Price: As with the HEAD Intelligence i.Prestige, the Flexpoint Prestige racquets feature HEAD's Flexpoint technology which is designed to cup the ball for better directional control and feel. As with other Flexpoint racquets, the new Prestige racquets also feature Liquidmetal and Total Sweetspot Construction. The HEAD C.A.P. (Computer Aided Protection) grommet system is still present, albeit slightly modified to incorporate the Flexpoint System. Mid Players familiar with the Classic, Intelligence and Liquidmetal versions of the Prestige line will notice a crisper and stiffer response from this Prestige. While the emphasis is still heavily on control, we found some extra power from all areas of the court. From the baseline we found this one to provide some added depth and pace to both topspin and slice groundstrokes. The weight, balance, and swingweight provides a familiar, Prestige-like feel. This one retains a classic, solid feeling response without sacrificing mobility. The feel off the stringbed is not as buttery as found with the Prestige Classic, but the racquet offers more stability on off-center shots and a more solid feel than we found with the Liquidmetal Prestige. As with other Prestige Mids, this is the most demanding racquet in the HEAD line-up but rewards with more control and feel than most player's racquets. All in all, the weight and headsize combine to put this one in the serious player's racquet category.
