Comments: I am using the Head Instinct MP Graphene. I have strung it with ALU Power at 57 lbs. At first, the amount of power I could generate was unreal, although after a week or two it has lost a lot of tension. I am using a western grip on my forehand and I felt like the difference between the simple ALU Power and Rough was that Rough didn't have that pop that I was looking for.

Comments: First time playing with this string and so far, I am seriously impressed. I strung it at 58 lbs on my Head Youtek IG Speed MP 300 and I have been able to achieve massive amounts of power and control. They are definitely stiffer than you will be used to, even for a polyester but I don't find it as a problem as I have been starting to string at higher tensions than 58 so it balances. The spin potential is also very good, about the same as RPM for me. Overall, very impressive and so far is my new top string. Definitely brought my game to another level.

Comments: I tried this string at 55 lbs on my Pure Drive GT. After one week of playing, it feel softer than Babolat RPM Blast at the same tension (used rpm blast previously). While this is a good string, I kind of have a mixed feeling. Going to give another week of trying before deciding to go back to RPM. Maybe I will restring it higher at 56 or 57. Good thing is I never feel uneasy with this string at all. Very comfortable and safe (yet expensive). Tighter tension would probably give me more control in the court. Suits all sort of players I guess though you have to get accustomed to its character.

Comments: I have tried this string a couple times in various iterations (by itself with very low tension, hybrid with gut in mains both at very low tensions), and every time it gives me some kind of arm pain, most often in the wrist and also in the elbow. It is an amazing string and I wish that I could use it. You really get amazing power and spin with it, and it is a very controllable power you get. But I just can't use it unfortunately because of the stiffness and harshness. Just causes me too much arm problems. I think some people have the DNA or muscle strength to use it, but I surely don't. For someone coming to this string for the first time, I would recommend starting with a very low tension first 42 to 45 pounds tops. See how your arm takes it and slowly increase from there if you think you need to.

Comments: This is the best string ever made. I used this string in my Prince Black Speedport customized with lead tape at 3 and 9 o'clock, that it was so easy to handle pace and hit a heavy ball deep. This is ten times better than any other string out there. Another added dimension to lead tape is that it gives you weight you can transfer into the shot which makes the your ball heavier. All the good older players at my club use this string with 110 or 115 square inch head size and I am like how can you play with a such a big racquet and make the ball go where ever you want shot after shot, well the answer is this string. I would also recommend uses a dampener to reduce the vibration of this string. I have hit the most sickest drop shots with this racquet by accident and the heaviest backhands and forehands. If you are younger, I do not think that is string will ruin your elbow and if you are used to polys then you should be fine with this string.

Comments: I've recently strung these on a Prince EXO3 graphite 100 at 23kgs. I'm not sure if it's the racquet + string combo, or just the strings, or if i've just improved my technique, but I'm finding that around about the time I got my racquet back from the stringers, my topspin shots are diving into the court significantly often, whereas normally they'd fly long or wide. Regardless of whether I actually play better, I think these strings are better than your average poly, mainly because the plastic they're made off seems to retain strength very well even when bent and fatigued. (try it for yourself!, take some of it and bend it around and try to break it, it's very difficult). This is a very good property for a tennis string to have, because of the way strings need to weave over and under each other, causing a good deal of stress to the strings at certain points. They also seemed to have held their tension well over 3-4hrs of smacking the ball around, and the strings do not move out of position much so far.Hopefully they'll keep going!

Comments: This string is very good. I extremely recommend that you hybrid with it! It feels awesome, anyone can play with it and it is easy to swing. This string in a hybrid allows aggressive players to hit hard (make sure you brush a little) and the ball still goes in. It plays wonderfully. Unfortunately, like most other hybrids, durability will drop. Luxilon does dig holes into your softer string, even after only about 2-3 hours. Sort of afraid the string will snap all of a sudden.

Comments: I'm all for the opinion that strings should be a personal thing and that people should buy strings that suit their game, and not Roger Federer's. But there is a reason that so many people use this string, including both successful pros and top ranked juniors. It's just straight up amazing. Don't feel that you're on some kind of a bandwagon or anything by playing with Luxilon because if you hit big, with topspin, this is the best stuff to use. It holds the tension extremely well and it lasts for a while, even if you're playing 3-4 hrs, all 7 days. It is well worth the buy, and it is well worth it for your game too.

