Comments: The Challenger 7s are a big step up from the old Challeger 6s. Much more stability and support, but still light weight. Good traction and low to the ground. Also very comfortable after you break them in - which takes 2-3 sessions. The shoes are comfy out of the box, but they don't fully conform to your foot till after the 1st couple of hard sessions. The uppers and the inside hold up well, but I do drag my toe on my backhand and serve, so I tend to wear thru the sole at the toe. I'm on my 4th pair. The good news is that TW has a 6 mos sole warranty - so it's 2 for 1 - GOOD DEAL. These are being replaced by a new iteration. I loaded up while on sale.

Comments: The Asics Gel Challenger 7s are my shoe of choice. They require a couple of sessions before they totally conform to your foot - at which point they fit my feet like a glove. These 7s provide more support, more heel cushioning and the sole wears a bit better than the previous edition, though I still wear through the toe after several months of use. Luckily these shoes now come with a 6 month sole warranty which makes them a good value imo. Haven't tried the top end resolutions - probably nice as well, but these are pretty darn good and obviously a bit less expensive.

Comments: Got these shoes a month ago and love them. Very comfortable and great feel on the court. My feet are a bit wide and these shoes fit very well.

Comments: Loved them initially. Almost turned them into lawn cutting shoes, but after 3 good 2-hour sessions in hot weather they finally came into their own. I love the traction on Red Clay and Har-Tru, something the Head Prestige Pros and some of the Nike were a total disaster on. They are lightweight and durable (at least on clay). I'm curious to try their Gel Resolution... but I'd certainly buy these again.

Comments: I had purchased the Asics Challenger 7 about 7 months ago and they are by far the best tennis shoe I have ever owned. They give me a lot of support and do equally well on either clay or hard court.

Comments: Good shoe for a good price, very comfortable. I've always worn adidas now I switched.
From: justin. 5/10

Comments: My objective was to purchase a shoe that absorbed the shock on my heel from a hard court. I have now played 5 matches and remain with a problem of a pinch point on the left side of the toe. The shoe is very stiff as others have mentioned. There is some cushion for the heel but it seems to be too far back to provide the required shock absorption. Unless the shoe changes with more play I probably will not purchase another.

Comments: These shoes are great. They have good support and are light weight. They would be best if you mainly play on clay because after 2 weeks on hard courts I got a hole in them. I had to buy them 1/2 a size smaller or my heel would slide out.

Comments: Light-weight shoes. Took a while to break in. However, after that they were very comfortable with good ankle support (I had a torn Achilles). Roomy toe box. Sole lasts well too. Inside padding in heel cup wears quickly but still snug fit without blistering. Looking for second pair.

Comments: I used to wear ADIDAS Barricades (hard courts) and ADIDAS CC Feather (clay courts), and I kept having heel and calf pain after I played and I even stretched before and after playing. I took a chance and ordered a pair of Challenger 7s, mostly due to the feedback from TW customers, and I saw an immediate improvement after one time on the court wearing them. I tried them on clay courts and they work equally as well there. My body feels great after playing and it all starts from "the bottom up!" I just got my third pair today and plan to wear Asics exclusively. Thanks to all the people that have left comments, since you were the ones that convinced me to try Asics!

Comments: I loved this shoe. Great combination between lightweight and stability. Only down side is you can wear them down, but will enjoy them.

Comments: Horrible. My heel keeps falling out of the shoe. I can literally step out of the shoe at will. Its ridiculous, I don't understand how anyone can like this shoe.

Comments: This shoe is very light and maneuverable. However, after two months of playing twice a week I have wore holes in the sole area of both shoes in the toe area.

Comments: Very comfortable shoe, but durability is a major issue. Shoe is light, molds to your feet well, cushioning is great, but shoe lasted only two weeks before I wore a hole in the front right toe area.

Comments: Very comfortable shoe and extremely light. Problem is durability is absolutely terrible. I played one tournament and one other match for a total of 4 matches (maybe 10 hours court time) and have already worn a hole in the front part of the shoe. If you can afford to purchase a new pair every two weeks then this is your shoe.

Comments: I've found these shoes to be a good combination of weight and right protection. I'm a player with narrow feet and this shoe is, for me, was comfortable from the first hour!! The cushioning is good and I'm very satisfied!

Comments: This shoe is very stiff at first but once you break it in, it is very comfortable. It also has excellent traction. Definitely the best shoe I have ever used.
From: Matt, North Carolina, USA. 2/09

Comments: I expected this shoe to be very comfortable, but it is too narrow and very stiff. I wanted to try an Asics shoe after hearing how great they are for runners. So far I am not a fan. I find Reebok shoes to have great cushion, but recently I developed some foot pain wearing them. This shoe seems to have helped my foot pain, but it is not comfortable and definitely requires a break-in period.
