Comments: These are the best shoes I have ever played in. Although, these are
probably as good as the original (the 90's model's)... they are still
the best. Low to the ground, very stable. Once you get past the break-in, the leather uppers and the soles start to mole into your
feet. Fits like a glove. My current oscillate's soles've started to peel off the moulding; I had
them stitched... I still want to keep them.
Comments: The absolutely the best shoes ever for tennis, especially if you have rolled your ankles once or twice.
Comments: when will you be having stocks in 11 and up sizes?
Comments: Shoes offer excellent support, stability and low to the ground feel with nice tight fit. Also durable.
However, cushioning is minimal. Starting playing again after about 5 to 6 year layoff (now 38 years old), and truthfully, I could
stand to lose about 30lbs. After 5 to 6 weeks playing in Oscillates (3 times per week on hard courts), my knees, ankles and
Achilles tendons were very sore and aching all the time. Switched to Asics Gel Resolution 2's, and in less than a week all knee and
ankle issues went away. Moreover, Asics feel much lighter and equally as stable and maneuverable.
Comments: Poor quality shoe. Adhesive that connects the sole to the shoe gave out after a few weeks play. Shoes
felt decent enough but can't trust Nike for another pair.
Comments: I've worn these shoes for a few years now, and I can definitely say, you'll either love 'em or hate 'em. I
have a narrow foot, with a low arch and the moment I put these on, I was in heaven. They feel light weight and are super stable.
I'm a very agile player with better than average court coverage and have never had any tweaks even on the most demanding lateral
sprint. The only downside to all of this control is rigidity. They do take a bit to break in, and their cushioning is VERY minimal.
Conversely, if your footwork is solid and you play on the balls of your feet, you really shouldn't have too many problems. But for
people who often strike the ground with their heels, I can see these being a nightmare.
Comments: These shoes look great but killed my feet the first couple of times on the court. It took me about a
week to break these shoes in and now they are pretty comfortable. I like how these shoes feel agile and low to the ground.
However, I don't know if I will be purchasing another pair because of the break in period.
Comments: Great shoes. Very comfortable but take a few days to break in. Once you get past
the breaking point they just amazing on your feet. Looks a lot like a basketball shoe but lower
cut. I highly recommend these shoes to any player who wears out shoes quickly like me and is
tired of paying over 100 dollars for a decent pair of shoes because you get the same quality
in these.
Comments: I bought these on a whim after reading the reviews here. Prior to these I was wearing New Balance
shoes. WOW, every once in a while you find a tennis shoe that absolutely fits your foot. These fit as though they were custom
made for me. I like the low stance and the support is perfect. I will be ordering several more pairs in the near future. Wearing
these while swinging my T/W Donnay Pro One, proves that great design never goes out of style.
Comments: I just got these shoes and they are AMAZING!! I thought they would not have ventilation but they do.
I've played with every single pair of Rafas shoes and the Djokovic shoes. These are the BEST PAIR I've played with. These are
definitely a must buy if you have a narrow foot.
Comments: I am going through my first pair and just order three more. Lasted more than a year and still doing
strong. Pros: Glove like fit, light weight, great ankle support, great look and awesome traction with very good durability,
reasonably priced. Cons: Sits low and lacks some cushions which works fine for me but not for all, limited ventilation. Overall
arguably the best tennis shoes I have ever owned. Needs couple of matches to break in but once broken in it feels part of your
foot.
Comments: For me, these are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever
purchased. I have a medium-wide foot. These pinch my forefoot and put
way too much pressure on my Achilles. They are fairly heavy, hot, and
way too stiff. Stay away, even at this price.
Comments: After reading a bunch of these comments, it seems to me that those people with narrow feet adore
these shoes. I can confirm that. I have narrow feet and I have had trouble with other shoes because my foot moves around in the
toe box for most Adidas and Nike shoes. The Air Oscillates are absolutely perfect for me. I suggest you change the insoles to
some gel inserts or something because otherwise the arch is a bit low. Otherwise, top marks.
