The Superfeet Performance Insoles are a must have for those looking for the best arch and foot support. The Encapsulating Stabilizer System (ESS) provides ideal biomechanical support, allowing your feet to perform in their optimal functioning position. The blue insoles are ideal for low to medium arched feet. Superfeet recommends you go a size up if you are on the border between two sizes.

Too slick against sockI found the insoles to have good support. As several comments mention, they are not cushioned, but the point is to have a hard arch to actually support your weight. However, they are way too slick on the surface. Meaning, if you move relatively fast on a tennis court and actually change directions quickly, your foot slides quite a bit. Not the insole, I mean the surface that's actually touching your sock. I found them impossible to play with at a fast pace.

Comments: These are terrible if you have plantar fasciitis. The back of the soles are hard and contribute to more excruciating pain than you want to experience. If you already have PF, buy some Sketchers (GOWALKS) or something with soft soles.

Comments: I had plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago and I had to take a break to let it heal (took about a year). To my horror, I started feeling the pain again 2 weeks ago. I heard about superfeet, and ordered the blue one because I have lower arches. They are just what I needed. This past weekend I did a 7-mile run and played tennis without any hint of my plantar fasciitis pain. I will buy more. Even better is the fact that I'm a size 8 so I didn't even have to cut the insole and it fit perfectly in my sneakers.

Comments: If you are flat-footed like me, or have low arches, these insoles may offer you some help. I'm generally skeptical of insoles, since I never have had good luck with finding any that helped me, until I found these. What prompted me to try them is when I discovered I had plantar fasciitis in my left foot. These insoles do a wonderful job of supporting my arch and taking some of the pressure off of my heel. If you have plantar fasciitis, your heel is where you will feel the pain, particularly on the inside of it. These insoles are thin as described, so they do not take up a lot of space inside of your shoes, and the arch is subtle, so there wasn't the jabbing or protruding feeling that I have felt while wearing other insoles designed for people with flat feet or low arches. If you are suffering from plantar fasciitis, I would strongly recommend giving these a try, since I believe they are part of a long-term solution to this problem. They provide relief to a stressed arch, and take a lot of pressure off of your heel.

Comments: I work out a lot, but I'm built kinda like a linebacker, and find that after doing Stairmaster or treadmill, my feet are usually pretty sore in the arch area. So, I'm a prime candidate for needing more arch support, something that Superfeet are supposed to give you.
They do cup your heel just about right and follow the shape/last of the shoe well. Properly-sized, they will give you MODERATELY more support/less soreness, though they certainly don't eliminate soreness- they're no magic bullet. Still, better than other inserts I've tried.
The one thing I don't like (aside from them being a bit pricey for what they are) is that Superfeet's idea of what is a high or low-arched foot is a bit off. No matter what it says on the box, the various Superfeet models actually work out like this (as of their early '09 lineup):
Green- SUPER high-arched insoles, only good for ppl with REALLY high arches, will be torture for anyone else who has 'em on their feet for more than a few minutes. Gitmo-approved.
Blue- It says "ideal for low to medium-arched feet" on the back of the box, but it's more like 'ideal for medium to high' arches, actually. I have fairly low-arched (but not flat) feet, and while the blues felt okay in the store, after using them for a few days it was quite obvious that these were *not* it. I felt like I was walking around in high heels or something... definitely TOO MUCH arch support, to the point of being mildly painful. Not good.
Black- These are allegedly for 'flat or sensitive' feet. I'd say instead they're the TRUE Superfeet product for low-arched feet. These are the ones that ultimately ended up working for me, but I am annoyed that I wasted money on the blues.
Basically, what I think is going on is that what Superfeet is trying to sell you is SUPPORT, so they want to get you into the highest/'most supportive' insoles they can, so that you go "Gee, wow, what a difference, so much support."
The problem with that, of course, is that you end up basically KILLING your feet, because going too high in the arch on these things will just mess you up, ESPECIALLY if you're heavier-than-average, like me.

(Anon, Superfeet suggests a two-three week period for your body to realign itself to the insoles, during which time some discomfort might be experienced due to the readjustment of your body.--TW Staff)

Comments: Great for tennis, running, and etc. if you need additional support. It's as good as a custom orthotics at a fraction of the price.
