Comments: I had to return these shoes. The soles were so stiff, I could not move on the court. At a size 15, the shoes were also so heavy I couldn't move quickly.

Comments: The first time I went shopping for actual tennis shoes, I narrowed my choices down to the Barricade 5 and these shoes. In the end, I ended up buying the Barricade 5's. Of course the Barricades are awesomely stable shoes but when first comparing both shoes, the Court Ballistecs felt so much more comfortable. I now have a pair of Ballistecs and these shoes are probably the best shoes I have ever worn in my life. I broke them in by walking around school on the first day. In these shoes, the stability is awesome. Around school, the first week back after Christmas, I found myself slipping on the stairs and I caught myself from falling every time. On the court, this shoe has so much action. Reminicent of Nadal's heavy baseline play, I believe my speed has increased a little bit and sliding is so much easier to do in these than the Barricades. My sliding recovery time is great too when I'm pushing out points. I'm able to spin in my slide and get to the next ball. The only downside with these shoes is the foot pains which come from intense playing. After playing, your feet feel sore and heavy, which is understandable given the intensity of your game but after resting/sleeping, your feet should be ready for game time. My shoe size is a 10.5 and I got a pair in my regular size and it fits perfectly. Again, probably the best athletic shoes ever.

Comments: Great shoe! No major flaws except they are a little narrow for my foot. On my second pair I'm going to give the 2.3s a try.

Comments: Great shoe, I wear to play in the same shoe only in the Pink and Gray, I found this shoe to be even more narrow than those. So I would ditch the go smaller suggestion they make and go maybe a size larger to make up for how narrow it is. I actually went up a size, but they are very comfortable and feel great on the court.

Comments: Right out of the box, the shoe looked really fierce. First used it in summer and it took about 3 hrs to break the shoe in. I went half a size smaller with my toes touching the front. But it stretches in awhile and have no such problems anymore. The uppers are really comfortable and the sole seems to be rather flat and it spreads out getting you as much traction as possible. I especially like the part where some part of the midsole touches the ground. I play mostly in 30+ deg celsius and have no problem with ventilation. The downside is that on the ball of the sole (box looking rubber), one of the box broke off from my sole in just 3 hrs of play. And the shoe actually expanded alittle bigger than my feet now. Making me slide alittle inside. If I'm honest, its still a great buy. It will almost get full marks from me. With the discount now, even better.

Comments: Nike really lives up to its claims, SPEED & STABILITY! I am never a fan of NIKE Tennis shoes until I decided to give it one more try, and I was not disappointed this time. I'm getting a new pair of the new Air Ballistec very SOON! Great Job NIKE.

Comments: Originally got these in the Gray/Pink French Open colorway in 11.5; Now I have both the White/Navy and Gray/Pink versions in my regular size 12. I didn't find these shoes to be half-a-size larger; maybe more like a 1/4, but at that point, what's the difference? (get your regular size in these). These shoes are tanks- they are soft inside but they do feel a bit too sturdy. Court gripping was not an issue for me, but I'd need to try these out in warm weather.

Comments: After wearing these shoes for about 6 hours, they seem to be the best tennis shoes I've had in recent memory. They fit very snug (even for my narrow feet). I was not a big fan of the Breathe Free Series, but these shoes are a little lower to the ground and lighter. Slides a little on hard courts, not a big deal though. Sizing was not an issue. I'm in between sizes 11.5 and 12, 11.5 fits perfectly. So if you're between sizes, choose the smaller option. Break in time was hardly necessary. Walk around in them for ten minutes and they'll be alright on the court.

Comments: I've never worn a shoe like this. Like an Adidas Barricade with a pillow crammed inside. Your foot feels super stable in these. One weird thing is that it's kind of easy to slip in them--can't figure out why yet. I thought nothing could ever top Asics Gel Resolution or Nike Breathe Free II--these might do it though.

