The light and responsive Speedport Gold offers excellent maneuverability from all areas of the court. Prince's Speedport technology comprises of aerodynamically shaped large openings in the racquet frame for easier access to faster swing speeds. The Speedports also allow greater string deflection at impact, providing a soft feel and Prince claims the Speedports increase the size of the sweetspot. Our on court hitting confirmed that this is a powerful and user-friendly racquet. We found a comfortable and forgiving response with each hit thanks to a combination of dampening from the Speedports as well as the extended length of the main strings. On this racquet, the main strings extend all the way to the handle on this racquet, allowing for maximum power and comfort. A rubberized throat piece further increases comfort, making this a very comfortable racquet. The open string pattern provides easy access to spin once racquet head speed picks up. We were impressed by the speed and spin potential on serves and more aggressive groundstrokes with this racquet. Offering more control than the Speedport Platinum, the Speedport Gold is a solid choice for the beginning to intermediate player seeking an emphasis on power and comfort.

Note: Racquets can be strung with or without the elongated mains. Tennis Warehouse will string them with the longer mains unless told otherwise. If you would like to have it strung differently, please give customer service a call.
