Comments: I haven't been using these shoes much, but it's been 2 months since I bought them and they already have holes on the inner sides on each pair since it has no protection at all on these parts of the shoes.

Comments: Great shoe: comfortable and stable. Not quite as durable as I would have expected with the Adiwear 6 month guarantee. I wore the outsoles out in about 2 months. I play a couple of times a week. But I sent them into adidas and they replaced them, I just had to pay for shipping. One minor thing, however, I sent in my orange, shoes and they sent me an all white pair of a3 accelerators. rather geriatric looking in my opinion. But great shoe overall, I prefer them even to the Barricade IIIs, my previous shoe.

Comments: Hate these shoes. I rolled both of my ankles due to the hard plastic midsole.

Comments: I had these shoes bought by my friend from US. They're great shoes! My knees don't hurt any more after a long game! I will buy again.

Comments: Great shoe, very comfortable, great look. May be hard to break in at first but after that you'll love them.

Comments: These shoes are good not great. Nothing special but a decent tennis shoe. Not good for the toe wearer though.

Comments: These shoes are very comfortable and have great arch support. On the other hand, these shoes are not durable at all. I played 5 hours a day for 10 days, and the outsole was already very worn out. Many parts of the sole were only all blue plastic. The rubber was completely worn out on the outsole and the plastic bounce things [look like nike shox] were getting destroyed. These look great and feel great, but if you're looking for something durable, I would suggest the Adidas Barricade IV or V.
From:
John, Alpharetta, Ga, USA. 6/08
Comments: These are no doubt very durable shoes. However, I'd recommend them only if you can put up with the overall stiffness, minor discomfort, and lack of support around the achilles tendon. Definitely a great looking shoe, though.

Bryan (4.0), NJ, USA. 6/08
Comments: I love these. My left foot (and only my left foot) slides around a little bit inside the shoe, but it is not anything that keeps me from sprinting after the ball. I don't know if this is some kind of defect or if my left foot is just a little narrower than my right foot. Great arch support. I don't think it could suit me any better. With all the ventilation holes, you would think these shoes would vent a little better than they do. Not "cushy" comfortable (like to the point where you feel absorbed by your shoes), but I wouldn't like them if they were. I wish Adidas would make a hybrid of the ClimaCool Feather and the a3 Accelerator, since they have similar design concepts. I think it would end up being a pretty awesome shoe.

Comments: Of all of the shoes that I've worn these are probably the worst. After about a month, they have lost all of their cushioning. In my opinion, a horrible shoe. On the upside they look really cool.
From:
Mitch, Virginia. 5/08
Comments: These shoes are the best shoes I have ever bought. They are really good for getting to balls that are hit out wide. After a while they started to feel good!
From:
Jimmy, Denver, CO, USA, 04/08
Comments: These shoes were a bit stiff out of the box, but after break in the are extremely comfy. At first I experienced a bit of my foot sliding around in the shoe, but that stopped after about a week. They have a great low-to-the-ground feel yet still have great traction and durability. The inside of the sole has worn out just a bit, but I regularly play on dusty courts at schools. Overall a great buy, especially with the 6 month guarantee!
From:
Kyle, California, USA. 4/08
Comments: I bought these shoes from TW and have worn them four times on the court. The lateral arches are extremely high and stiff, and I could hardly walk after a 3-hour match. I dread wearing them and have resurrected my old stand-by. I will try these again in time to see if I'll be able to break them in before my feet explode.
From:
Shane, Coppell, TX, USA. 4/08
Comments: I love both the stability and traction that this shoe offers. The only complaints that I have are that the soles have been marking up the court and that the shoe material has begun to pull away from the sole and I’ve only had these for about two months. I won't buy them again.
From:
Jack, Scarborough, ME, USA, 04/08
Comments: Do not be misled by the aesthetics of this shoe. My black pair is just a few months old, and already I've sprained both my ankles 3 weeks apart. I cannot directly attribute this to the shoe, but the Barricade I had previous to this never led to any sprains, given the same playing conditions and frequency. The shoes are not easy doing lateral movements during some volleys. Worse, some parts are already worn out given the short time I was using them. Another thing you may want to consider is that some courts do not allow tennis shoes with black heels.
From:
Rally, Falls Church, Virginia. 4/08
Comments: Superb traction! However, they kind of hurt my arch of my foot after a couple hours of playing. I would recommend these shoes, but these being my first pair of actual made-for-tennis shoes, there might be a better pair out there.
From:
Sam, ID, USA, 03/08
Comments: They look good on the outside and feel great, but they didn't last long. If you slide your toe at all, you will wear down the stitching, which will open up the top of the shoe. The Barricade IVs are much better shoes.
From:
Kyle, San Diego, CA. 3/08
Comments: These shoes were pretty stiff out of the box, and the arch is pretty high for my flat feet. They were uncomfortable for the first couple of days, but after walking around campus in them for a while, they broke in nicely. I suppose this shoe would fit better for people with medium/high arches, but I love them now. Great stability and traction. Durability looks pretty good after 3 weeks and the 6-month guarantee is great. Weight is nice, lighter than barricades. Cushioning is a little firmer in the heel compared to Barricades or Nike Breathe Free IIs, but doesn't take away anything from the shoe. Forefoot cushioning is top notch. Looks wise, the black/silver version looks sick. I've never gotten so many compliments on shoes. I give them a 9/10, reason being I think they would've been perfect with softer cushioning in the heel like Nike Breathe Free IIs. Awesome shoe, Adidas!
From:
Carlo, Austin, TX, USA. 2/08
Comments: I purchased my pair in November 2007 and now am seeing the wear on the outsoles. The interior is still providing cushion, but the support is almost all gone. I am on the court with my shoes 5-6 days a week. I feel like there is minimal stability around the heel, which leads to a feeling of weakness around the ankles. I liked the way these felt and wore the first two months, but in my humble opinion they are not as durable as the Barricade but better than the Nike Vapor.
From:
Baraka, Seattle, USA. 2/08
Comments: I haven't yet found any shoe that all around beats this one. The stability is great, and the comfort is excellent! Although they only last me about 3-4 months, these shoes are the ones that have actually lasted me the longest! I tried the Nike Air Max Breathe Cage and at the end of the first two weeks, I had worn through the rubber!
From:
Dennis, Diamond Bar, CA, USA. 2/08
Comments: Overall it is a 9 out of 10 shoe. The reason I give it a 9 and not a 10 is because my heel was sliding for awhile, but after that they felt great! They will last at least 6 months (and I play on a semi-pro level). Definitely worth the money!
From:
Billy, Michigan. 1/08
Comments: A very good shoe. I have previously used the Barricade IVs and thought they were excellent but a bit heavy. I find the a3s to actually be better yet. The a3s have a better fit and are lighter than the IVs. The only caveat is the a3s don't stick on the hard court quite as well as the IVs -- I slide a bit in the a3s. However, I still rate the a3s better, all things considered. Shoes are a big deal for me since I rely on my speed and quickness to run down balls and frustrate my opponents by getting balls back in play. I'm a solid 3.5 all-court player who plays 2-3 times a week, 2-3 hours per session.

