The Head YouTek Speed MP offers a nice blend of control and power. A generous sweetspot adds forgiveness for those slightly off-center hits. With the open 16/19 string pattern, spin is easily attained with a healthy swing speed, helping to keep the ball inside the baseline. Our team found this stick to be versatile from the baseline. Whether going for touch and placement or flattening one out for a winner, this racquet responds to both. Although slightly longer than standard length, the added length of this stick is barely noticeable. At net, the YouTek Speed MP offers enough heft to handle well paced shots, while being mobile enough to get the stringbed on the ball. On serve there was plenty of power to be had when needed, though having a nice amount of control for mixing it up with spin and placement.
