KSwiss Stabilor SLS White/Grey Women's Shoes Customer feedback

Comments: My second pair of these shoes. Yes, a bit heavy, but I need a good stable shoe because I am a runner. Most others are too soft and I get shin splints or stress fractures. They are comfortable but so stable. The metal shoelace holes are rough on the laces. On my second set of laces. Have never bought second set of laces for any athletic shoes. Still love the shoe.

Comments: This shoe runs small. I am a true 7.5 and my toe is hitting the top of the shoe and is almost at the end of it, so it's cut too short. It would not be comfortable for playing. After reading some of the comments here about the shoe's tendency to roll, I am not so sure I will get a 1/2 size larger. They are going back for sure though.

Comments: I do not recommend these shoes at all. Comfortable, yes, but like some of the other ladies, my ankle rolled while quickly switching directions. I now have 2 complete tears and a fracture in my ankle. I am having surgery in a couple days. I am a 4.0-4.5 player. For the record, I have never rolled my ankle in any other shoes before.

Comments: I am a doubles player. Like some of the other comments, I also fell while wearing them. They are very heavy and are not good for quick, sharp movements.
From: Virginia, Long Island, NY, USA, 11/10

Comments: This is a durable and comfortable shoe. Unlike others, at four months of 3-4x/week play, the balls of my feet don't hurt (usually an indication I've compacted the insole and need new shoes). The downside is I was never able to get a really snug fit around my skinny ankles - maybe lacing problem others have mentioned?

Comments: After years of playing my beloved sport, I have had every shoe out there. Recently I have had a pain in the ball of my foot, needed to put insoles in the shoes and these are the perfect fit with the orthotics. Gives you plenty room in the toe box and a cushioned ride. They are a bit heavier than other shoes out there for tennis, but they are working out for me. Had to buy 7-1/2 and usually would buy a 7.

Comments: These shoes are very comfortable and extremely well cushioned. I also thought they were a little unstable at first but I was able to make them significantly more stable by taking a few extra minutes and lacing them up tightly at each juncture. Now they are perfect and are my favorite shoes. They are holding up well. (I always wear a size 9 in KSwiss and had to go up to a 9.5.)
From: Mary, Las Vegas, NV 03/10

Comments: This shoe is durable, but the lacing is very bad. I need to keep shoe strings in my bag because the metal breaks them so often.

Comments: Been playing competitive tennis for 40+ years. This was the first pair of K-Swiss shoes I have ever purchased. A friend told me how comfortable they were. Unfortunately, I have fallen down on 2 separate occasions while playing in these shoes. I found out that the friend has also fallen twice on the court. Would not recommend these shoes to anyone serious about their tennis game... or their health.

Comments: Just like Ginny. I bought these shoes 2 months ago. I loved them in the beginning, but now the balls of my feet hurt, my toes tingle, and it feels like I'm running on concrete. The heel does have great cushioning but I think they forgot to cushion the balls of the shoes. Looking to get new shoes today!!! I'm a 4.0 player who plays 4-5 times a day and up to 3 or 5 hours on the court at a time.

Comments: I also have to agree with Debby and Linda and Stacy. They are advertised as "true to size," but I am a true 71/2 and these shoes are somewhere between a 7 and 71/2. My toes are at the end of the toe box. Not quite uncomfortable but close. I should have ordered 1/2 size larger. But, like Stacy I wore mine before I found out. I am considering re-ordering another pair 1/2 size larger. Other than that, I think the shoe is great!

(After these feedbacks, we tried on the shoes and have adjusted the description. The shoe fits a bit short as you described. Thanks, TW.)

Comments:I got these shoes and for the first few games they were great. But after the 'break-in' this shoe became bulky and heavy on the foot. I find that with each play, I needed to double the sock or take them off and start with a new pair of socks. I don't recommend these shoes, especially, if you have worn Nike or Adidas. Also, if you tend to move quickly from side to side stay away from these shoes. I have almost rolled the ankle doing that.

Comments: Awesome shoes, great from the start. Really comfortable.
From: Penny, Fortson, GA, USA, 11/08

Comments: Bought the shoes a couple of months ago. After about an hour of play, the ball of my foot was burning. Happened a few times after that even after changing to thicker socks and thinner socks. Eventually the problem stopped; however, I now have plantar faciitis. I don't know if the problem has anything to do with this shoe but I am going to switch brands anyway.

Comments: What happened to the size 12? I am looking to reorder this shoe, which was fantastic and now there aren't any. When will they be available again? Another customer mentioned the same about the mesh version.
From: JM, Los Angeles, California. 10/08
(JM, More shoes will be available, but it appears size 12 shoes are not expected to be available until 2009. --TW)

Comments: I am about to order my 2nd pair of this shoe-I love them. Great support and comfort. No break in required. They get a little hot, but it is worth it for the extra support.
From: Julie, Seattle, WA, USA, 10/08

Comments: I wore them for the first time today in a singles match. They were awesome, no break-in period required. Very comfortable and stable. This is a good shoe for ladies who have wide feet.