Comments: After playing on these shoes for several months, I'd highly advise staying away. Contrary to many of the
reviews, these shoes feel heavy and cumbersome around the court relative to any other tennis shoes I have owned. They have no
breathe-ability for hot days and can feel like bricks on your feet, especially if you wear a large size like I do. The tour pair Sampras
moved so well in must have been of an entirely different fundamental construction. These things, despite their reputation
otherwise, hinder my footwork around the court. Only upside is durability, as even after frequent use they show very little sign of
deterioration. I guess that is the upside of their weight.
Comments: I found these shoes to have a very heavy feel and I felt flatfooted. In addition, the worst part was that
the shoes were very stiff and the sides of the shoe were higher/taller than most other shoes. With the stiffness and the tallness,
the shoes rubbed against my ankles until I eventually was bleeding through my sock. This happened with only wearing them
twice. Although I wore the shoes twice, Tennis Warehouse was very gracious enough to let me return the shoes for store credit.
This was excellent customer service.
Comments: Bought my pair last August. Perfect fit for my narrow foot. Though the arch is a bit low, it hasn't been a
problem. I feel much quicker in these shoes than in my Barricade IIs. Excellent marks for traction, stability, and durability.
Cushioning has been solid and good. A note on durability. I got a pair of Barricade IIs in December, and have worn through the
toe. The Oscillates are older, and still going. This new version of the shoe has some impressive durability. Not only are the soles
holding up, but the uppers are wearing perfectly. The only issue I have with these shoes is breathability. Definitely a lot of sweat
pooling in there. Beware if you're feet sweat a lot, and plan on changing socks every two sets. ;-) I plan to buy another two pair of
these shoes when the current pair wear out. Just about as good as it gets for me.
Comments: On Court, OK. Off court, stinky stinky stinky. Your foot is trapped in a leather vault. I have to wash
them once a week after spraying them with Clorox bleach cleaner. No other shoe has been even half as stinky. I can't imagine a
shoe that breathes less but Nike did. The all-plastic Court Ballistics should give me trench foot. I’m sticking with the Breathe
series.
Comments: Cheap build quality and an antique cushioning system. I don't know if the
original Oscillate model was of a higher quality than these re-issues but I guarantee you Sampras' custom version were nothing
like these. Compared to the Vapors, they're like generic sneakers. Stay away.
Comments:I had it for about 6 months, I play 3 times a week mostly doubles actually durability is close to the
Adidas Barricades. But Air Oscillate is less bulky. Fit is good, grip is excellent (like driving a race car. I did go 1/2 size up and
added cushioned soles fit is perfect but you can order it straight it'll break in. I just didn't want the break-in period. Overall 9/10
rating.
Comments: Don't go up in size unless you have wide feet. These shoes do not run small! If you have narrow feet,
you'll have too much room at the end of your toes if you go up 1/2 size. They take a few days to break in, but once they do,
they're very comfortable, great looking too.
Comments: This is not the same shoe as the old air oscillates. This shoe's comfort does not compare and has a
very stiff feel. It has lost most of its comfort it once had, and also weighs more. Not impressed with this shoe. I feel the other
68-dollar Nike shoe replica does a better job supporting the old Nike air oscillate.
Comments: These shoes really do run half to one full shoe size small.
Comments: Nice lightweight, fast around the court. Foot bed liner cloth separating from foot bed liner itself after
only one use, however. I thought it was my sock bunching up during play, but no. These shoes are cheap, but apparently you get
what you pay for. We'll see how durable these are in the sole department in the coming months.
Comments: Not a big fan of these shoes. Very stiff. I have tried the Nike Breathe Cage II they are a lot better. I
would compare these to the Adidas barricades (did not like). I also got blisters after wearing the shoe for only 1 week. It's a good
looking shoe besides that.
Comments: Forget about other shoes, period. Great support and fit like a sock. So secure you may not even need to
tighten all laces. Very low to the ground, lots of stability. Light weight.
Classic 80's look.
