Overview

ISOSPEED Black Fire 1.25 is a firm, rounded co-poly with exceptional control and surprising comfort. Given its low power, this one is perfect for advanced players who want maximum precision on their biggest swings. Given how fast this string allows the player to swing, the spin potential is excellent. Our TW playtesters reported a high level of pocketing, which is quite unique for such a firm control string. All in all this is perfect for the advanced baseliner looking for maximum control, durability and spin with above average comfort.

Very good all-round poly at a great priceI have tried many strings trying to find a good balance of performance, comfort, and cost. ISOSPEED Black Fire is a solid performer. It provides good spin, control, and comfort. Comfort is important to me due to some tenderness in my elbow recently. Black Fire allows me to play hours at a time without aggravating my elbow.

Comments: Finally, a string that combines the ball pocketing of a soft co-poly with deadness of a stiff co-poly. The result is some serious control for the big hitter.

Comments: Definitely not my type of string, very weak spin potential and evencontrol. It is a powerful string strung at 52 lbs unlike what stringforum andthe reviews say. The reason why I do not like this string is due to the stringsnature of not biting the ball at all. It just feels like it touchesthe ball without the string sinking in and the ball starts to boom outlike a launcher. It is very difficult to control the ball with a modern stroke and I wasstruggling with basic consistency.

Comments: Awesome string. Not much spin potential in my Babolat Pure Strike (not the best racquet for spin), but plenty of control and a surprising amount of pop. Love it!

Comments: No reviews yet on this string so I figured I'd put in my two cents. I'm a high 4.0 aggressive counter puncher, and this is my new favorite poly. Really comfortable spin friendly poly. Easy access to depth while providing not too much power. I strung this up at 50 lbs in the mains with Head PPS at 53 in the crosses and it's one of the best polys at this price point, almost as good as RPM. Haven't tried it at higher tensions or in a full bed because you probably wouldn't get the best out of this string if strung above 55 lbs. I would reccomend this poly to anyone who wants a cheaper option from the big name strings, but doesn't want to sacrifice on quality control. I have hit with it for about 10 hours and haven't seen hardly any loss in tension. The only con I can think of is it's not as stiff as other polys and the slices can float a little bit, but that's probably just technique. 9/10