Comments: I decided to try this string out of morbid curiosity, because I am very satisfied with MSV Focus Hex strings. But, because the use of this string on the Tour and all the masochist tendencies of expensive means better I gave it a try. It turned out to be a pretty good string. Very powerful and the grip on the ball is not bad for not being a textured string or a thin one. It starts very stiff, but after a while it loosens a bit and gets more comfortable, like any other poly out there. I still prefer my MSV because of better spin and cost effectiveness, but if you are looking for power as the main priority and can afford it, I recommend this string blindly. In about a month I will be trying Tourna Big Hitter Rough 17 and compare them with by beloved MSVs to see if its worth making a switch.

Comments: I came back to this string because of it's buy 2 get 1 free promotion. Good control, good spin, low power string. Here's a bit of my advice. Its recommended to have it string at least 10% less of tension, if you do that, you mess it up. The tension loss of this string is a Lot, over 15% in the first couple days of play. This string is stiff, so the way to do it is put the string on at your normal tension (I put 3 lbs more on mine) be patient and let it rest for a week or 2. This way, it already has some of its tension loss before you play, which won't leave you feeling like hitting a wooden board and hurting your arm. (If you do the 10% less tension, it will feel like your favorite racket for the first 1 or 2 days and it'll feel like crap at the rest of its life. It's like 40+ lbs left or something like that). Highly recommend for hybrid as the main and something soft at the cross. If you do a full bed, make sure to get a good or bigger dampener, because of its stiffness it tends to vibrate a lot. Comments: I can't even begin to describe how awesome these strings are. They were a little stiff at first but after about an hour- hour and a half the minor problems disappeared. I strung these in my mains with Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex and I must say it's awesome. Perfect spin, Perfect Power, Perfect Control, Perfect Touch. The only thing I have found wrong with these is the amount of strain it puts on my arm with is to be expected from a sting like this but the problem was quickly remedied by the addition of a stronger dampener.

Comments: If you want to try Power 16L but is afraid that your arms will hurt, try this combination: Fluoro 17 on main at mid-2, Power 16L on cross at mid-4. The balance of spin, power and feel is great. Power 16L is stiff but if you lower the tension, it works well. Powerful, consistent and predictable. Many people shy away from Power 16L and stuck with soft strings like NXT. That's unfortunate. I have tried Luxilon's Power 16L, Fluoro 17 and Ace 18. All these are more consistent and playable than NXT. You just have to lower their tension. I prefer hybrids. If you don't hit that hard, try Ace 18 on main and Fluoro 17 on cross at mid tension. Using thinner gauge for main improves feel.

Comments: I started using this string about 6 weeks ago and I have to say that I'm still trying to adjust to it. I strung it on my head Youtek radical pro at 57lbs and at the beginning I felt like as was hitting the ball with a piece of a hard wood. In the first match with this string my serves, which is normally very strong, were not the same, my balls had no speed and at the end of the match my arm was hurting. After few days using it seems that things start getting better as far as the tension is going down a little bit.... Lets see what is going to happen in the next "chapters"... I will keep trying it with a lower tension (before I have used Head sonic pro, which is my favorite till now and Head PPs synthetic gut, which is a great string for playability, but very weak. it breaks and lose tension very easy).

Comments: Outstanding. The best poly in the market. You will be surprised by the performance of this string, believe me. At first, I was afraid about my arm, because I never played with a polyester string in my life. I switched to it 4 years ago, and since then, it's my favorite string. Hard hitters or not, this string offers power and spin in your shots (also, a lot of comfort to be a poly). However, I must say, try to lower the tension a little. Best results comes when you strung it around 53-54 lbs (full string bed). I never tried it in a hybrid, so I don't know if it feels the same. But I used the rough version on a hybrid, and the result it's just the same: AMAZING. First choice, and the last one you would make.

