Comments: I swapped from the LTD to this. This has a bit more power and just as much control. It's comfortable when you constantly hit the sweet spot, but if you frame, it can be harsh. I had to shorten my backswing a bit in order to use this racquet. I "feel" like I am hitting a more solid backhand. It's easy to serve flat and spin. It's surprisingly nice to volley with. Overall a decent racquet that is stable. No need for a dampener, unless u keep hitting the frame.

Comments: I bought this racquet the week after demoing it and 2 weeks after buying it, I started playing with my old racquet (Babolat Aero Storm 2009) again. I regret purchasing this racquet as it brings more power but does not have the spin potential that I get with my last racquet. I wish Tennis Warehouse had a way of returning racquets within the first month or something because I am playing with my old racquet most of the time now and I have a $100 racquet simply sitting in my bag.

Comments: This racquet is probably the best Babolat racquet (or racquet in general) ever made. Pros: Top spin potential, huge on serves, amazing control, buttery/flexible feel, amazing at volleys, great on slice, perfect player specs for one handers and two handers, booming serves, great graphics. Cons: Very fragile.

Comments: I had mixed feelings switching from my good old Prince Tour Hybrid which I've been playing for a long time, but overall the results have been positive. I am able to hit the ball with more spin and pace. Serves are about the same power but with more spin. The only thing i need to get used to is the weight. It's a lighter than my old Prince. Overall this is a sweet racket.

Comments: I have used Wilson K90, Yonex RDS MID (90), nBlade & Kblade, Roddick plus & Dunlop AG100. My favorite one was K90 & AG100. K90 was demanding after 2 sets & AG100 upper hoop gave me vibration, which runs to your arm (apart from that it was excellent racquet). I like Pure storm tour for stability, not very heavy as K90 & sweet spot is bigger. My ground stroke has more pace & two handed backend is more consistent. I have no problem generating power with any of the mention racquet & PST gives me plenty (meaning no power issue whatsoever). I like it so far.

Comments: Great racquet. Finally a Babolat I can use. Not stiff and uncomfortable like the Pure Drive. Has a forgiving sweetspot (even off center hits don't feel bad) and ample power. Lots of spin. Good weight for stable hits, balance and swingweight. I also played with the Pure Storm GT Limited 2009 and compared to that I like this one a lot better. The Pure Storm GT Ltd. was a bit too stiff, with much less spin, less power, less comfort (especially off center hits), smaller sweetspot and a bit too light for me. There was only one thing that bothered me with this racquet which was a short squeak or some kind of sound when I hit the ball which did not produce a clean sound. Anybody out there compare the Pure Storm Tour with the newer Pure Storm Tour GT 2009 ? Check this thread on our message board http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=302160

Comments: Stability! Stability! Stability! Now I understand why it is called a player's racket. Slightly heavier than my old Head flexpoint Instinct, I find the racket a joy to hit with. I feel that not only is the head-portion more solid and stable, but that the racket is weighted at the handle and base, allowing more power in the swing, My sliced backhands travel farther, the biggest improvement is in the way the racket blocks back hard-hit balls. This is the greatest strength of this racket. My serve has more pop than before. I recommend this racket.

Comments: I liked it at first. Pros- comfy, and hits well. A lot of 4.0-4.5 players will like it. Good weight. However, I also demoed the Yonex RDIS MP. I liked the Storm more but after a while it became clear that the Yonex is a superior racquet. comfort is a notch below and volleys are even but overall I'd rate the Yonex a 9 a couple notches below.

Comments:The best racket I have ever used. Everything in the racket excels in performance in other former sticks. My serves were a lot faster than before. Comments: I switched from a Babolat Pure Storm Limited (PSL) to the Pure Storm Tour (PST) because I wasn't getting any power from the PSL and it was exhausting me to have to swing that hard all the time. I also wanted more spin. The PST helps out in both cases, it has pretty good power and the open string pattern helps markedly with spin. I am getting nearly the same amount of power as my racquet previous to the PSL with much more control. I will say both these Babolat racquets are designed for a player with more of the traditional/classic swing for both forehand and backhand. It can generate some topspin, and if you hit with the western loop swing (windshield wiper) you can do it, it's just that it benefits the traditional swing much more. It might take some time to find the sweetspot, but once you do you'll be golden. I like it and will probably get a second before they disappear.

