Asics Gel Challenger Women's Shoes Customer feedback

Comments: I've had these about a year, and they still kind of rub my pinky toes. But not to cause blisters, and of course the cushioning is great and the arch support is great (I have a medium arch), and they're super comfortable. I did not have to get a different size from my normal athletic shoe size, and they fit great. Just, after playing for about an hour and a half, my pinky toes start to rub. Maybe I should play faster games! From: Val, Plano, TX, USA, 08/08 Comments: These shoes are fantastic. I have a rather narrow foot but tried them anyway even though they only come in medium width. I usually wear New Balance in narrow but they have redesigned them and they no longer fit me properly. These Asics are very supportive and cushiony and did require some wearing in. They look great, and seem to be comfortable, but due to the majority of the feedback, I ordered a half size up and I am swimming in them. I even added extra ped support, and still can't fill them. I wear ASICS for running and they're great, but this shoe feels very flat in the toe box and slows me down. I play singles 2 or 3 times a week at 3.5, both clay and hard courts. My last K-Swiss pair gave me blisters, and this shoe turned them all into calluses, which is what I like. The more you wear them the better they are. Its like they start molding to your feet. The lip does not move, it does not eat my socks, and my heel stays secure (even though when you first put them on it feels as though it does not support your heel). The ventilation is not perfect, but I have yet to find a shoe that has good ventilation. I have high arches and they fulfill them, but also feel like they would be fine for normal arches. My normal shoe size is a 7 to 7 1/2 but I had to order these in 8 1/2, which is what I normally get in all athletic shoes. The best part of these shoes is the traction. It is great. I have used them for over a week, almost every day for 2 1/2 hours and they have no wear. They still even squeak a little when I stop, but don’t make a sudden stop move my toe to the tip of the shoe. They do get a little dirty b/c they are all white, but it is not bad for how great the shoes are. I play on hard courts, and can’t feel them when I run, not heavy. Asics Gel Challengers are light and flexible and great support. I ordered a half size up from my normal size and already back to order another pair. Also wanted support for a slight pronation (inward roll of the foot) as well as support for a bad knee. These shoes fit the bill for all the above and at a great price. These shoes rank up there with the $100 pairs made by other brands. I'll certainly buy another Asics court shoe in the future.
