The Wilson 6.2 heritage lives on in these two evolutions of the popular skunk (nicknamed such due to the black and white color scheme). Unlike previous Hammer 6.2s, these nCoded versions do not feature Hammer (head heavy) weighting, and with a headlight balance they offer a more maneuverable feel. Larger headsizes - Midplus is bumped from 95-100sq. inches- offer more generous sweetspots and increased comfort. Unlike previous 6.2 racquets, the nSix-Two features a headlight balance. Thanks to that change in balance, the feel from this nSix-Two is very different. Whereas the old 6.2 racquets swung with plenty of heft - great for baseline players - this new version swings much lighter, making it a great choice for net rushers. We found the Midplus very maneuverable from the baseline and stronger baseline players might want to add some weight to this one. At net the racquet offers a very maneuverable feel, enough power to get high volleys away and enough control for placement shots. Without a doubt, our favorite shot with this racquet was the serve. We found excellent pace, spin and placement when serving with this stick. The nSix-Two offers easy access to the racquet head speed required to hit big kick serves, thanks to its low swingweight. In stock form, we feel this one is a must demo for serve and volley players and doubles players at the 4.0+ level. Add some weight, and this one becomes a great stick for baseline players, too.