Comments: This shoe is very comfortable & lightweight. The only problem is that I wore them out in about 3 months.
From:
Michael, GA, USA, 01/08
Comments: Shoes feel awesome!! I love theses considerably more than my previous barricade4s. The cushioning, fit, and everything is great, and those little bubbles on the bottom seem to absorb shock very well. The only thing though, is that these shoes don't seem to be too durable. I only used it for a short time, and can already see some wear appearing on the outsoles. But then again w/ a 6 month guarantee you can't really go wrong.
From:
Nick, Honolulu, HI, USA. 12/07
Comments: I love the shoes. They are durable and are very supportive. Like it says it does help with good foot speed. I also like them beacuse they are agile and are very light. I love them.
From:
Parker, San Pedro, California, United States. 12/07
Comments: Expected this shoe to be better than Barricade III or IV because of price, but it is stiffer and not as well cushioned. It does have a good fit, though, but cushioning most important to someone with plantar fasciitis. I've always found high-end Adidas sneaks to be built to last.
From:
Rob, Davenport, FL, USA. 11/07
Comments: The shoes are absolutely awesome looking, but they are not very durable.
They tore up in less than two weeks.
From:
James, New York City, New York. 10/07
Comments: Just got the shoes a week ago. I am very pleased with these shoes. They offer great arch support that I couldn't find with Nike, and they are surprisingly durable. They are similar to the Barricade 4's but feel lighter and more agile, without sacrificing stability and support.
From:
Paul, Portland, OR. 10/07
Comments: I love these shoes, like most have said, they take a little getting used to and breaking in, but the stability and comfort is amazing to me, it fits like a glove, and slides very well on clay, but watch out for the splits. The look was a little startling at first, but now I think It's Cool. I am a 5.5 all court player, and have a fast reflex to get to most shots, and in very good shape. I run 2 - 8 miles a day, sometimes with these, because of the comfort level.

