Tennis Warehouse

Customer feedback

Comments: The many comments about these shoes making your toes go numb are true. I tried to make these work, but even with my narrow feet, the toe box was too stiff. These are the worst pair of tennis shoes I've purchased.

Comments: This is an excellent tennis shoe! They are light yet stable, supportive and comfortable. I previously had the blue ones and before that I always used KSwiss as they were the only shoes available in Ireland with the omni soles. Now that I live in the states I was delighted to try the Asics tennis shoe and would definitely buy them again. I play competitive 4.0 level on hard courts, am hard wearing on shoes and play at least 4 times a week. My blue ones did me through my entire pregnancy carrying extra weight and held up beautifully. Overall I would recommend this shoe.

Comments: I had to return these shoes for a sole warranty replacement after 4 months. The sole on the right shoe wore entirely through. I am thankful that Tennis Warehouse is replacing the shoe...but it is a one time replacement per purchased pair. They fit well and were very comfortable, but I will not buy another pair. Time to try something else.

Comments: I bought these back in March. They have tons of cushioning and nice support. But, the toe box is so stiff. I played 3-4 times a week in these and my toes still go numb. I am looking for a new pair.
From: Deb, Hollis, NH USA. 09/10

Comments: I had high hopes when I ordered these shoes as I have the Asics' walking shoe and love it. Unfortunately, as I have a wide foot this shoe was definitely not wide enough in the fore foot. Other than that it appeared to be a nice shoe.
From: Kathleen, Ocala, FL

Comments: For those that like a wide toe panel, forget these shoes. Nice looking, but squeezes those toes and I have a narrow foot.
From: Judi, Cape Vincent, NY, USA, 08/10

Comments: This shoe is very supportive. It holds your foot very snug. When your foot is very narrow it can be hard to find a shoe. My foot is very narrow and this shoe helps fit my foot well. The only negative about the shoe is it takes a while to break in. After a few days on the tennis court they should be feeling great!

Comments: This is a great all around tennis shoe. It's very comfortable, great cushioning, lightweight, runs true-to-size, no break-in required, good ventilation, great traction on clay or hard courts, and most importantly it is very supportive for people with high arches. I've had many bouts of plantar fasciitis, and I've had no problems with PF with this shoe. The only negative is the shoestrings are not long enough.
From: Patty, Richmond, VA, USA. 6/10

Comments: I loved the last version of this shoe - the new version is a total disappointment. My heel slips all over the place. The shoes feel larger than my last pair and heavier too. My foot moves around a lot and are harder to maneuver. The older version of this shoe was CLEARLY SUPERIOR!
From: Judy, Texas, USA. 04/10

Comments: This shoe is very comfortable, but felt a half size too long! I wear ASICS running shoes which I always get a half size bigger, but didn't need any additional length in these. This model is much improved in terms of comfort and support, compared to other ASICS tennis shoes. I had to return mine because a smaller size was out of stock.

Comments: I just got this shoe a week ago and I absolutely love it! It doesn't take too much break in time and it fits really comfortable! It really gives a lot of support!
From: Lauren, Alabama, United States 01/10

Comments: Light weight shoe that offers good traction on clay. This shoe is too wide for my narrow foot. The tongue slips all the time. Break in required. Hot and wet shoe. Back to Prince's T10 for best fit. Not ideal for me.
From: Heidi, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 01/10

Comments: Great fit and comfortable right away. I'm at 3.5 and play 3 times/week. The shoe feels very stable with lateral movements, and is lightweight. I think I'll order a 2nd pair. Love the bright colors!
From: Alice, Olympia, WA, USA. 10/09

Comments: I loved the last version of this shoe - the new version is a total disappointment. My heel slips all over the place and they just feel larger than my last pair. Agree with Tracy - my foot moves around a lot - the tongue is awkward, I feel like the shoes don't lace in such a way to hold my foot still without cutting off circulation. Looks like I'm reluctantly switching brands.