Comments: I bought a Wilson blx six one 95 three days ago. The local tennis store strung the racquet with Wilson stamina strings for free. I went to play the same day and guess what? What a big deception and I even start thinking it was the racquet (no control at all). Then I strung the racquet with alu power 125 at 56 lbs., everything is back on my game, what a great strings. A lot of control, not too much power, strings always in place, highly recommended. The only thing is that I don't think they gonna last much longer like a lot of people say. Comments: I'm a junior at around national level, I play 4-5 hours a day, I had problems with my elbow and I wasn't getting enough spin. So I tried alu power rough in a hybrid with prince synthetic. It was amazing! I was able to place the ball so much better due the extra spin and control I had on the ball. Also, my elbow problems slowly went because it was a bit softer on my arm cause its a hybrid. I would recommend this string to all kinds of players, but I will say it's better in a hybrid with prince synthetic gut or even head synthetic gut because else it's too harsh on the arm. Comments: I use this string on KBlade 98, 57-58lbs. At the beginning, the string was very good. Nice power, control, feel... You can hit the spot exactly where you want (obviously you need some skill too), and big serves. However, the string seemed to lose its feel, and kind of dead after 4-5 weeks (6-8 hrs per week). This string is not forgiving on your shots and your arm too. My elbow hurts a bit after playing it for 2-3 weeks. But overall a nice string on power, control, and also durability.

Cyber Flash is good but not as good as ALU. Luxilon feels better and is a lot more tolerant of mis-hits too in that it doesn't break easily. It has a perfect power level for my style of play, which is not too powerful. I like to swing out and generate my own power. Comments: I loved this string. If you're a big hitter like me who is sick of replacing strings twice a month, this is the way to go. I play with the Ktour 95 which is a pretty powerful stick anyway. I had it strung at 56 because it's a very tight and stiff string which made it feel more like 58, 59, to help with control. I'll admit that after 8 months of the same strings the tension dropped, but not by much. It still played very well.

Comments: I am a 53 year old male with degenerative disk disease. Using this string with the racquet mentioned below, I have no neck, back, wrist, or elbow problems. I am however fairly strong! I have many racquets with the original and rough versions. I have tried different tensions with different racquets. What I have found is a great combination. I use a very dampened racquet, like the Wilson K-factor K-3, and a full bed of Luxilon string at 60 lbs. I have tried it at 55 lbs and hate it! I use a larger gauge string, but now I am going down to the 16 gauge string. I hope I like it as much as the larger string. I prefer the Ace version over the rough!

Comments: I don't know how they do it, but this string doesn't feel like other polyester strings. It somehow has a lot of power when compared to other poly strings I've tried. And it just generate so much spins for some reason that I just don't understand. It's like a magical poly string! You may want to string your racket in the high 50s or low 60s because like most poly strings, it has a high initial loss of tension. but after that, the string really settle down become very durable and keep the tension very well. I think it's a very good and cost efficient string. Definitely my favorite!

Comments: Have used this string for nearly three years now with my K-Six Tour 90 strung at 68 lbs. I wouldn't recommend to go down in string tension, the string gets "mushy" with to much power an no control. Strung at 68 the strings stay in place and don't move around. I never had any elbow problem. Fantastic control and spin on groundstrokes, and lots of power when I go for winners. Strings last for about 10-20 hours depending with whom I play. I've used to play with Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour which I liked, but I feel that there is a slight better "bite" with the Luxilon. I've also strung the K-six 90 as a hybrid with the Luxilon in the mains and Wilson Sensation 16 in the crosses, but that only lasted for about 3 hours of play. The Wilson Sensation is just at terrible string. It breaks really quickly and moves around too much.

Comments: I've tried every top string on the market just about..and spent a lot of money doing so. Here is the rundown. This string felt like you really had to hit the ball extra extra hard. Had a dampened and muted feel to it. Forget about volleying..this is not the string for that. It's a baseline string. You have to have a very strong arm indeed. Which I do have, but later that night after playing only two sets my arm and shoulder was in so much pain I almost called 911 on myself it was that bad! I'm young 27 and in great shape, I was in shock at what these strings did to my shoulder and arm. I torn something terrible! I do NOT recommend these strings. Go with a similar string called Signum Pro poly speed spin, they are cheaper and rated much better! And play ten times better than Luxilon.