I'm going to get it strung at 60 next time because I don't get as much control as I can out of this racquet. The power is amazing though. This racquet is for a power player, demo this before buying.

Comments: I just tried this racquet yesterday, comparing it to my AeroPro Drive Cortex. I love the APDC, but I feel it lacks in the control and feel department. Once I started hitting with this thing I couldn't put it down. Solid feel, large sweetspot, amazing control and lets you generate your own power. I was hitting for an hour and I was having so much fun I never wanted to leave. I'm defiantly getting this stick, and I'm not going to try the new one because they look like clock, lol. Comments: I loved this racquet. I was using the Ksix one tour before and I found myself not finding consistent depth, and the head-size and weight was not optimal, but I compromised on that considering the amount of feel and control on the racquet. When I tried this racquet out, it had the same amount of feel and control, with a big head-size and optimal weight. With this I was able to swing constantly at 90% (You need to generate your own power with this) and have it always fall in. This radically improved my consistency and power. Definitely switching to this racquet.

I play competitions all over the UK and I can't wait to compete again with this new stick. I had the old Aeropro a few years ago but changed as it was giving me shoulder injuries, but this racquet seems a lot more forgiving, even on off-center shots! Comments: Awesome racquet, but is demanding on the person to produce the shots. My shot selection increased by a factor of 3. I could utilize every shot in the book with this racquet due to it's overall playability. I would recommend this racquet for only serious players. Most everyone who borrows my racquet doesn't like it. Why? They says its too demanding? I don't agree for the most part. You just have to get used to it. Only 4.5 level and above players enjoy this racquet when I let them hit with it. Go figure. Anyways, this is a must try for demo if you are an ALL COURT PLAYER. This stick yields great finesse, control, spin, speed, maneuverability, etc. It's the player that brings this all together and not the stick.

Comments: I'm 6'7", so obviously when I look for a racket I need something that can help bang out a solid serve consistently. I find plenty of power on my first serve, with no issues moving the ball around the service box. On my second serve I have access to plenty of spin and the placement is superb (in doubles, my ad-returning opponent finds themselves in another court consistently). This racket is great for baselining, and gives easy access to pace and depth with a smooth stroke. I also found this racket great for net and finesse play. It's easy to hit firm, crisp volleys and move the racket around at the net, and it also gives great access to drop shots and angles. I love this racket, and plan to continue using it at the collegiate level. I would recommend this racket for anyone who can consistently hit decent pace with another, less powerful stick. This isn't a racket for someone who can't deal with the extra power.

Comments: Although, in my opinion the durability of the frame was poor this racquet has an excellent balance between control and power. Every shot you hit with this feels crisp and perfect with serving you can produce very fast serves with ease the racquet is also very stable from the baseline. It's one down fall is the durability of the frame, if when you are frustrated you smash your racquet this is not the racquet for you because after about two smashes the racquet will break, but still a fantastic racquet though.

Comments: I agree with Lewis from NC. I too came from the Wilson 6-1 95 (18x20) and this plays so much better due mostly to flex as well as maneuverability. Does pretty much everything very well especially groundies, returns and volleys. Like many here, I agree that the production standards could be better. Other Babolat rackets don't seem to have this issue. Even the demo had a squeaky butt cap. Off center hits are noticeable but it is a small price to pay as the sweet spot on this 98 inch frame is generous. I'm getting one and experimenting with lead like others have suggested.

There was only two things I didn't like but those are easily fixed: 1 was that I did have trouble with the butt cap loosening and making noise, but just take off the replacement grip, remove the staples and super glue the butt cap to the end of the racquet, then replace the staples, 2nd was a little shakiness on off centered hits, fixed with lead at 3 and 9 o clock, i put about 5 inches 1/4 inch lead, but best racquet I have ever used.

