HEAD designed the Flexpoint FXP Radical Team specifically to offer the feel and feedback of a player's racquet, but with the pop and maneuverability of a 'tweener. Like the Flexpoint Radical Tour, this FXP version features a departure from HEAD's traditional tight string pattern design. The open 16/19 string pattern makes for a lively and comfortable feel. We also found it easy to generate lots of spin with this racquet thanks again to the open pattern and maneuverability. The larger headsize, thicker beam design and open string pattern - when compared to the Flexpoint Radical Tour and Flexpoint Radical Midplus - make this Team version a much more attractive choice for the intermediate player. Even though this is a light and maneuverable racquet, the close to even balance means there's still plenty of weight behind the ball at contact. The 314 (RDC) swingweight is perfectly suited to medium paced and length swings. At net we found some nice pop and plenty of comfort. This one feels very mobile during fast volley exchanges making it a good choice for aggressive players. With a good amount of control and feel from all areas of the court, this racquet has most of what players seek in a tour racquet, but in a more mobile package. Players at the 3.5-5.5 level looking for some nice pop and mobility without sacrificing control and feel should definitely hit the courts with this one.
