The lightest of the three racquets in the line, this adidas Barricade Racquet provides excellent pop. With an open string pattern and near even balance, the stringbed offers good access to spin as well as depth from all areas of the court. All the Barricade racquets feature PST (Power Structure Technology) in the hoop, located at 3 and 9 o'clock. According to adidas, these pods provide torsional stability and add power. Up at net, our TW playtesters liked the maneuverability as well as a crisp feel when hitting their volleys. The 16x19 string pattern allowed the strings to bite into the ball on slice and kick serves, producing effective service shots. The blend of power, control and maneuverability makes this racquet a good choice for intermediate players on up to the advanced level.