Comments: Overall great shoe. Great durability. However, they do tend to lack some feeling because they're sort of stiff. I played with Vapor V's and felt those broke in much easier and allowed me to have much more feel for the court with my legs. This shoes nonetheless are very comfortable and allow for greater stability in the ankle I felt.

Comments: I like the low to ground and over all look but everything ends there. Currently using cage II with insole and two socks for additional cushioning. This one is kind of narrow from front and upper is not very comfortable as cage II. I can wear 1.5 size large in cage II but 1.3 sizing is off. My regular size fit tight from front & up.

Comments: I thought I'd switch to another shoe from barricades just to see what's out there so I bought a pair of these today. Hit for an hour and found them to be very comfortable and light compared to the B-Vs. Very nice shoes, nice fit, I recommend them.

Comments: Try on first. I'm a size 12 ordered a 12 and they fit very well. I have wide feet with no arch. Thats what a lifetime of tennis does. They don't grip the court as well as some shoes. So if you play on slick fast concrete courts, use caution.

Comments: This is by far - the best tennis shoe on the market; I've tried Adidas Barricade (lacks cushion) and Feather IV (lacks cushion + lateral support). Nike CourtBallistec 1.3 has the best cushion + lateral support for heavy hitting grinder like myself; one thing I've learned is you need the right shoe to avoid injury and this is the best shoe for it!

Comments: Really good shoes I am falling in love with them. xoxoxox.

Comments: This is a really great shoe. My other shoe, is the Nike Vapor Zoom Tour and it wore through in like 4 weeks. QUICK!! But i switched to these and they feel great!! Especially when you get into those positions when you need to slide, you will slide like Rafa does on the clay. It even made me feel a little more confident in my game play.

Comments: I did not find them to be a 1/2 size to large. Be careful when ordering.

Comments: I bought the turquoise-pink-electrolime (what Nike calls that funny yellow color) French Open version of this shoe, which are designed for clay courts. I took the advice of this and almost every other tennis website, and bought a half size smaller than I usually buy. I'll be honest, had I been in a store, I probably would have just bought my regular size. But, once I got on court and warmed up, the soft interior of the shoe molded around my foot like a glove. I felt perfectly stable, and I had really great support. I've got a low arch, somewhat narrow foot, and this shoe seemed perfectly tailored to my feet. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this shoe to someone with a high arch, but really, you should just try shoes on. You'd be surprised what feels good despite what you read. But previously to this I've had mostly Nikes, and most recently the CB 1.2, which when I bought it felt insanely comfortable, so I thought. But compared to this one the 1.2 feels like a board. Whatever they've done (including the Lunarlite) really makes a difference. I'm a 3.0 - 3.5 high school player, and I've owned a lot of shoes. This one's the best one for me yet. I'd give it my highest recommendations. And, as a plus, the shoes look awesomea sturdy, attractive silhouette, with many of the models coming in great colors, which I always like (hence why I chose the French Open ones)

Comments: Great shoe, took some time to break in compared to my Propulse 2's. Took approx one week of clay court practice at Casal Sanchez to break them in. Other than that buy half a size bigger. Wish they were a tad lighter for grinders. One big minus - they get very hot compared to the PP2's.

Comments: I have tried both these white/silver clay court model and the regular hard court version and the limited edition turqouise/pink ones. The white/silver clay court model has a roomier fit than the others, and is the only size 11 I can wear. The others in size 11 are too tight.

Comments: I have to agree with Terry. Ventilation isn't the best and got blisters on the top of the toesGoing back to the BFC II.
From: Anon, 06/09

Comments: All the way back from the Agassi days (some of the best and fun), I have always had success and enjoyed Nike shoes however these do not feel as comfortable as any of the Breathe Cage. I lack confidence in these shoes in that Stability is questionable on full runs, and Ventilation is not as good as many of the previous models. Have a fairly new, broken in pair and have tried everything to make these work for me and to be more comfortable. They continue to create blisters and create soreness after just one match. I am to the point that I made a bad investment on these and will be donating these away. Back to the drawing board, Help Nike!