Comments: I'm a big guy and usually go with New Balance since I have pretty wide feet and a low arch. I figured I
would try these out, but they just weren't the shoe for me. Much too narrow, and the arch wasn't enough arch support for me.
Comments: The absolute best shoe ever made, I actually at first got this shoe and didn't like the shoe cause it felt
tight and I did get a half a size bigger and loosened the laces a little and then I played a couple of matches and I broke them in
and they felt absolutely so comfortable. They don't make my ankles hurt like other shoes, they support the ankle and the back of
your foot I Love these shoes and I am going to buy another pair so I have a backup just in case they get sold out.
Comments: I've always dreamed of these shoes and finally I got'em! I ordered it at www.tennis-warehouse.com and
I recommend this site to all of you :-) The shoes are outstanding and very comfortable. Don't believe those who say that they are
uncomfortable. Just buy a half-size bigger than you normally would and enjoy Nike Oscillate!
Comments: These are the best shoes ever but not durable at all. They're very light and feel like they are part of your
body. No ankle roll issues at all. They are narrow so you must get a half size larger. A pair never lasted me more than 3 weeks or
40 hours of play. If I had enough cash to blow on a new pair of shoes every month or so, this would be it. No other shoe compares
to this.
Comments: Best shoe ever. Sober, classic but atypical design, powerful performances, like Sampras. It's a pity the
black version does not exist anymore.
Comments: Great for clay or hard court my explosiveness and quickness was increased exponentially and I was
getting balls I usually wouldn't get because the traction was amazing. The downside is durability, which is about 4-5 months on
clay, or 3 months of hard court every day practice. Also, is tends to rip or shred at the inner toe part.
Comments: Ah yes, these shoes bring back fond memories. I could cover the whole court all day in these babies,
until someone stole them! Favorite tennis shoes of all time for me; matter of fact, I'm ordering some now.
Comments: I am a huge fan of the Nike Air Max Breathe Free II's and after buying my 11th pair I decided to buy
these as well. I play on clay in the winter and after five months of playing three to four days a week these shoes have about
another month of playing in them. They had good support better than Breathe Free's and were lighter as well. I felt as if balls were
easier to track down and sliding was not an issue with these shoes. Buy a size larger than what you normally wear considering
they run small. Other than that great match performance shoes. I would recommend buying a pair of these for matches and a pair
of the Breathe Free's, which have slightly better durability for practice.
Comments: By far the best tennis shoe around. Yes, it is small, so get a larger size by a 1/2 size, but the comfort,
durability, weight, traction, and look are second to none. I wore these shoes 10 years ago, and thank god they are back.
Comments: I wore these shoes constantly first time round and have been wearing Barricade 2's since. Great shoe
but the Oscillate looks, feels and plays better all round. I just love it and will stockpile again. The low to the ground super stable
feel just gives you so much confidence when on court. Did I mention how cool they looked even off the court?
Comments: These were the most expensive shoes that I have ever purchased, and I'm so disappointed. I went a
size larger as per advice, and they are still too tight. There is almost no padding in them and my feet just kill me after walking in
them. I am afraid to wear them on the court.
Comments: Nice shoes, very comfortable, durable, and stable. Also light for tennis shoes compared to the '06 and
'07 models. My only complaint is that it fits quite tight in the forefoot area. Be sure to try it out before you buy. Or just choose a
size larger...
Comments: Thank God Nike came to their senses and brought back the best tennis shoe ever made. I have played
tennis for more than 30 years and have always kept pace with the latest in equipment. But this is by far the best tennis shoe that I
have ever worn. As long as Nike keeps making the Air Oscillate it is the only tennis shoe that I will ware.
Comments: Best shoe ever! I forgot how great these shoes were. Comfort, traction my knee feels great after 2 hours
of playing. The look is classic and the price is right Nike you better not stop making this shoe its a classic like Pete.
Comments: I did not like these shoes. They were awful. The skin on my foot was completely destroyed and that was
after 1 training session!
