Overview

Introducing Volkl V-Square! With its surgical precision, this co-polyester monofilament will give you the confidence to attack the ball with your most powerful strokes. Offering a slightly softer feel than Volkl Cyclone, this is a great option for the player who wants a more comfortable co-poly. It's also a spin monster thanks to its four sharp edges and slippery surface (think bite & snap back). Ultimately, this is an obvious choice for the player who wants a durable co-poly that offers mindless targeting on full cuts. The great feel is a nice bonus and the spin-potential is off the charts.

Currently ranks #1 for bite/grip in our TWU string lab.

Great StringsThese strings are great. They hold up much longer than the 17g and they deliver the topspin I was hoping for. Will purchase again and again.

Plays well, didn't lastI'm about s 4.5 player. Racquet strung was a Prince Tour 290 at 50lb. I like the string, nice bite on the ball, but I didn't like that I only got 2hr and 15min. Before the string breaks. For 16 g string its pretty bad durability.

Poor durabilityI liked the strings, they gave great access to spin. I strung my Head Radical Graphene Touch MPA with them and liked them a lot. I give them a 3 star rating because I strung them on a Wednesday played for 3 hours and they already broke.

Comments: One of my drill coaches recommended and put these on my Head Radical MP. These are the best strings I've ever put on a racquet. Lots of power and spin. It has a very distinctive sound and feel when you hit the ball. I got them strung at 54 and there is tons of pop. I'm curious how they would feel at 46-48, but they feel so good at 54. I'm probably going to keep with this for a while.

Comments: The search is over! It lives up to its description with its square shape. I am a 4.5 NTRP baseliner, and switched from Solinco Hyper-G. V-Square has the best spin potential, unbelievable feel, and great control without sacrificing power. Additionally, it's soft on the arm.

Comments: I really like this V-Square string. It had nice spin and power. Like the name indicates, it is a true square shaped string. The lava red color looks really nice and matches my Babolat Pure Strike Third Generation. The tension drop was noticeable after a month of playing a few times a week, which is normal for a polyester string. I strung it at 45 pounds in a Pure Strike Tour Third Generation. Compared to Solinco Hyper-G the V-Square is an actual sharp square shape with true flat sides, were Hyper-G is more of a rounded square. Hyper-G had more of a dead, muted, dampened feel to it, like it absorbed energy. V-Square had more energy return and power, and actually felt better on my arm as I didn't have to swing as hard to generate pace. If you don't like the red color and want a nice green string for spin and power then I would recommend Signum Pro X-Perience string.

Comments: String was moving all over the place after just a few hours of play and dropped a ton of tension. As a loyal Cyclone and Cyclone Tour user, I had high hopes for this string. But despite massive spin, it disappointed me. Back to Cyclone.

Comments: I really like this string. Good spin, power, and feel. Compared to my previous string, Tecnifibre Black Code 4S, V-Square plays much softer and has more feel. However, it's much less durable, I don't think I every broke 4S. I broke V-Square after about 6-8 matches playing mostly doubles. I plan to stick with V-Square as it's not as harsh and adds more feel for my doubles game. Babolat Pure Strike 16x19 at 52 pounds

Comments: Great spin with a soft yet crisp response. At times there was almost too much spin and I didn't feel like I knew where the ball was going. If you like this string I would recommend Signum Pro Yellow Jacket, it does everything this string does but better.

Comments: Being a person who is constantly looking for more ways to add more spin to my game, my search lead me to this intriguing string. I had seen something about it testing off the charts in regards to ball friction, so I figured it was worth a shot. The bite is for real, those harsh edges will rip the fuzz off the balls. Kick serves have never kicked harder and slices have never been dirtier. This string is very soft and powerful for being a poly, though not quite to the extent of Cyclone Tour. I found that it played exceptionally well for about 3 hours of solid hitting before it became a little bit too springy. I would probably up the tension a few pounds to offset the power and delay the tension loss. My setup was a full bed at 50 pounds on a Dunlop Srixon 16x19. I probably won't be making the switch from my normal Cyclone though, it offers less bite but far more control and better tension maintenance.
