Head Prestige Men's Shoes Customer feedback

Comments: Well, I did like the look and feel of these shoes when I tried them on in the store, but they did not hold up at all. Granted I have been playing a lot of tennis for a working person, but not nearly the amount that I played in high school or college. Anyway, since I play mostly on Har-tru and Red Clay, there was not a chance that the outsole was going to wear through. However, the synthetic materials by the toe that are not leather (not sure what they are) started to tear after about a month of use. After 4 months, I have a hole that lets in little pieces of the court every time that I play. I wouldn't recommend these shoes unless you could find them for under $50. That said, I will not be purchasing a replacement from Head.

Comments: Awesome shoe, good outsole and cushioning my only complaint is that the insole wore out too quickly but that’s it.

Comments: Fantastic shoe. Just switched from Adidas Barricade IVs and I'm never looking back! The Adidas offered great support, but my feet suffered as a result. The Head's have everything going for them: Excellent cushioning, traction and support.

Comments: Not the most stylish shoe ever made and I agree with other reviewers - order at least half if not a full size larger than what you normally wear. That being said, they fit nicely and the break-in period is minimal. I've been playing in them for less than three months, and the toe has worn through. Boxing them up now for the return trip to Head. If indeed they send out a new pair, it will average out to about $50 a pair for decent shoes and that's a bargain.

Comments: This shoe offers great traction on the court moving side to side. It is not a very stylish shoe, but it improves my game.

Comments: Received these new Head Prestige shoes with much anticipation that they would best the Barricade's I usually purchase; especially since these are selling for $10.00 per pair less. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. First of all, right out of the box the shoes look to be cheap in construction for a $100 pair of shoes. Glue overspray was present all over the shoe and the materials used seem to be of lesser quality than the Adidas. Secondly, I ordered a size 13 (which is what I wear) and the Head's fit was a full size smaller; not good! I even tried them on with a thinner pair of socks than what I normally wear, but it didn't make any difference. I immediately boxed them back up and shipped them back to TW. I will stick with the Barricade's. Gave it a shot, but the old stand by is usually the way to go! Thank goodness TW has free returns!

Comments: Well, definitely order a size larger than what you would normally use, and they are definitely a narrow shoe. So, I'm going to have to return the pair I got, and I dont think I am going to reorder because they just seem to be too narrow.

Comments: So far there's been nothing to complain about. I'm liking this shoe. I've been playing with it for about a month now (8+ hrs/week on hard courts + league matches). I've got a medium width foot, and noticed this shoe seems to fit just slightly smaller than true-to-size (length wise). I went to the next size up with the idea of wearing Thorlo socks and a preventive ankle brace. I'm impressed so far with traction and stability. Spec-wise, the shoe weighs in a bit heavier than my previous shoes (Nike Air Max, Adidas Tirand II), but I hardly noticed this when I first put them on. The lacing system is great, with no obtrusive plastic parts/eyelets. Also, the tongue is well ventilated and stays in place unlike my previous pair of Adidas. My feet have a natural tendency to supinate (roll outwards), but I've been supported well so far - no rollover issues (I've held off on the brace), although I can already see a thin line of wear on the outboard edge (including the back/side part of the heel). The toe area, ball of foot, and main heel still looks good, though. Still, I predict I'll be able to take advantage of the 6 month outsole wear guarantee. I noticed a very quick break-in - if any - and great support (no arch pains) & comfort. I hope things continue to go well with this one, it's the best tennis shoe I've found yet.