Comments: Ok folks, I just tried this string on my Head Radical MP. This string VIBRATES A LOT even if you have a vibration dampener on, so all you people that have just changed to the one-handed backhand or don't hit the ball inn the sweetspot all the time might get arm or elbow problems. What it does for me is add substantial bite to spin. Comments: Having heard so much hype, what with it being the favourite of pros and all, this string is yet another proof that what suits the pros are awful for recreational players. It is stiff as hell (strung it at 52 lbs), power was okay, control was so-so, feel was non-existent, and it hurt my arm after just half an hour. I normally string my syn guts at 57-58 lbs btw. Don't know about the durability as I cut it out after two sessions. Tried it in a hybrid with Wilson Sensation 16 at 53/55, and was much better, but still noticeably stiff and uncomfortable. Worst of all, probably driven by all the hype, it costs a bomb. For the pros who have a "problem" with controlling their power and arms as thick as my calf, I can imagine the attraction, but for the rec player, stay away.

Comments: I strung this string at 52lbs full set on my Wilson K six one tour 90 (love my racquet so much). At first, I prefer the rough version due to easy for spin access. But after a few sessions, I found that the string is amazing. Durability is awesome. Never break (always do aces during serve). Some people say that this string is hard on wrist and not arm friendly. For me, if you swing with proper technique and follow the swing technique by the Pros (follow through concept), I don't see the problem like above. Warning! You must string 10% lower than normal. Previously I used Wilson Sensation 17 at 58lbs and now strung at 52lbs with this string. The string is so responsive. The downside of this string is the price. It's so expensive compares with other Poly in the market. Will choose the cheaper string after the string broke. Probably MSV strings due to its price and positive comments. Overall very impressive strings!

Comments:Couple of things to point out, first this is an awesome string if applied correctly. I tried a friends racket Babolat Original Pure Drive with this as a full setup. The most noticeable thing was that my slice and chip backhand dipped and would not come back up. The drawback is you have to take monster cuts at the ball and shots like lobs come up short. I decided to hybrid it in one of my frames the Head Microgel Radical Oversize. Here is the TRICK, you must follow Luxilon's warning about the tension. To make up for this you must string your hybrid crosses tighter than normal meaning there could be a 15lb difference between mains and crosses. This sounds crazy but if you want power and not a really sore elbow you'll heed my warning. As far as cross strings go, a wise man who strings warned me to ALWAYS hybrid w/ a mono filament cross like Forten Sweet or Prince Synthetic b/c the ALU is the dominant string and will SAW right through the crosses. I tried hybriding with Wilson NXT, NOT GOOD. It was too soft and the crosses began fraying immediately. The best cross I have come across is Prince Syn w/duraflex 16g. As far as comparing this to say Tecnifibre X One, they are not even in the same league and can't be compared IMO this is Poly and X One is nylon Multifilament.

Comments: I use Head Prestige Liquidmetal. Luxilon recommends to string at 10% less than your usual strings. So I did at 51 lbs, I WAS VERY UNHAPPY! Too loose, lots of power but no control. I cut the strings and put a new one, this time at 57 lbs, TOO LOOSE AND still NO CONTROL!!! What is wrong with this picture? I did cut them and put a new one this time at 60 lbs, this time I AM HAPPY!! Lots of control and power. Luxilon's recommendation DOES NOT WORK for me. This is a good string, but I like Tecnifibre X-One Biphase for comfort, control and power. My experience with Luxilon turned expensive but worthwhile.

Comments: I strung this as a hybrid an my k-factor 6.1 team with Wilson nxt tour 16 gauge. My power and my game has improved immensely. My serve is up by at least 10-15 mph, and my groundstrokes are all so much better. The only downside is that the string is hard on your arm, so hybrid it with a softer string, or a looser tension to soften it up. GREAT string!

Comments: Great string, lots of power, spin and control with added durability. If you constantly hitting your racquet's sweetspot, then comfort or elbow pain is not an issue at all! I use Head Prestige Liquidmetal, 5.0 player and I use ALU Power 16L in my mains (58 lbs) and Tecnifibre X-One Biphase as my cross (55 lbs) and my other Prestige I use the opposite for mains, cross and tension. Not a bad combination, you must experiment to find your ideal string combination, no rules! Comments: After trying most of the other Luxilon strings - Ace, Timo, Supersense, Original - I've settled on Original as my poly of choice when I hybrid my racquets. But after reading the reviews, and watching Federer play, I decided to give Alu a try. Whoa, it has to be one of the stiffest strings I've ever used. I strung it at the same tension as I use for Original - 52 mains and 56 Multifeel crosses on a 6.1 ncode - and I felt immediate pain in my wrist. Thinking I would get used to it I played 6 sets of singles the next two days. On the third day I couldn't even hold a racquet and my elbow was killing me. I didn't have any arm problems before using ALU. I dropped the tension down to 48/52 which was a lot easier on the arm but didn't produce as much spin. If you have a lot of racquet head speed and a arm of steel it may be the string for you.

