Donnay X-Yellow 99 Racquet Customer feedback

Comments: Tried Head and Babolat before but this racket will blow them away. Nice feel and control. I will buy two.

Comments: I bought this racquet and have enjoyed playing with it a lot. I did not get to try the White, but this racquet was plenty of a step-up in weight from my old 8.9 oz oversize. For me it has a nice solid feel, adds a bit of spin and is arm friendly (I used to get tennis elbow playing racquetball and haven't had any with this racquet). The only thing I miss is the poly that I demo'd it with, which gave me a nice feel that I could really swing through the ball and keep it in the court. The X-Yellow has been a confidence booster for me! Like!

Comments: I loved the white and since the yellow has almost the same specs just less stiff I thought I would give it a try. The white had more feel but it's inferior to the white. The white is just stiffer and you can really stick the volleys and hit more flat serve, the yellow was more of a touch and feel stick. The white had so much more power and was way better on slices and flat serves. I'm returning the yellow and keeping the white.

Comments: Not a great frame. Bit too light feeling with little plow through the ball. And as Kitiyada says, this unstable frame has a very small sweet spot. The "weights" don't do much to change performance.

Comments: I just received my racquet and noticed a small error on the explications of the Donnay x-yellow. The racquet stiffness is written as 67 RA but unfortunately on specification of the racquet on your web is written as 62 RA, which is misguided me because I was looking for a less stiff racquet and I preferred Donnay yellow because of its low stiffness. Best regards

(Tahsin, the specs we use are gathered from the measurements we find here at TW; for that set of racquets we found the average stiffness to be at 62.--TW Staff)

Comments: Very very spin friendly racquet. Has nice feel and great control, but the sweetspot is quite narrow, try strung it below 52 lbs. and you'll get the most out of this stick. I enjoy customizing weight/balance provided by Donnay that most of the time I'll go with full option
