Still offering excellent feel and control, the FXP Prestige Team brings more power and maneuverability to the Prestige line. Like other racquets in HEAD's FXP Team series, this one offers more ball speed off the stringbed thanks to a more open string pattern compared to its Tour series namesake. The FXP Prestige Team is an ideal choice for the advanced player who is looking for a little more pace and a larger sweetspot without sacrificing the feel and control found in a player's racquet. We found a very solid response from the baseline with this racquet. Spin production is consistent, allowing the player to find consistent depth on both topspin and slice groundstrokes. Flatter shots come off the strings with good ball speed and, again, enough consistency for accurate hitting. At net the FXP prestige feels maneuverable yet solid. Volleys leave the racquet face with a crisp and clean feel. We found good targeting both when punching volleys deep as well as when parking a dropper or angled volley inside the service boxes. We also found a consistent response on serve, with both spin production and pace coming in predictable quantities. Offering a very solid performance from all areas of the court, this one is well worth a test for stronger players seeking all court playability from a 102 sq. inch headsize. also features HEAD's C.A.P. (Computer Aided Protection) System grommets, which wrap around the outer edge of the frame to protect the racquet string against damage when the racquet comes into contact with the court.