Comments: I am currently playing nationals and such as a 14 and under junior, and let me tell, you, I am not going to switch back to anything. My very first tournament switching to this string, I won it. It feels a little slippery, but a good textured string in the crosses and you're good to go. If you can't produce spin, you probably don't hit spin anyway. Make sure to string it loosely, or it will feel like a stiff board. And since I string my own rackets, I can tell you first hand that this string is the hardest I've ever tried. It's like stringing with steel wire. I strung it at about 55, and the crosses a little bit higher.

Comments: I agree with DavidL7. Initially, I didn't think these strings were that great; until, that is, I dropped rather extremely the tension. The other day I just happened to read about someone who used to play on the pro tour, and he dropped his tension by ten pounds with Luxilon. So I decided to try it myself: I had my Ozone Pro Tour strung with a full ALU setup at 48 pounds -- in my opinion, perfect. I was shocked how well they felt and played. I couldn't be happier with these strings now, and am glad I went for such a big drop.

Comments: I was using this as the mains in my hybrid. Strung this at 59lbs; and strung my crosses, the Timo 110, an 18 gauge string at same tension and my mains broke within four hours. Great playability, great string but I'm a top junior so nothing really lasts that long for me sadly. So, if you're a good top junior who bangs balls like I do, and I mean like serve 110+ constantly, big groundies+spin then don't expect this to last very long.

Comments: I have been learning to use Luxilon for about 2 months now. You must lower the tension on these strings to get the proper feel and playability. If you're using synthetic gut, multifilament or any "softer" strings, you need to string the Luxilon at 15% +/- 3lbs lower, not 10% like Luxilon recommends. So if you're stringing at 60lbs on a 95sq/in racket, try 51 lbs. Don't be afraid to string it at lower tension. There is a reason why almost all the pros use this string. I'm a believer now.

Comments: These are my favorite strings. They are very spin and power friendly while maintaining control. About the tension loss: I string my racquets relatively high, 62 pounds with this stiff of a string and about 66 pounds on the softer ones. This allows them to loosen up a bit and still stay tight. I recommend stringing these one or two pounds higher than you usually do and then after a couple of sessions they're exactly where you want them. As for durability, I find these to be very good. I play 4 to 5 days a week for 2 to 3 hours a day and I hit with pretty good pop (about 115 on flat serves, 95 on slice and kicks and I'm not sure about the groundies, but I hit those pretty heavy, too) and heavy topspin of the forehand. It takes me about 3 weeks to a month to break these, which is great. Overall, these are the best overall strings I have found for playability and durability. I highly recommend buying them from TW also as my club sells them for twice as much. I use a Microgel Radical mp.

Comments: I tried this string last year some time in a Yonex RDX 500 mid(90) strung at 55 on the crosses and with a synthetic gut in the mains at 58, and I found after a few weeks my forehand had totally deserted me and nothing was going in at all! I was stunned by how badly I was playing. The feel of the string bed was disgraceful, and I temporarily worried my form had deserted me, maybe permanently, until I realized it the was massive tension drop on the ALU Power string. I cut it out and strung up with natural gut in the mains and a synthetic gut in the crosses (cost saving you see) and my game had returned with staggering vigor and I've not strayed from gut since, and my game continues to elevate. I do plan on trying this on the crosses though with natural gut in the mains to see if it would play better with gut. I would be expecting fireworks from that combo, but I would still expect the tension drop however.

Comments: Like many, I was really enthused about the added zip I was getting with these strings. Unfortunately, also like many, I developed tennis elbow and have shoulder soreness after using them about 2 months. At this point, I plan to string two of my racquets with something for my elbow and hold my third racquet with the Big Banger ALU as my secret weapon to be used during important matches. This may or may not work, as the racquets will play differently. However, the first day I played with these strings I played extremely well, so I think this strategy may work.