I used to have a K Six One 95 (18x20), and it was ok, but the sweetspot on it wasn't much of anything and it was hard to maneuver. The Babolat Pure Storm tour felt one hundred times better than the K Six One I had before. Comments: Nice but demanding players frame. Plays similar to the Limited, but more open string pattern. Spin and control were good. Has a nice "scalpel" feel in your hands. Great grip shape and length. Plays lighter than the advertised 11.8 oz. Full-swinging players will like groundies and volley accuracy, but it still takes plenty of work and endurance to make this thing sing. If you're 4.0 or below, I would suggest looking elsewhere. You'll love it during the first playtest, but you'll find it too demanding during the course of a real match. Accuracy, feel, and control are the three key words here. Free service points and clean winners from 10 feet behind the baseline don't come easy with this one. 4.5/5.0+ players will generally find the Tour to be a good racquet, but at these levels it all usually comes down to personal feel and individual preferences anyway.

Comments: I've tried a lot of different racquets in the last couple of years. I have been playing with the Pure Storm Tour for 3 months and I really like the feel, weight and responsiveness. I share a lot of the positive impressions of most of the reviewers. It is definitely for higher level players who are comfortable with some weight on their racquet. In spite of all of this, I am giving serious consideration to switching to something else (perhaps the Head Prestige Mid) because of what appears to be the very shoddy manufacturing quality of this frame. On one new frame, the butt end broke within 10 MINUTES of hitting with it for the first time. On another frame, the grip loosened and slipped up the neck within a couple of sets. A third frame I had cracked very badly after a couple of weeks of play. I can hit hard, but there are plenty of guys out there who hit harder. So far, I have had one racquet replaced by Babolat. I am waiting to hear about the cracked frame I returned this week. If I continue to have bad luck, I will have to switch to something which is made to higher standards. A great racquet should also be built well, otherwise what is the point?

It swings well but is not as stable as it's Aero/Pure older brothers. I'm 5'10 171lbs athletic and the power aspect of my game evaporated with this stick. If you like to crush the ball stick with the Roddick. Someone commented that serves are easier, but I'm not looking for easier, I'm looking for spin and power, which I just didn't find enough of. Comments: I agree with the comment from Tyler, Tulsa, Oklahoma. It really has weight behind the ball and absolutely can crush the ball. As I came from PS 6.0 95, a low swing weight racket, at the beginning I couldn't swing it fast enough due to its higher swing weight. I also couldn't time my serve well. But after a few games, at least I found something of it, then my serve really came out with a few bombs, which even surprised myself. Its 16*20 pattern is a bit weird at first, if you mostly use an open pattern as I did, but it is just a matter of time getting used to it. The feeling is different from my old ProStaff, but it's very comfortable on off-center hits to the arm and it is a very big sweet spot. I need time on this racket to tune my one-handed backhand to the higher swing weight and make my forehand consistent with it. I only volleyed a little, it has a good touch, but needs time to practice. Overall, a very good racket for serve and dominating from the baseline. Its power will help me, as I am often in defensive position when playing against power players. I believe I can improve with it.

I have tried the k6-1 95, Dunlop Aerogel 300, KTour, KPro Tour, KBlade, and this is by far my favorite. I generated tons of spin off of boths sides, gained significant mph on my first serve, but I would agree with other feedback that you have to do a full swing, any half swing went into the net, or just plain died. The racket is very forgiving on off center shots, and I have had great feel and maneuverability at net. Since I noticed there were no other women on these comments I thought I would try to add a little female perspective. One thing that I did notice, though, is that it was a little tough on my shoulder in the serve, I think it is a little heavier than I am used to. Comments: I've had the Pure Storm Tour for about three months and am very pleased with it. I switched from the Ti Radical after using those for many years. I noticed the solid feel and power of the racquet as soon as I hit it. It's definitely made for an intermediate-advanced player, as the ball will fly if you're not swinging through. I demoed several racquets and debated between these and the Wilson Blade. I liked the Blade better at the net but I'm primarily a baseliner so I went with the Storm. My only complaint is that the "fit and finish" is a bit cheap. The grip started coming off one of the racquets after about a month, and the butt cap flew off the other shortly after. Both were easy fixes but shouldn't happen with racquets of this caliber and cost.

