Impressive feel and playability duration for a poly-based monofilament

As one of the softest members of Prince's polyester line, this string is great for the poly veteran who wants a slightly more tendon-friendly control string. It's also a great "starter poly" for players who are new to the breed.  Made with a unique alloy to improve feel and tension maintenance Tour XP has excellent ball feedback. Although it has a round profile, this string's ability to accommodate maximum stroke speed makes it extremely spin-friendly. The fact that it has exceptional playability duration is a nice bonus (think more bang for your buck).

Prince Tour XP 17Tour XP is my favorite "go-to" poly string for my clientele. It has a softer feel, average tension maintenance, and great spin potential! It works well in a full-bed or hybrid setup. In a hybrid setup, here are some recommendations I would suggest trying. #1 - If you're transitioning from full-synthetic strings, try Prince Lightning Pro in the mains and Tour XP in the crosses. #2 - If you break #1 within 6 weeks, try switching these two strings from the mains to the crosses and vice versa. #3 - If you can break #2 within 2-3 weeks, you could consider a hybrid poly/poly hybrid with thicker mains and thinner crosses. A great combination is Tour XP 17 on the mains and Prince Vortex 18 on the crosses.

Great valueThis is an average polyester, not nearly as responsive as RPM Blast, but great value overall sine it comes out to about $5 a set if you string it yourself. Since it's not as elastic initially as the top-of-the-line polyester strings, it doesn't stretch out as much as it ages. Definitely recommend the 17 gauge for the responsiveness over the 16 gauge, unless you prefer the traditional feel and control of synthetic gut.

Comments: I have a Prince Textreme Tour 95 new version. The racquets are great for my game. I was using Diablo 17 gauge, and tried the Prince Tour XP 17 gauge strung at 50 pounds. It was outstanding, just better spin and control, and a bit more free power than Diablo that was complimenting the Tour 95 and my game. Both strings are good, but the XP 17 is my winner. Thanks Prince and TW. Great combo.