Comments: Amazing string, very forgiving, great power, control. Stuff that used to go out now goes in. It's almost like cheating! I set my tension 10 lower than usual because it isn't very elastic. It takes a toll on my elbow, and I use extreme topspin. It works best in a hybrid combo. ALU on mains and something else (cheap) on the crosses. This is definitely a budget string. It last 50x longer than any other budget string and in the end saves a ton of money. I have given up on it, though, I do not want the toll on my elbow. I most definitely recommend everyone to try it because it is truly brilliant.

Comments: Big Banger ALU Power 16L works well with my Prince 03 Tour Midplus. The frame has a soft feel and mitigates the stiffness of the Luxilon. Luxilon allows a player to take a bigger cut, generate more spin and maintain control. It does work and I have continued with the string for years. Comments: You have to try this combo! Luxilon ALU Power in the mains (56 tension) and Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour in the crosses (60 tension). This will help you so much. Who cares about expensive natural gut anymore, you have Luxilon! The only difference is the feel in my opinion. Natural gut is better for feel than Luxilon, but the Pro Hurricane in this hybrid makes up for it. Just give it a shot. It's worth it. And, if it doesn't feel up to your standards (which it won't) at least you didn't spend all of your extra money on natural gut.

Comments: The first time I used them they were amazing. On my serves they really cut into the ball to create a lot of spin. But, as a lot of people on here have said, the tension dropped significantly in just a couple days and the performance goes with it. I can't get the spin on my serves like I was getting on the first day. When it comes to durability, they are quite amazing in my opinion. I'm a high school tennis coach so I play every day during the season and they didn't show any signs of wear or tear after 2.5 months. Besides the tension loss, they still are good strings and are very playable even after the tension loss. You just won't be able to do things with them that you could do the first day or two.

Comments: I started using Luxilon ALU Power Rough (Main and Cross) about 7 months ago. I remember when I first started using them how amazed I was at how many points I was winning because of them. Now I take it for granted. I have none of the wrist, arm and shoulder problems many complain of. I am 53 years old and have had these problems in the past but not caused by strings or equipment but by poor technique. I suggest those with these problems see a good physiotherapist, rest and recover and then find a good tennis coach.

It shrinks the sweet spot of your potential racket and gives a ridiculous stiff feeling. If your going to use it either string it really low or like hybrid it with gut. How can anyone like this stuff? Maybe I just strung it too high on my FXP prestige. It was 56 pounds by the way. This stuff is stiff. Control is so much that you don't get any. I know that sounds like an oxymoron but like the strings require so much power that you possibly hit your hardest every single shot. My racket was a 18/20 pattern by the way guys.

Comments: I've used this for about a 1-1/2 years and although it allows you to really swing away, I never was the benefactor of this "amazing" durability everyone chatters about. Here are the facts from my experiences: - After 1 match, tension has dropped by 12-15% from initial string tension. - Durability sucks. I consistently break 2 mains every 3 matches. - This is a PRO string. PRO's don't have to deal with tension loss or breakage, because they cut them out after every match regardless of if they hit one ball with them. In saying all of that, I will say that this is probably the best string I've used - ever. I'm willing to live with the aforementioned nuances for the great feel, power and control this string provides.

Comments: Good string if you want to retain the tension for a longer period! It's a bit harsh on your arms and elbow. Once you get used to this one you wont look for another string. I would recommend this one for the heavier rackets (>295g) like AeroPro Drive Cortex and K Six One Tour 90. Be careful with the string tension - higher tension might cause problems.

Comments: I have been stringing racquets since 1984, and this is the first string that delivered as advertised! The question is; how low will you go? I mean don't be afraid to lower your tension way down. I say lower than the 10% recommendation. I used to be a "the tighter the better guy" stringing 3 to 5 lbs above recommended tension but that's all changed now. Its crazy but try 10 lbs down. Experiment. Go as low as you can, while still being able to keep the ball on the court, and you have it. So much controllable power you will not believe your game. Approach shots hitting the corners, volleys crisp and hard, such power from the ground... just like you always wanted. Currently, I'm using AUL 16L in mains and any 16g syn gut; I have lying around, in the crosses. You need to really commit to the shot and take a big swing to see the advantages. HIT THE BALL EARLY. Your taking a bigger swing now and you don't want to hurt your elbow. If you're a hacker forget everything I said, this string is not for you. But if you hit the ball, this string will let you really hit the ball.

