Comments: These are extremely comfortable and arguably durable shoes. They are great on hard courts, give you great traction and comfort and control. They don't make your feet tired even after hours of playing. But these shoes are absolutely useless on clay. Although the outsole looks really rugged and looks to give you great traction and grip, the pattern of each grid is in fact so thick that it doesn't grip into the clay soil. It's like wearing a flat pair of leather shoes and playing tennis. Never buy these if you are gonna play on clay, otherwise it's gonna feel like you are skating on a clay rink.

Comments: These shoes were surprisingly good. Held up very well over a six month period. Very comfortable too. Seemed to adjust to my foot. Just spilled kool aid on them so i think it is time for a new pair.

Comments: This shoe required a slight break-in to fit my arches, but that is normal for me given my foot type. These shoes breathe okay, they aren't sweatboxes, but they aren't as good as many other shoes. The traction is incredible. Literally the best traction on any tennis shoes ever, bar none. Unfortunately, this great traction is combined with poor ankle support. Therefore, the shoe allows you to start and stop harder and faster, but without the support, I tore my ankles up. I have braces now, so the problem is somewhat resolved, but I would recommend these to people who love traction but don't need a ton of support and a ton of breathability.

Comments:The shoe is actually very comfortable right out of the box. The performance is good with great traction. After 3 hours of tennis my feet only get slightly sore. Two things that would prevent me from buying this shoe again. 1) The tongue is too high and does not stay centered, 2) The shoe is a bit too low and does not provide enough ankle support.

Comments:Purchased based on feedback on this shoe and from TW phone reps (very helpful, btw). They spoke highly of the brand. Glad I listened. An excellent shoe. Great support and traction. Actually looks better out of the box than in the pic. After a set or two, you won't even realize you're wearing them. That's the ultimate compliment for a tennis shoe, isn't it.

Comments: No disappointments here, a solid shoe, I bought 2 pairs.

Comments: A very comfortable shoe. The biggest drawback is that the company forgot to put an additional hole at the top of the shoe so you can tighten it, enabling your foot to "sit" firm. The shoe loosens after minutes of wearing.

Comments: I bought this shoe last week through mail order. I live in Canada and last Friday was the first chance that I had to get out and play. The shoe arrived at noon and I played at 5:30. The first time that I put it on was at the court! This shoe felt like I had worn it for half a season. There were no stiff parts that needed to break-in at all. My feet have not felt so great in years. There was no sliding on the hard court at all and they gave great cushion and support. I played with Asics a few years ago, and never should have switched to the swoosh, but I will now stick with Asics!! Great shoe, looks great and feels great!!

Comments: Great shoe. True to size and very comfortable. These shoes feel a bit heavy and do not have much ankle support but are far superior to other shoes I have tried. I can say that Asics will now be my shoe of choice.

Comments: This is the best shoe I have ever played in. I am very glad Asics are continuing the shoe under the new name. With the lower profile and good lateral support, my foot feels stable when playing.

Comments: Yes!!! The Gel Enqvist is back... under a different name. This is the greatest performance shoe ever. So expect a comfortable, well-cushioned and light shoe, but no durability. Why not call them Asics Gel Gasquet instead of Asics Gel Encourage? In fact Gasquet has been wearing the Asics Gel Enqvist for a couple of years now so that makes sense (as long as Gasquet is wearing them of course).
