Dunlop continues to develop its impressive 200 series player's racquet line with the Aerogel 200. Offering increased comfort and a more solid feel at impact compared to previous 200 series racquets, this Aerogel 200 takes the playability of the 200 series to new heights. Due to the excellent weight to strength qualities of Aerogel, Dunlop has increased beam stiffness in key areas for increased power and a more consistent response without dramatically increasing weight. Dunlop claims the retention of M-Fil fibers at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions softens the impact allowing for a blend of power and control. Our on court testing validated their claims with a very comfortable and precise feel evident from all areas of the court. From the baseline the racquet remains very stable during heavy hitting. We found some excellent plough-through and a very solid feel through the contact zone. Slightly off-center shots remain comfortable and the racquet's mass helps prevent twisting. At net the racquet offers a crisp and clean response. Again, an impressive level of comfort is present with no sacrifice in ball feel. The head light balance helps with mobility while there's still plenty of mass to add pop to punch volleys. The dense stringbed offers lots of control on serve with some surprising access to spin. Players with developed technique will find ample pace on serve. With faster swings speeds comes lots of weight and court penetration, making the Aerogel 200 an excellent choice for aggressive servers. This one is best suited to advanced players looking for lots of control, stability and comfort from all areas of the court.
