Customer feedback

Comments: This is my favorite shoe. They're extremely light. The bad thing is that rolling your ankle in them is quite possible because there's no ankle support. Also, I wear through the soles pretty quickly, however Fila's 7-month guarantee solves that. You just give them a call, and then send in the tongue from one of the shoes, and they ship you a new pair. No hassle at all. They work for me because I'm light on my feet and I do a lot of running around. They don't exactly feel like your walking on air, and I'd recommend an ankle brace with them, but this is the shoe for the grinders out there.

Comments: I feel bad because I got a friend to buy the same shoe with me. I usually have the Barricade 4 and they last me nearly 5 months. Off the bat I didn't like the lack of support. My foot was rolling in the shoe, and I hated the limited flexibility in the middle of the shoe. I sometimes feel pain in the arch because of it. The first week I got the shoe I played in a tournament with it. Halfway through the week I already saw wear in the sole (heel and toe). First thing that came in my head: "Yeah I fell for the sales gimmick." 7 months yeah sure if they stay in the box, I guess. Because I live outside the States usually it's more expensive to send the shoe back for the warranty than buying a new one! I'll stick to the Barricade next time.

Comments: I first purchased the Fila Punto back when they first came out two years ago or so. And while they did not last as long as I had hoped, the traction and foot control that I had on the court was more than I had ever expected. And to all of those who said that the shoe was too loose in the heel, well it was your fault for not doing much research on the shoe. They say that this shoe has a slightly wider heel, which for me was perfect.

Comments: A very unusual shoe. I normally play in Barricade IVs, which are perfect for me, but thought I'd try a cheaper shoe. When you first put them on, even after a break-in period, they feel terrible on the court. Light, but with next to no stability and significant movement in the heel. I didn't think I'd make it through the first workout with them. Over the months, I've occasionally put them on for a set or two and I must say that my opinion has improved, though only slightly. The heel movement went away, and they are very light and feel fast on the ground, but the leather feels too plasticy and at times. The sole and shoe overall have much better stability than you'd guess after inspection. I'll stick to my Barricade's, but these might work better for a lighter player. If you tip the scales at 210 pounds like me, you're going to want more shoe.

Comments: Brutal! I ordered these shoes and put them on for 10 minutes of warm up. I had to take them off after 10 minutes due to extreme pain and my heel wanting to walk out of the shoe! These cannot be deemed a tennis shoe! Because I wore them, I kept them as an every day going out shoe. Thanks to that 10 minutes of wearing them, I was gimped the next day! Buddies asked if I had hurt my ankle. I said no, just wasted $XXX on some tennis shoes.

Comments: I had originally made a comment before about the shoes not being very durable. But after wearing them for 5 months, I have found that they are actually very durable shoes. And I play about 5 days a week. Even more durable than Prince T10s. The only downfall is the inner sole is very thin so they can feel a little hard.

Comments: I've worn several different brands and makes of tennis shoe, and this one is by far and away the worst yet. It took me maybe four times playing in it to wear through the outsole.
From: Nolan, Waynesville, GA, USA. 1/08

Comments: Very light and comfortable. I feel like I move my feet so much better. One problem of these shoes is they do not last long. I've been wearing K.Swiss & Adidas shoes, and they last more than 6 months but Fila lasted less than 3 months. I still want to wear them, though.
From: Songhee, Ashburn, VA. 12/07

Comments: Bad shoes. There is plastic that pokes through the lining that keeps rubbing my feet, which is terribly uncomfortable. I do not recommend you buy this shoe.
From: Kevin, San Lorenzo, CA, US. 11/07

Comments: I absolutely love these shoes, and they are not only one of the best on the court that I've ever used (and I'm a USPTA tennis pro) but also quite fashionable. They are light, airy, and supportive.

Comments: Really bad shoes, don't buy, no durability what so ever.

Comments: Pros: Light, stylish, durability guarantee, and good service from what I've heard. Cons: Lack of foot support. First, I'm happy with my choice since many shoes in the $50 range with a guarantee do not fit well and may not offer great support either. Being a $70 shoe, the fit is good, there's a guarantee, AND they're light - an unusual combination. The best shoes I've owned so far were the Barricade II's. The potential problems with the Punto II’s are the shoe has a lot of flexibility between the forefoot and heel. The laces must be tied very snugly to keep the shoe from flexing too much and keep the heel in the shoe. The rear sole of the shoe should have been slightly wider to keep the foot from rolling and the flexibility increases this problem. Lacing up tight will help, but not solve this. Overall, I wish the Barricade II's continued the warranty so I could have purchase my second pair. But for now I'm content to use the Fila's. They fit just as well, only there is less support. This is not a problem for me since I have a strong lower body and can play in about any shoe and not roll an ankle. The best attribute is the low weight.

Comments: Horrible shoes. Should be cheaper considering the amount of material that went in to these. Very light, but lacking in stability. The ventilation is nice but still feels like a cheap shoe once it's in your hands. This was my first Fila tennis shoe and I'm very disappointed. Hopefully I can adapt with out turning an ankle. Wish me luck. Do not buy these if you expect comfort.
