Offering a crisp and clean response, the BB 5 offers more feedback and feel compared to most other racquets in its class. We found a nice blend of power and control that favors medium paced, full length swings. Spin comes easy on from all areas of the court thanks to a light swing weight and open string pattern. Feel from the stringbed is fairly lively and there's a healthy sweetspot to help players find depth on slightly off center shots. At net the BB 5 feels very mobile. Volleys leave the strings with a crisp response and we found some nice control when hitting touch shots and angles. In its stock form, the BB 5 is a great choice for players seeking a lighter racquet that still offers good feel and control. Stronger players will find plenty of room to add weight without making the racquet unwieldy. Recommended for players at the 3.5-4.5 level looking for a light and maneuverable racquet.