Comments: Just got these shoes yesterday and they are absolutely awesome. They have got to be the best shoes I've ever had. They are so comfy and they aren't that narrow to be honest. Anyway, went for a hit today in them, played for 3 hours and did 1 hour fitness and they are actually really comfy and supportive. As comfy as the Barricades but a heck of a lot lighter.
From:
Anna, England. 5/07
Comments: These shoes look great in person, but they kill my wide/flat feet. These shoes are pretty narrow and have a relatively high arch. Maybe I should have gotten have a half size bigger. Only go for these shoes if you have narrow feet. It seems I'll have to stick to the reliable barricade line.
From:
Ron, Chicago, IL, USA. 4/07
Comments: Great shoes. They look good. The only drawback I can see would be if you try to slide and the ground hits the slippery shocks it will slide like a roller blade and you will probably do the splits. But maybe that is just because I am a klutzy player. But I do love the fact that my foot stays nice and cool no matter how long I play. I think next time I will try the Adidas Feather III.
From:
Anthony, VI, USA. 4/07
Comments: I'm still in the break-in process, but these shoes are really stable, for those of you inquiring about the stability of the a3 cushioning. They aren't gel-like, but rather a hard-plastic material. The ventilation is great and traction is amazing. Also, a plus is that they are comfortable during the walk to and from the courts.
From:
Anon. 4/07
Comments: I bought a pair and tried them on and returned them the same day for a refund. My barricade IV's are much more comfortable. The a3's were very stiff and narrow and did not feel as stable as my barricade IV's.
From:
James, Huntington Beach, CA, USA, 04/07
Comments: The stability from this shoe isn’t great. I had a bad time getting use to it. But the barricades make you use to it the first time you wear it. I don’t really like this shoe.
From:
Tony, Corona, CA, USA, 04/07
Comments: I love the performance of this shoe. As others have said, they are a little stiff out of the box, but after a break in they are excellent. The only drawback for me is the durability. I play two to three hours a day, and after three weeks of having the shoe, they are almost worn out. But they do have a warranty, so I don't lose to much by wearing them out.
From:
Pete, Amarillo, Texas, USA. 3/07
Comments: Great shoe. Looks, Stability, and weight are all amazing. The only problem is if you wear shoes out on the top of the toe, these wear out very fast; there is not much padding there. Also if you are a slider or quick mover, the plastic heel can slip easily on the court. Apart from that small problem and the durability, amazing.
From:
Sam, Boca Raton, FL, USA, 03/07
Comments: Terrible! I have worn a3 accelerate last 2 years and love them. These have a similar name but felt nothing like them. The soles feel like a flat board and the toes turn up radically. I found that size-wise because of these toes they seemed about a 1/2 inch long. The best way to describe the feel of the shoe was I thought I was wearing a pair of wooden clogs from Holland. I am a confirmed Adidas fan, but I sent these back.
From:
Rich, Gig Harbor, WA, USA, 03/07
Comments: I got these shoes 3 weeks ago, man were they stiff out of the box... I got a size too small but after a week of wearing... it feels amazing~~~~ using them on clay, good grip and very stable
From:
Michael, Melbourne, Australia. 3/07
Comments: I have been playing tennis all my life and have tried out many types of shoes but these are by far the best. They are very light and comfortable and are pretty cheap for how good they are.
From:
Alex, MN, USA, 03/07
Comments: I agree with what everyone has put so far, it really is does fit great, but just like most of Adidas's shoes, it still does require a break-in period. I don't like the way it looks though, it's cool but i prefer the way the Adidas Barricades look. Still, these are great shoes to have.
From:
Chris, GA, USA. 3/07
Comments: These shoes are good when it comes to outsole, traction and weight, but they squeak very loudly if you have fast footwork, and the seams at the toe drag area unravel and the shoe falls apart. The shoe also becomes very soft after a few weeks, and lost a bit of stability. All in all, it is a great deal because of the warranty, you will be sure to use it. I play tournaments every weekend, and these shoes will go through 15 sets before they get soft, and the upper starts to reveal a hole.
From:
Vant, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. 3/07
Comments: This shoe was not very breathable and lacked support. I actually fractured my ankle playing on it due to the lack of support; very disappointing and unsatisfactory
From:
Jim, Austin, TX, USA, 03/07
Comments: I had to laugh a little at Brob's comments. I don't think of the looks as a drawback. Thank god they don't look like most tennis shoes of today. Tennis shoe design is finally having somewhat of revival after the dark ages of the 90s and early 2000s. Where are the Stan Smiths and Rod Lavers? I guess time will tell whether this generation will be remembered, but I for one am very glad that there are some new styles coming out. And oh yeah, they're very functional as well. More snug and maneuverable than my Barricades but just as stable.
From:

Comments: These are great shoes, absolutely insane. Durable, comfortable, almost near perfect.
From:
Shea, NJ, USA. 2/07
Comments: These shoes not only look amazing but also feel amazing. They fit like a glove and have a lot of support. There is also plenty of room in the forefoot, which makes it a very comfortable shoe. On the court, there is support for your ankles and they feel very light. These are great shoes and I recommend them.
From:
Stevie, Melbourne, Australia. 2/07
Comments: These shoes are amazing. I had Barricades but these are so much better by the sense of comfort and not having your feet burn on the court. I also wear them casually. I highly recommend them. Only draw back that they don’t look like tennis shoes. Oh well
