love Prince shoes, and I do not wear anything else, but I wore a hole in these faster than ever. I am sending them back for the guarantee.
Comments: This shoe is amazing! I just switched to this shoe and am a tournament player and play every day. The shoes are lightweight and have awesome traction. These are recommended to anyone who is looking for a shoe that is better than the price!
Comments: This shoe is amazing. It is like wearing running shoes. I teach tennis for living, and I wear these things 11-10 hours a day. They are amazing. By far the best tennis shoe I have ever tried.
Comments: These shoes are really comfortable, but they have terrible durability. Mine wore out in 1.5 months! They do, however, live up to the "ventilation" feature. Overall, they are a comfortable shoe while they last.
Comments: The 9.5 MV4 shoes I put on were uncomfortable right out of the box. I tried wearing them around the house to loosen them up a bit. At the bottom of the tongue where it is sewn to the shoe, there is a hard ridge. The shoe is very narrow in that area, and it digs in and hurts the top of your foot. I never got these shoes on the court because if they were that uncomfortable just wearing them, I can imagine how bad they would be on the court. I am going to try the MC4, which is supposed to be a little wider shoe.
Comments: These shoes are really great as far as grip and comfort. Obviously the durability doesn't seem that great after the first day of wearing it compared to my Barricade IV. My biggest problem with these shoes is that when you stop on a dime (cuz you can with these shoes), it makes a squeaking noise. It doesn't bother me much anymore, but it's something to think about for others. I play on hardcourts, and I wouldn't take these shoes onto the clay.
Comments: Modifying my other review, the durability on these is sub-par. I've played on them for about a month and I've worn through to the midsole, and thrashed a lot of the tread. Everything else is wonderful, but the durability is poor.
Comments: These shoes are wonderful! I wore T 10's previously, but they were too wide, which gave me blisters on the balls of my feet when I had a lot of hard side-to-side movement. They also were poorly ventilated, which resulted in some wet socks and more of a foul odor. The MV4's are narrower, which eliminated the sliding, and much better ventilated, which keeps my feet cooler. The black/silver cosmetics are sharp, and similar to the barricade 4's in the same color scheme. Great job Prince!
Comments: Great job Prince! The MC4's are the best shoes I have ever purchased, and I have spent hundreds of dollars in search of the perfect pair of tennis shoes. The MC4's were perfect right out of the box. No break in needed. The cosmetics are classy, and the comfort is outstanding. I am a 4.5 player who plays 3 times per week and have had a problem with toe dragging, but the MC4's are built to take the punishment. In addition, the Prince outsole guarantee makes these an absolute no-brainer. I wholeheartedly endorse these shoes for all types of players - from beginners to advanced. I'm going to order another pair ASAP. Well done, Prince!!!
Comments: I recently got the Prince M4s. They are really good looking shoes, but they are very stiff and have very high heels that are giving me some blisters. I also did not notice anymore ventilation than my old tennis shoes. Great shoes but not for the price!
Comments: Straight out of the box, I played a four-hour charity tournament. And the shoes performed great. Excellent support and ventilation. My feet felt amazing after being on them and running hard for four hours straight. I am a 210 pound guy who can move fairly quickly for my size, and the shoes were very supportive when I needed to come to an abrupt stop and redirect in a heartbeat. I love these shoes, and they are much better quality than my old pair of 1002's from New Balance.
Comments: Great shoe all around. Ventilation is great. On days when my feet should be feeling red hot, these feel great. It was slightly uncomfortable out of the box, but once broken into (1-2 hours of play) they feel great. No complaints with this shoe at all.
Comments: I have worn this pair of shoes for two weeks, playing 2 hours a day and two tournaments and definitely do not like them at all. I have developed two big plantar calluses on the inside part of my feet just below the big toe. Moreover, my feet hurt the next day and that had never happened before. I have chosen this type of shoes because of the amount of mesh they have since I have diabetes and I like for my feet to be able to "breath". I think Prince should have made the V (ventilation), S(stability) and C (cushion) shoes all in one. These shoes are the biggest no no after spending $100 + taxes.
Comments:This is a great shoe. In my 20 years of playing tennis I think that this is the best shoe that I have ever
owned. If you have narrow feet, his shoe is a dream come true. The MV4 is more stable and not as wide as the Prince T-10. The
T-10 foam midsole is too soft and was giving me knee problems. The MV4 is stable, fits narrow feet really well, is very
comfortable and looks like it will be very durable. What more could you want? (Besides a better color scheme?) I will be buying
more of this shoe and the MS4 before they update them and ruin them.
Comments: Its a good shoe with durability and great feel. However, I think that it lacks in stability a lot. I felt
awkward when I was moving laterally on the court. It needs more support for the ankle, comparable to the T10.
Comments: I wear shoes out very quickly, 1 to 2 months. I decided to try these because they have a six-month
durability guarantee. So far they seem to be holding up. They are a very comfortable shoe right from the box. However, I feel that
some stability has been sacrificed in order to allow for ventilation. If you like a mesh shoe I would recommend the MV4. I also
tried
the MC4 and the MS4, also very comfortable.
Comments: Great all around shoe, really built to last. Not exactly playable out of the box, but once broken in,
they're
a great shoe. Very similar to the T10's, only much better ventilation.
