The most control oriented racquet in the Metallix line, the Metallix 2 still offers some useful pop to help get shots away. This one is well suited to intermediate players who like to move the ball around the court with a variety of pace and spin. We found some excellent ball bite from the stringbed, with lots of spin coming from only a medium swing speed. At net the Metallix 2 feels light and fast in the hand yet offers impressive stability at impact. When serving, the Metallix 2 offers easy access to pace and spin, providing the server with plenty of variety with each delivery. Comfort is impressive from all areas of the court thanks to the stable response and healthy sweetspot. Players at the 4.0+ level looking for some pop, spin, maneuverability and comfort should definitely spend some time on court with this one.
