Comments: I found these shoes to be an average overall shoe. I play 5 days a week for about 2 hours each day. I found them durable, and they offer good support. It's also a very lightweight shoe. The major downside for me was the toe box. To me it seemed very tight in the toe area, causing rubbing on both of my pinky toes. Also the soles are not very thick, so on hot days your feet tend to get very hot and uncomfortable.

Comments: I just received a pair via mail order and would say that it feels like a very good shoe for the price with good cushioning and nice and light. I have found that the sizing is generous. I normally wear a size 9 shoe and size 10 trainer, and having got the 10s in these the were a bit big compared to my current Nike. Not a big problem as I sorted out with an insole and they now fit nice and snug, but the 9 1/2 might have been a better fit. Hopefully it will stop raining soon and I can go try them out!

Comments: Compared to the Asics running shoes, these are so uncomfortable. Overall these shoes are OK for a fairly cheap price. I still recommend the barricades.

Comments: I use ASICS for running. So, I decided to try these after reading other feedback comments. ASICS has hit it "out of the park" with these shoes. Great cushion and they do not feel "chunky" like the Barricade Vs I just tossed out.

Comments: I just bought my second pair of these shoes. I've been very happy with the fit, feel and performance of these shoes. I also like the classic styling. I did replace the cushioned insole with some Superfeet, which I believe adds some support and stability, but I'd do that with any of my shoes. This is a great fit for me right out of the box (I've got relatively low volume feet). I play 2-3 times per week at 4.5-5.0 level), and I'm just now wearing through the soles, which is not too bad considering how light weight these puppies are. Again - a very light, cushioned and comfortable shoe that plays low to the ground. I highly recommend these puppies. I find it interesting to note that every review of these shoes is positive, which says something. This is a top shelf shoe for a decent price.

Comments:Bought these because of the reviews, like the shoe, but I made a mistake, I wear a size 8 (normally K-Swiss Ultrascendor 7.0), the Asics size 8 was too narrow, and doesn’t seem to want to stretch. Maybe I should’ve bought 1/2 size larger. Anyway good shoes, but too tight. Next time I'll go to a store and buy my first pair from them. For now I'm going to order another pair (my 10th) of K-Swiss 7.0.

Comments: I have been running in ASICS for more than 20 years and never switched. I'm in heaven that I now have ASICS tennis shoes that feel like my running shoes. I'm a 3.5 player and depend on my quickness in a match. These shoes are a perfect with trusted fit right out of the box. Lateral movement is no problem, and the shoe is fast and durable! Keep producing them, and I'll keep buying them!

Comments: I made the first review here and now for almost a year I have had the same pair, and they still feel as if they are brand new. I really love these shoes. Whenever you put your foot into the shoe, it fits perfectly just as if you bought it perfectly molded to your foot. I play twice a week, sometimes more, and tournaments occasionally, and here I am about 9 months later still loving this shoe as much as I did on day one. Again as I said before this shoe feels the you're walking on air. Asics, this is your best shoe I have ever tried on and the best shoe overall. I highly recommend this shoe to everyone.

Comments: Finally, Asics, you did it. You designed the perfect shoe with comfort and durability. From day one, it fits like a glove. I tried Nike, Adidas, K-Swiss and New Balance. Although theses are great shoe brands, I must admit none of them will come even close to the quality of Asics. Bravo.

Comments: Knowing Asics from its well-known reputable running shoes, I decided to give it a try with Ascis Gel-Challenger, and I'm extremely happy with my decision. They're extremely comfortable as soon as I slip my feet in. They have plenty of cushioning, and they're so light. They run true to size. They fit my narrow feet perfectly. They're very low to the ground and stable. They look great, and have I mentioned they're cheaper than those of top-of-the-line Nike & Addidas?
I've tried Nike Vapor IV, Nike Breath II, and Addidas Barricade II, and none of them as comfortable and light as Asics Gel-Challenger. Definitely a winner. I'd highly recommend Ascis Gel-Challenger to anyone.

Comments: OK - no joke, these are the best tennis shoes I have ever placed on my feet. These shoes are so comfortable and light, it's ridiculous. I've always worn New Balance, but was not so impressed by the latest reviews of the 1002 (I previously owned the 1001). So I decided to give Asics a try after reading the great reviews. I was pleasantly surprised to find so much comfort. I agree with a previous reviewer, that it feels like the court is not even beneath your feet. Such a smooth ride, and plenty of stability. Love the lightweight and glove like feel. I will order a couple of more - Bravo Asics! My feet feel like heaven out there on the court.

Comments: I play about 10 hours a week and I agree with some of the comments. It is a very lightweight shoe, excellent comfort and no break in required. I have only used it about a month but no significant wear on sole yet. Definitely one I am going to use for a long time. I just bought three more pairs

Comments: So far so good. Light and low to the ground and very comfortable. Little to no break-in required - yet seems to offer good support. Classic good looks to boot. I'm pretty picky about shoes - but am quite pleased so far. Too early to comment on durability - but when deciding to purchase, I noted that one other reviewer seemed to be pleased with the overall durability.

Comments: Bravo! These are the best tennis shoes I ever have. You can find in it everything you want in a great tennis shoe: stability, cushioning, traction, comfort, light weight, long life? (no idea on this yet because I just wore it once). It gloves my feet so well even for the first time I played in it and it required absolutely no break-in as what was advertised. I like especially the stitch-like holes on the toe area. These holes help in the ventilation, thus lowering the temperature inside and help avoiding blisters, yet maintaining the look of classic tennis shoes.

Comments: I play in regional tournaments every other weekend and practice 6 days a week. Because of this, I burn through a pair of shoes every one and a half months, (depending on the shoe). I have to say that these shoes were the first pair to be fine after two months. These shoes are extremely comfortable and the shock-absorption is great. These shoes have been better than any Nike, Adidas, Fila or Diadora shoes I have ever owned. Highly recommended to any player looking for supportive yet durable and lightweight sneakers.
