Comments: I have always been a fan of this line, however, I have now twice "caught an edge" and rolled my ankle with these shoes. Once on a hard court and once on Har-Tru. Unlike its predecessors, the outside edge of this model is flat and sharp. I hope that in the subsequent model this problematic edge is fixed.
Comments: This shoe is affordable and comfortable. However, I experienced the toecap stitching coming apart and premature wearing of rubber sole. Durability issue only relates to the left shoe (right-handed player). Therefore, durability is entirely dependent on style of play. I will buy another pair.
Comments: I have had this shoe for about a month now and so far I am very impressed. The comfort and fit are amazing, far better than other shoes in this price range. The shoe is lightweight and allows me to get around the court with no problems. This is my first New Balance Tennis Shoe and I would definitely recommend that you give it a try. This shoe won't break the bank either.
Comments: Very comfortable shoe. I do a lot of running and scrambling on the court and the toe piece didn't work out for me. The toe wear cap is sewn onto the top toe piece. Even though the stitching is up high, I wore through the stitching within a couple of days of play. Now I have extra unwanted ventilation and it fits even wider with about 1" opening at the top of the seam. I like the shoe, but with the toe cap coming apart, I can't buy another pair. I will try another pair of New Balance though.
Comments: Very comfortable right out of the box. Like slippers. VERY WIDE. I have extremely wide duck feet and the 4E is too wide with a cushioned sock. In past I have usually worn 4E in New Balance shoes. Gotta wear 2 pairs of socks with these and they haven't even stretched out yet. Length is true to fit. Now for the problem. Lousy cushioning. Like slippers, flat & hard on the feet. Lateral support not very strong either. I'll probably use them for casual play and social dubs. Need "real shoes" for singles and league matches. Disappointed. Will likely go back to K swiss in a 1/2 size larger to fit my width.
