Sturdy but challengingThis is a beautiful shoe, with great support. However the tongue sits up far. Up to the bend of my ankle. It is an unfinished edge so I have to pull up my sock to create a layer between my skin and the tongue. The lacing system is also a little challenging to work with, loosening the laces up to put them on (or take off) takes some work. The bright side of this is they stay nice and tight while I play!
Tongue too longThe shoe has a comfortable fit but for me the tongue is a bit too long and it rubs the front of my ankle. I wear size 8.5.
Floppy fitThis is my second pair and this shoe is floppy in the toe box and the ankle. It’s pretty to look at but just does not fit. I ordered an 8.5, I wear an 8 in street shoes. The first pair I ordered was not as off as this one. Bummer. I also agree with the comments about the extra long tongue, it’s uncomfortable.
Love it!Very comfortable shoe to play tennis on clay, the tongue stays and do not move to the sides.
Love These StellasI now have three pairs of the Stellas, after they finally returned a year or so ago. Initially they only came in white, but then the blue and red came about and I have all three. They are nice and wide in the toe box and don't cram the toes at all. I did not have to break them in, they were fine from the start. I play 3-4 times per week but I do have many pairs of shoes so I'm not only wearing one pair during these days, so they last a long time with me. I am a very small size (5) but have usually order 5.5 in tennis shoes EXCEPT with Adidas. Adidas I only wear a 5 as I believe they run a bit large. Asics and Nike and KSwiss I order larger. I can wear these for several hours and my feet still feel okay. I'm just waiting on more colors and styles to come out.
ComfortableThis is my 3rd time purchasing this shoe. The fit is true but I like that the toe box is a little wider so when I lunge on court my toe doesn’t hit the front of the shoe. This shoe has more cushioning in the sole for a comfortable fit. I did not have to break it in either. I’m buying another pair.
Uncomfortable TongueThese shoes have a really cheap tongue that is uncomfortable and actually gave me a sore at the top of my foot. I do not recommend if you wear low profile socks.
1st experienceI purchased shoes for my wife and she loves them. However, they were slightly large and wanted a 1/2 size smaller. The Pickleball warehouse was great to help her with the return/exchange process. Overall customer service on the purchase side and the exchange side have been excellent!
Great shoe for 3.5 hard court playersI love this shoe. I usually have to break a shoe in but this one is perfect for wider feet that need a soft toe box, support on the foot, and good court movement. The first time I wore them my toes did not fall asleep (which usually happens with new shoes), no blisters, perfect running, stopping (no jamming). The shoe is so perfect I bought a second pair so that I can have two.
So close yet so farThe shoe is perfect except for one fatal flaw… it doesn’t affect the performance of the shoe but is such a disappointment. There is delicate mesh around the stripes on each side which ripped significantly after 3 wears. I’m a low level, old lady club player so I don’t put a whole lot of stress on my shoes. I don’t slide and, in the case of this particular shoe, I play on indoor hard. If they can fix this issue, this would be a 5 star shoe. No break in needed, comfy and light, yet sturdy.
