The
Catapult
4 is Volkl's first application of Catapult technology in a 'tweener'
racquet. Truth be told, the Catapult 4 delivers more power than most tweeners, but still
allows for good control and feel. The added power is Catapult's spring at work
(see Technologies at right) and is noticeable from the first shot. Volkl's Classic Big
Grommet helps expand sweetspot size for more forgiveness during off-center hits and
the
Sensor Handle System effectively dampens shock and vibration for a comfortable
ride. A nice offering of Catapult technology for 4.0+ players seeking mobility and comfort in a
power-oriented tweener. With its 105 sq. inch head size, the Catapult 4 borders being
classified as either a Midplus or an Oversize racquet.
Awarded Editors' Choice in TENNIS Magazine's 2003 Spring Racquet Guide.