Comments: So happy to see these back! Absolutely one of the best shoes I've worn in over 25 years of tennis. Nike
seemed to have lost their way after the air zoom vapor model, and I had started wearing the Adidas barricade II, which is also a
very fine shoe, but I will definitely be purchasing a new pair of the oscillates!
Comments:Simply the best match day shoe I've ever worn. I stocked up before they were discontinued, but have
since run out and am so glad to see it back. No gimmicks, no bells and whistles, no need, this one has it all without shouting it
at you. Definitely buy a half size larger than you normally would, sizing runs small.
Comments:Once again Nike finally has came to there senses about a tennis shoe that should have been still being
made since the departure of one of the greatest players of all-time (Pete Sampras). This shoe has more comfort and stability
then people know. It makes my foot feel comfortable when I play and will last me longer then another shoe that Nike has to offer.
Nike please don't stop making this masterpiece.
Comments: Great looking shoe that will be around for a long time. The low to the ground feel is great and the
Zoom Air really works. I had to buy a full size larger because these run very small.
Comments: Thank God and thank you tennis warehouse for making this shoe available again! This is the best shoe
I have ever owned, and ever since they were discontinued I have had to resort to ebay and craigslist to buy even used ones to use!
Comments: I've always loved these particular shoes from Nike. I don't know why they stopped making them
because they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever played in. The Nike Air Oscillate feels like your playing tennis in a
comfortable pair of house shoes. I love them.
Comments: The greatest tennis shoe has finally returned. The mystery surrounding the Oscillate is over and the
shoe good enough for the greatest of all time has hit stores once mention a sleek and stylish design. The air zoom technology
makes the shoe light as a feather. I would recommend having a pair just for matches. Has been known to wear down quicker than
other shoes. Stock up with you can, who knows how long they'll be out for!
Comments: PROS: The Oscillate offers an exceptionally high degree of comfort and stability while also providing
excellent traction on all court surfaces. CONS: The durability is terrible and the fit is exceedingly tight in the toe.
Comments: When I was a junior tennis player, about six or seven years ago,
these were the only shoes that I used. Since then I have been trying to find a shoe that fits
my foot well (I have a narrow foot with high arches). I decided to try these again. They are
nice and low to the ground, like I remember, but it seems like they don't have the arch
support that they had in their first models. If I play for too long, my arches get kind of sore.
As is the case for all Nike shoes, durability is an issue for those that play on hard courts.
Comments: These shoes offer the best mix of performance features. I just
bought my eighth pair. They are lightweight, comfortable, very stable, and timeless looking.
The downsides is durability. Nike, please, keep on producing them!
Comments: I worked for Nike for four years and wore almost every tennis shoe
in the range. I found this shoe to be far and away the best I have ever worn. I would like to
see them as part of the range permanently, they are that good. I agree with the comments
about sizing, very tight.
Comments: Unbelievable shoe. I'm on to my 8th pair (no lie, I go through one
every month) and I still can't bring myself to change. I bought a pair of green Air Zoom Profiler
shoes, and I can't seem to get used to them after being hopelessly spoiled with these
fantastic shoes! Buy a pair, heck buy 10, they're without a doubt the single most impressive
shoe ever.
Comments: I really liked this shoe. It had really nice cushioning and was a fairly
flat base. It's easy to run in and is comfortable when playing for several hours.
Comments: Hands down the best tennis shoe I have ever put on my feet! Why
Nike is discontinuing these is beyond me. They should go the opposite way and make
these shoes their staple classic and offer them in different colors (did you see Pete
Sampras wearing all black ones for night matches during the 2001 US Open...awesome)!
Comments: These are absolutely the best tennis shoes on the planet. Too bad
Nike is discontinuing them- AGAIN. Let's let them know that there is still great demand for
the shoes.
Comments: The Nike Air Oscillate Shoes are the best tennis shoes I have ever
worn. I just wore out my fourth pair of them and was about to buy another pair but they don't
have my size so I bought the new deeper tread clay version. I don't understand the
complaints about the durability of the outsole and shoe. My current pair I had been wearing
for two high school seasons in both matches and practice and the summer in between.
