Comments: I loved this match. It's so rare now to see a player try to get into the net as soon as possible, and particularly against a baseliner of Agassi's caliber. There's some astonishingly quick stroke play and improvisation from both of them, but to me, it's a gem because it shows Pat Rafter at his best, and how entertaining the great serve-volley stylists were to watch. (Did anyone tape Tony Roche v John McEnroe in the final of Queens 1978? Would have loved to watch that).

Comments: Quite possibly one of the best matches at Wimbledon since the
Borg vs. McEnroe encounters. Rafter sought redemption since his defeat to Agassi the
previous year and got it in a thrilling match. The contrast of Rafter's serve and volleying and
Agassi's baseline shot ability made the match an unforgettable one.
