Overview
Combining an ultra comfortable natural gut with a firm co-poly monofilament, X-Plosive delivers a rare blend of control, power, spin, comfort and durability. For players seeking extra control, we recommend installing the co-poly in the mains. Alternatively, if you want to emphasize power, we recommend putting the natural gut in the mains. Any way you slice it, the price is hard to beat.

Amazing string that just happens to be cheapThis is great string at great value. All the benefits of other more expensive gut/poly hybrids. Serves, groundies and volleys are dynamite! You just have to get used to the extra kick of power.
Champions choice or VS "is" better, but not so much better to justify their expensive prices, xplosive in particular is the best value.
On top of this Klip's gut just does not want to break, theres a coating on it which eventually wears off but the durability is unmatched in my experience, paired with the tension maintenance its an awesome combo.
You can string really tight and maintain touch and feel but it is also great at lower tensions.
Its more suited to classic frames but it could easily be used in more modern frames.
Prince 93P
53lbs
Lasted 4 months playing 2x per week only losing tension to be unplayable due to playing a match in the rain for 2hrs.
So goodUsed this many times in a Prince classic response 97 (a classic), and some lengthy tweeners (liquidmetal xl and a Roddick plus) with gut mains (55-58ish). Always feels great and provides great value for a natural hybrid. Never had issues with klip's gut breaking during stringing or play, and on the whole it's a very durable setup that provides controlled power and reliable touch. Not my first choice co-poly, but it's smooth, dull and lasts, letting you hit big flat shots or wrist-injuring spinners. Whether you want to test out the hybrid waters or use it as a backup for when your once freshly strung poly goes plywood mid-match, this is the best value out there, in my opinion. Should be a standard string-job in everyone's bag.

Comments: I don't think you can beat the hybrid set up of poly and gut (strungeither way). I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Luxilon andBabalot that would play as well, and this is it. I have played about 12hours with these strings, and they are still playing great! There issome fraying on the gut which is to be expected and some tension loss, but its minimal, I am going to stick with these these strings. For thisprice they can't be beat!

Comments: I put this in my new Pure Storm Tour. I love this set up. Poly in the mains and gut crosses to soften it up. Moderate tension loss after about 2 hours. Has lasted about 10 hours so far, with some fraying, but still plays great. I'm not an expert, but I like this set up much better than the techno fiber NRG previously. I'm a 5.0 all court player.

Comments: Wow! I serve bombs with this! I've tried all the other top brands and this one is superb! Can't go wrong. I put the gut in mains at 50 lbs and poly in the crosses at 48 lbs. Get it!

Comments: I strung this hybrid for a friend. Knock off about 10% for the polyester and normal tension for the gut in the crosses. Plays ok but the Klip gut is rather limp and low on natural coating compared to Babolat VS.

Comments: I began using the ex-plosive 17 but found I was restringing too often despite it's wonderful performance. I use the 16 now and have not noticed a drop in my play although I realized it had to be strung a three pounds or more looser. I use gut crosses and string the Wilson tour 90 at 51 lbs.

Comments: This string is terrible. It has no feel and takes away all of the power. Do not expect much from this hybrid, because the k-boom mains are terrible. They are like plastic string.

Comments: Got a set in my new Babolat Pure Drive last week and absolutely love it. I wanted to get a string that would play great but give me some durability and the X-Plosive was a great call. The gut provides excellent response off the ball and the k-boom gives me the added durability so I am not re-stringing all the time. I was a little worried about the k-boom making the racquet too stiff but it has played great. I highly recommend the X-Plosive and all the other Klip gut hybrids.