They only just wore out now. As for comfort they are unsurpassed. The Nike Air Oscillate
Shoes are the most responsive and comfortable tennis shoes ever!
Comments: It seems that Nike has discontinued these shoes. Wonder why?
They were a very good product. Put some pressure on Nike to continue making them.
Comments: Who is Nike trying to kid? This isn't the 3rd generation of this shoe.
They realized they messed up by changing it and went back to the original design. Best shoe
ever. Who cares if they wear out quickly!
Comments: It feels like you're on a cloud and who cares if they don't last long,
they are still the greatest shoe ever made.
Comments: These are the best tennis shoes I've had. They are low to the
ground, with firm cushioning that is very responsive. My feet feel good no matter how long I
play. They are about the same weight as the Court Motion Internationals I had, but lower to
the ground, with a slightly different feel. The support is pretty good, nothing amazing. More
importantly, I am really surprised that people are saying the outsoles aren't durable. I played
with these things all last spring on my team, practicing 5 days a week, and I used them in all
my matches also. After that, they were in perfectly fine shape, so I used them all summer,
too. I say, get a pair!
Comments: The Nike Men's Air Oscillate is a great shoe. I am in high school
and I have gotten a lot of good comments on the look. Despite the look the comfort is
amazing. I personally like the snug fit but if you have wide feet this is not the shoe for you.
Plus Pete Sampras wears them so you have to get them!
Comments: I have bought a pair of Nike Oscillate tennis shoes and they have
been great for the amount of time I have worn them. The sole is not very durable and I only
wear these shoes for tournament matches and regular exhibition matches. Other than that
the comfort, the snug fit, the weight is great. If you are going to buy these shoes, I would
suggest that you would only wear these on special occasions.
Comments: These are very exact shoes: you brake, you stop!
Thus a lot of support and stability. The feet don't move laterally except minimally. The price
you're paying, as for any Nike shoes: small toe box, thus not good for people with wide feet
(look into Wilson, perhaps Prince), if you don't want to get black toenails. Nike should do
something for people with wide feet in the same line. Also, they don't breath too well, you'll
have to change socks frequently. In terms of sizing, buy 1 size higher for Nike, at least,
especially if wearing thick socks (say the Thorlos, an excellent product), or having wide feet.
Comments: The Nike Men's Air Oscillate is the best tennis shoe that I have ever
bought. Good support and stability on the feet when you are running, especially on hard
courts. This model is the real classic. I agree with other people that the outsole is weaker
than other brands and I suggest to the Nike designer to start working on it.
Comments: Best tennis shoe I have ever worn and now they are no longer
manufactured ? What kind of business is that?
Comments: I would say Nike Men's Air Oscillate Shoes are one of the best Nike
shoes: they are very comfortable, thanks to forefoot and heel zoom air, they are also strong
shoes, outsole is durable. Plus they are good looking shoes.
Comments: The Air Oscillates are my favorite tennis shoe ever. (I've been playing for nearly 30 years now) They are as comfortable as a pair of slippers, yet offer great traction and lateral support--an unbeatable combination, in my opinion. Negative aspects of this shoe are those which apply to almost all Nike tennis shoes : Poor outsole durability (I play 3-4 times a week on hard courts and typically wear them through in about 3 months); and very small sizing (plan on going up at least one whole size compared to other brands). Kudos to Nike for bringing back this excellent, classic shoe. (Note: Do not confuse these
ORIGINAL Air Oscillates with the now-discontinued Air Oscillate II, which, in my opinion, was
a terrible shoe--very narrow, stiff and uncomfortable)
Comments: The Nike Men's Air Oscillate are by far the best shoes I have played
in a decade. In fact, it's the only shoe I have played in the past seven years! In every area
one uses to determine a shoe's performance, comfort and durability, the Air Oscillate
White/Navy has delivered. I played the original and the updated version that including subtle
revisions was nothing but ways to improve an already tremendous shoe...It's a real classic
and it's no wonder now why Nike will continue to keep the Oscillate in it's product offering for
years to come! Highly recommended.