Comments: I chose these Asics for the same reason as most...love their running shoes. The toe box is a little stiff but breaks in over time. I've had my pair for about 6 months and now that they feel great on my feet, there's barely any tread left on the bottom. Are there any tennis shoes out there that are comfortable AND will last?
From: Laurie, Roswell, GA, USA. 7/09

Comments: I have been a committed Price shoe player for a number of years. I decided to give the Asics Gel Revolution 2 a try because of the companies great reputation in the running shoe industry. No complaints regarding fit, arch support, weight, stability, and overall comfort, but the outer sole is gone after less than two months of play. Not long enough for my money. So much for the "ASICS High Abrasion Resistant Rubber" on the hard courts in northern CA. FYI, 6 month sole guarantees don't last 6 months on my feet either, but usually 5. I play tournament level 4.0 tennis and am on the court 5-6 days a week. I'm back in my trusty Prince MV4's for the foreseeable future.
From: Jeff, Sacramento, CA, USA. 05/09

Comments: Not the shoe for me. I bought this shoe because it was very comfortable and had great support and Asics is all I wear for running. Since I love my running shoes I thought I would try the court shoe for my tennis game. I played in this shoe for the first time and after about 10 minutes of playing I rolled my ankle. Fortunately it is a sprain. Anyways, if you are mildly aggressive on your feet this is not the shoe for you. Be careful.
From: Julie, Clinton Twp, MI, USA. 05/09

Comments: I've always worn Asics running shoes and when I started playing tennis. I immediately went for the Asics Gel Resolution which I loved. But having just bought a pair of Gel Resolution II I'm going to have to find another tennis shoe. Asics have subtly changed the design on the support on the inside of the forefoot on the Gel Resolution II so that the shoe cuts painfully into your big toe joint every time you go onto your toes. Might not be an issue if you have a narrower foot when it will only pinch. Try before you buy!
From: Kalli, Cocoa Beach, FL, USA. 04/09

Comments: These shoes are the most comfortable I have worn. Lightweight and very supportive. I can move very quickly in them Didn't require any break in. The gel in the heel molds to my foot and they feel like they were made for me.
From: Maria, New York, NY, USA. 04/09

Comments: I am happy with these shoes. The shoe needs to be worn around the house to break in the toe box before you hit the court. Excellent cushioning and they have enough room in them to accommodate my orthotics. Great support on the court chasing balls from all angles. I am on my second pair with the Asics Gel Resolution 2.
From: Stephanie, Glen Allen, VA, USA. 04/09

Comments: This is my second favorite tennis shoe of all those I've ever tried. Nike Breathe Free II is still #1. These are the closest I've come to those, although they are in fact much different. Mainly, they are lower to the ground. They have a softness and spring greater than any shoe I've tried maybe even the BFII: way better than Air Vapor IV or V; better than Barricade. You put on a Vapor or Barricade and then a Gel Resolution, you will immediately notice the difference. If you play 10 hours per week or more, you'll probably also notice a difference in the amount of pain you feel in certain parts of your legs. These shoes feel light and fast. The price is also lower than a new pair of Nike or Adidas, though with the new prices on BFII sale, I guess those are even cheaper than the newest Gel Resolution.
From: Jerome, Princeton, NJ, USA. 04/09

Comments: Very comfortable, lightweight, good arch support. Slightly more break-in required than my Asics running shoes, but well worth it. Better than anything out there right now for the competitive player.
From: Rosie, No. Andover, MA. 4/09

Comments: I've purchased all the Nikes (breath, ballistics, and vapor V) and they don't compare to these Asics. This is my first time purchasing these and what I love is the fact that I don't develop any blisters. On the other hand, my Nikes would give me blisters on both feet after matches. Also, I have pretty wide feet and the Asics fit comfortably. I rely on my speed and I was able to change direction without slipping with the Asics. If you are an aggressive hardcourt baseliner, these are the shoes for you!

NTRP Rating: 4.5

Comments: The popping noise is actually due to the rubber on the top of the toebox, I noticed it when I tied my laces too tight, so when you bend at the balls of your feet the rubber makes a popping noise since the rubber pad doesn't have anywhere to go. Absolutely has no effect on the performance. I got around this by tightening every lace other than the first set. Awesome shoe, I've worn barricades for 5+ years, definitely not going back to adidas, Asics are better than you think!
From: Alex, Orange County, CA. 04/09

Comments: Like the idea of lightweight shoe. However it's very stiff in the forefoot was hurting my big toes right and left. Would not recommend out of the box comfort.
From: Roxanne, New Braunfels, TX. 3/09

Comments: This is a very stiff shoe. It runs a little large for me and I feel like my foot moves around in it. The tongue keeps slipping to the side. I love Asics running shoes but, this is my last pair of Asics tennis shoes. I am going back to adidas or Nike.
From: Tracy, Keller, TX, USA. 2/09

Comments: Very comfortable, lightweight, and no break-in period needed....but they're kind of cheap looking in-person.