Comments: More of a traditional player's feel than previous Pure Control frame, but the beauty of the Pure Control was how easy it is in the arm when strung right. Not so with this one.

Comments: This racquet is one of the best sticks available for intermediate to advanced players. Based on my experience with the racquet, I think players with an all-around game style will find the Pure Storm Tour the most beneficial. It's maneuverable enough for quick net play, and solid enough for power baseline shots. Control is not an issue with this racquet, especially with the right strings and tension for your particular game style. A full swing is needed though to generate power and depth from the baseline.

Comments: I switched to this Babolat Pure Storm Tour racket from the Wilson K6.1-95 and am very happy with it. I liked the Wilson, but it was a bit heavy and I prefer a bit more control (rather than power). I have demoed almost all the "player's" rackets and find this one to be the best combination of weight, balance, flex and head size for me. Personally, I think it is one of the most underrated rackets out there. My suggestion is to string it on the lower end of the tension scale for maximum feel, power and comfort.

Comments: Great feel, I’m a baseliner who will come to the net, but have had volley trouble in the past. Demoed and bought 2 PST 98’s. The weight and feel perfect, I have a much better touch at the net then before. Also the backhand and topspin are more accurate, I will play with the string tension as some have recommended. Love the racket.

Comments: I'm a varsity player on my high school tennis team and previously was using a Babolat AeroPro Drive with cortex. That wasn't a bad racket, but I ended up getting one of these. Serving with this racket has been so much easier, and the control is a step up. The paint job is a good idea but gets damaged easily. The weight is just right for me, and even though some say they don't get a lot of topspin I get quite a lot. I'll be using this racket for my first match. Definitely worth at least a demo. I can see where it might not be good for everyone, but it fits me just fine.

Comments: I love this racquet. I have had no problems with durability like some others. I am coming from a nBlade, and the Pure Storm Tour has a little more power, which is what I was looking for. It has great weight and balance for me. I am a 4.0 baseliner. This racquet is super easy to hit with topspin, but it still allows me to flatten things out for a winner. It feels very smooth and feels great for my shoulder (and I'm coming off a rotator cuff injury!!). I highly recommend this racquet and especially Babolat. To me, Babolats just seem to make tennis a little easier and more fun. I've tried many brands but this one just plain works. Love it!

Comments: I am all set to write the worst review ever for a racquet. Right from the beginning, this frame didn't feel right. The balance is headlight but the racquet swings like a log. Apparently this is the 'best feel' Babolat racquet available today, but I beg to differ. I had a sore wrist just 15 minutes into a hitting session. My regular frame is the Dunlop 200G so I do have high expectations when it comes to comfort. Specs indicate a flex of 63, but this one was too harsh. I measured the strung stiffness at 65, but it still felt too harsh. Slices were terrible - everything was popping up into the sky and not keeping down. Now to one of the worst aspects of the frame - it's name! This is not a 'tour' racquet!! I had to cut my swings down by about 20% to keep the ball in the court. I think a polyester would help solve that problem but with a harsh feel as it is, a poly is only going to worsen that problem... So is there anything positive for me to say? Volleys felt solid. Serves were good with nice spin and kick. But if you're looking for a serve and volley racquet, I could recommend several other frames that are much much better than this one. Overall, a very big disappointment. A Dunlop faithful, I gave this a try at the suggestion of a friend, but I am going back to my 200Gs. I'd give it a 6/10 rating. Even the Pure Drive series had a lot more to offer than this one. Oh, and all the comments about the racquet cracking are true. The frame feels very disconnected from the handle and is a disaster waiting to happen. I don't know what's going on inside those handles.

Comments: If you're a 4.5+ and love to hit the ball aggressively, this is the racquet for you. Unbelievable control from all areas of the court. Use the Babolat Spinfire and you'll get excellent spin on your shots. I was told that this is not a racquet for players with severe tennis elbow but haven't been hurting since switching to it in late December. Overall, best racquet I’ve played with in 20+ years of playing (counting the earlier Pure Control as the second best). Great design, too! My only complain is the handle - came apart after only three weeks of hitting, on all three racquets.

