This update to the Babolat Pure Drive Team Oversize offers increased comfort thanks to Babolat's Cortex technology and more control thanks to some added weight and a smaller headsize. This latest version plays more like a control oriented 'tweener racquet, whereas the original Pure Drive Oversize was more power oriented. The Cortex system, located just above the handle, is designed to reduce harmful racquet vibrations without filtering out the feedback required for feel. The result of filtering unnecessary vibrations is what Babolat calls a "pure feel."
Players should find some useable power, combined with excellent spin potential and a solid level of control from all areas of the court. Players who prefer an oversize headsize, but still want control and feel should definitely hit the courts for a demo of the Pure Drive 107 Oversize. Players will appreciate a healthy sweetspot, which combined with the new Cortex System makes for a comfortable hitting experience. An increase in weight from the previous Oversize version offers improved stability, a solid feel at impact and good power on faster swings. The Pure Drive 107 Oversize features Babolat's Woofer grommet technology (see link at right for more information) designed to provide added power and comfort. Intermediate players will find this versatile racquet to offer plenty of playability for both singles and doubles play. Truly an all court performer and a must demo for oversize fans at the 3.5-5.0 level.