Comments: I've tried many brands of strings before, the BB Alu Power is the most durable strings I've used without sacrificing feel. I first tried using the mains and crosses with the BB, but found to be too stiff on the arm and shoulder. Currently I'm using Gamma TNT2 Pro Plus as the cross and it's quite nice. Comments: The Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power 16L is simply amazing. I strung it on both the mains and crosses at 60lbs on my liquid metal radical (I wanted to up the tension to 63 but I was advised not to). Regardless, I was definitely worried about the possibility of the string being rather stiff, but I did not find that to be true- in fact, I found that there was a perfect feel to the string (it suits me perfectly!) I am now able to swing as hard as I could possibly ever imagine and not have to worry about hitting any balls that just barely miss the baseline. Before I forget, the string adds an impressive deal of topspin and the strings do not move out of place whatsoever (I even had to spend a whole five minutes trying to fit my dampener on the strings!) Overall, I would definitely use no other string other than the Big Banger ALU Power 16L.

Comments: I have tried these strings on 2 separate occasions, 6 months from each other to be exact. I can feel the difference compared to my regular nylons because these strings allow me to take big cuts on the ball, and yet the ball still falls in the court. If I tried doing the same with my nylons, the balls would definitely hit the fence. Probably the only downside to all this "new found" shot making is getting sore in my elbow, shoulder and wrists. Since the string is much tougher than nylon, and you take bigger cuts on the ball than usual, this is what I end up with. I would probably use this string selectively, most likely during tournaments. Otherwise, if it's daily use or for practice, I would rather go with my trusty nylons.

Comments: I love this stuff! A friend/former tour player recommended it to me. The strings always snap back into place by themselves. It lets you rip at the ball without fear of it sailing away. Excellent spin/ bite, and personally I love the feel. I think it's as soft as you'll find without using natural gut. Plus, it lasts forever. You'll cut it out before you break it, but you won't need to do that for a long time, either.

Comments: I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like this string is very soft. Even though it is polyester, the aluminum inside (hence the name ALU power) probably makes it soft. If you are thinking about stringing your racquet with the ALU power, I would recommend that you string it in both the mains and crosses. You'll get enough feel, plenty of spin, and so-so power. If you hybrid this racquet, you would unnecessarily increase the feel of the racquet and lose power.

Comments: I'm willing to give this string a little longer, but it's not for me. I'm using a Bab Storm with this at 55lbs and I'm struggling. There is most definitely more power, which I'm finding difficult to keep in regularly as the feel is a little duller. I'm wondering if the string is heavier as the swing feels different too? Maybe I'm odd! Was going a foot out, now I'm down to six inches out. The feel on groundstrokes is not as good as the Xcel Premium I was using, but I would say that volleying is better, if I don't go mad. Biggest disappointment is the buzzing in my 4th and 5th fingers and the shoulder/arm ache. Don't seem to be able to get as much spin as the Xcel... but I will give it a little longer!

Comments: I used to string my racquet (Wilson Blade) with Signum Pro Poly-Plasma @ 58lb, but my elbow started to hurt. So I decided to try Luxlon Alu Power @ 55lb. It's the best string I ever used. I'm a base line player, my level is 4.5. I can hit the ball harder, with more precision as well, and my elbow is ok. The string does not run and it doesn't loose any tension at all. This string certainly increases the quality of your game.

Comments: This string works very well in terms of power. I used it as a main with a Gamma Live Wire XP 17 as a cross. Comparing to multi-filament string such as a Tecnifibre X-one Biphase or a Gamma Live Wire XP, I felt popping out when the ball meets stringbed, which is incredible for such stiff string. Though I am not a hard hitter or spin doctor, I think it works for me. Because I am using a flexible racquet (Prince Tour Diablo MP), comfort issue is not a problem. However, I must take time to use a touch shot with this string.

Comments: Amazing strings!!! I hit at least 10+ mph harder now! I can smack the ball and not have to pray that it will go in. Be wary though, stringing with all polyester can be rough on your arm. I only strung my racket (o3 white) at 56 and I'm still feeling a little soreness. I'm going tough it out because it hits so nicely! Also, I'd put a vibration dampener on. I hate the "gong" sound this string makes and my handle shakes too, but when you put a dampener on, all you hear is a nice thunk.