Comments: I demoed this a few months ago and could not refrain from buying one. If you're looking for control with the right amount of heft to hang with power-oriented players, this is it. Slice returns stay low off bullet serves, baseline slices create amazing angles. Nice pocket-like feel on serves, velvet feel at the net although not headlight enough. With Tecnifibre X- One Biphase, the feel is almost like butter.

Comments: I've not had this stick long, but I prefer it to the KSix-One 95 that I previously had. This has nice feel, and you get the feedback you long for when hitting an approach followed up by a first solid volley. An all-courter's dream: really, at home wherever you are! I'm getting plenty of consistent depth from the back and the maneuverability and control I want on the volley. You can keep your RQiS, K-Factor and Radicals...this rocks! Babolat has made a good quality player's stick that is still accessible for a club player who doesn't want a 25mm beam!

Comments: I am a Babolat guy and have used the Pure Drive, Pure Control, Pure Drive Cortex, AeroPro Drive and now am currently sporting my 3 main AeroPro Drive Cortex sticks, but I bought this one to have something different in the bag. I'm having second thoughts now, it's that good. First thing I noticed is the "feel," this racquet should be called Pure Feel because it's perhaps the best feel of any Babolat racquet. Obviously this has tremendous control in which I can be late on my shot or off center on return of serve and still the low power doesn't let the ball fly. Some of us know what I'm talking about. In all honesty this has the best combination of good things all put in one frame. It has feel, control, excellent spin ability due to the open string pattern, good weight (over 320 grams unstrung) and surprisingly great pop on first serves. I have used a Pure Control Team in the past, and this one somehow feels different. The swingweight is lighter, and therefore I can swing through the ball faster. Maybe the specs are the same as before, but I just felt that it had more flex and was more head light than in previous models. But either way, this stick is a serious contender for best Babolat racquet depending on what you prefer. If I still feel the same way about this in a couple of months, I might make a full switch. For now the Pure Storm Tour and Aeropro Drive Cortex are the class of Babolat.

Comments: I love the look of the racquet. What I liked most about this racquet was the way it was against hard hitters, especially in defense, where I was able to slice and drive deep with adequate spin, then flatten it out and attack. Also my second serve has improved with spin and consistency. The down side of the racquet is that when your opponent isn't hitting it hard it lacks control and feel. However, the most worrying thing about the racquet is that Babolat allows 7 grams of weight difference on each frame.

Comments: I can feel this racquet actually bending when hitting with it. I like the last model better because it is stiffer and feels way better. Maybe the racquet I demoed is not at the right tension for the racquet. Try the old Pure Control Team Standard.

Comments: This certainly hits big. I have had two Radicals (LM & MG) and this Pure Storm adds power (16 mains) with the same control (20 crosses). Unlike the Rads, it is a true 98 and feels like the entire stringbed is the sweetspot! It suits my game of big serve and big forehand. Yet it also helped add spin to give me a safer backhand. Superlative racquet. Thanks for that Babolat.

Comments: Great racket but doesn’t have a reliable racket handle. After just 2 weeks. No marks or anything on the racket, the inside of the handle cracked and it happened to both my pure storm tour rackets. Both new rackets. I had to send both back and it’s been 3 weeks since. Also more people I know who have this racket had the same handle problem. So it’s a great overall racket but just a warning.

Comments: Great review by Igor and good comments from Matt from TX. I agree 100% in your assessments. I have played two prior generations of Pure Controls and this is the best version by far. I quit using the PC and went to Dunlop 200 series and Fischers because I wanted more flex and REAL control, not just in a name. I gave up my great serve with the PC to get that extra control, but now I can have both! The extra flex is what I have been screaming for with the PC and now they gave it to us. Great all court stick, terrific on serves and baseline and maneuverable at the net. The only negative I have with this stick is that its a bit dead in the upper hoop, more so than the old PC but that’s fine, hit it in the middle! Also I might try a bit of lead at 12 o'clock and some in the butt to offset it and I think that will take care of that. I have literally tried every players racket made and this is the stick I play with, I sold all my Dunlops except for my beloved MW200 and one Fischer MSpeed, I bought 3 of the new Pure Control Storm and I'm not looking back, my search is over.

Comments: Excellent player's racquet with just the right amount of flex to maximize feel and go easy on the arm. Switched from Head Flexpoint Prestige because of persistent elbow problems. Excellent spin production, especially with the right strings. Actually measured 12.0 oz strung and 6 pts head light. Well balanced as is, but I added 3 grams at the top of the hoop and this stick becomes a real serve bomber! Although its technology is a bit more advanced, I think its no coincidence that the spec's are quite similar to the prince classic os graphite, a legendary frame. Quite different from most of Babolat's other offerings, which tend to be on the stiff and light side.

Comments: I’m a long time n6195 user, I was skeptical about the raves I was hearing about the nBlade because it is so much lighter than I am accustomed to. After seeing the near cult following this racket has, I bought one from TW and I'm glad I did. I now see why there are so many people who Just purchased quite a few of these rackets and found them to be the most solid racket since the liquidmetal prestige mid. Great spin potential from both sides with a very maneuverable balance. Destroys the ball through the hitting zone and still offers exceptional feel and power on off-center shots. Serving is amazing and allows for full penetration with slice and flat serves. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid players racket that will do slightly more work than any midsize racket on the market. Definitely a winner!

Comments: This racquet is an update to the older pure control. With that said, this review will be biased based on this one fact. I've played with 2 prior generations of pure controls. Compared to the prior version, it definitely plays softer allowing for more aggressive hitting. The stiffness spec. changed dramatically with a bump down in beam width. This to me translates to less power than the prior model given equivalent strings/tension. As per say the stability claim: I think that the racquet does hit with more stability then the prior version because the feedback from the racquet has been improved while the head light balance has been toned down a notch. Obviously this would render the swingweight a tad bit higher but this translates to more plow without factoring in the beam width change. I don't necessarily like the lower C.O.P but that is different from each type of racquet line up. ie: the sweet spot seems a tad bit lower then the original. For those who do not like this racquet: Hit the sweet spot! Framing the ball doesn't qualify a statement of instability...move to a larger frame or a swing weight that is appropriate for you.
1. Power control is great with the highest string tension but still remains soft. Obviously, the sweet spot will diminish a bit, but this racquet is about control. Lower string tensions do add power and more a cushy feel. ie: mid tension. Predictability off the string bed is slightly compromised but not that much compared to other racquets that make racquet head speed and power the primary selling point.
2. The stiffness change is welcome for the most part but the racquet does seem to give way when I hit heavy with a two handed backhand. ie: I can feel the frame flexing/distort a tad bit throwing off my directional control. I will bump up the tension another 2 pounds to see if this rectifies the problem. In most cases, depth and directional control is great. The prior version had to be strung tight for this and with the added stiffness made the racquet playability a bit harsh when hitting for spin.
3. Spin generation was easy from the baseline and serves. This is really a subjective topic because of swing types used along with preference for gripping during hitting. If you use a windshield wiper swing, this racquet might not be for you though.
4. It didn't take much energy to get the serves going. If you have tried serving with a k95xl for half hour at full force, you can appreciate the statement made above. Serving was relatively easy with moderate pace due to the even power level. Bombing down the T and away had sufficient speed to keep opponents honest. Reminder: Serving is a personal art. If you can't throw a ball with speed then most likely you will not be able to serve fast either. Even with a serving based racquet, I can only get an extra 15 MPH at most out of it.
5. Volleying was very predictable on approach shots. Placement was easier because of the string bed predictability. It might not be as punchy as a stiffer or heavier frame but it gets the job done. The mixture lends itself for an all court player....quick enough to manipulate at net but stable enough for hard returns. Overall impression: The racquet isn't super in one particular area, it’s good in all areas.
