This powerful and spin-friendly weapon gets outfitted with a new beam for 2026

Introducing the 8th generation of the VCORE 100! With this 2026 update, Yonex makes incremental changes to the beam while keeping the plush feel, spin-friendly targeting, and easy power for which this model is known. Like other members of the VCORE family, this racquet's Isometric head shape has been modified with a wider contact zone at 10 and 2 o'clock, resulting in a larger spin window along with easier power and a higher launch angle (think easy depth). Boasting a swingweight in the mid 320s, the VCORE 100 delivers a stable ride, while still offering enough all-court speed to attack the net and close out points. For 2026, Yonex redesigns the beam, giving it a faster, more aerodynamic shape while also thickening it in key locations for added stability and power. Additional 2026 updates include widening the grommet holes for increased string movement and greater snapback, as well as lengthening the inner trench at the tip for added flex and pocketing. To help with comfort, this racquet integrates a thin, elastic film (Servo Filter) within the layers of NAMD FlexForce Graphite, allowing the frame to flex optimally while also absorbing harsh vibrations. This effect is complemented by a Vibration Dampening Mesh integrated into the handle, which further softens impact. Intermediate and advanced players looking for a plush and powerful racquet with impressive spin-potential should add this to their demo list.

Not For MeI am a big fan of Yonex racquets and have played with the Percept 100 for a while, but wanted to switch to a racquet with more power. Unfortunately, for me I found this racquet to be very low powered on weaker balls and the launch angle to be a bit too high for me on approach shots. Forehand slices also felt very floaty and awkward, however; backhand slices felt great. I tried different string set ups, but did not achieve different results. I think my swing speed and style is not a good fit to get the most out of the racquet. I think the racquet is best for a player with an extremely fast swing speed.

2026 VCore 100After testing this racquet for a week, I’m not sure if it is the string or not. But the racquet felt “off.” If I were a 3.0 or 3.5 I might blame it on technique. Serving was average, no more power than the V7. The spin was a little better on serves. Groundstrokes were a concern on both forehand and backhand (dhb). Hard to zone in on the sweet spot. Difficult to get volleys deep, Control was a big issue without a lot of spin. One interesting point, on the previous models, the butt cap always said “Japan” these models do not have it on the butt caps. Are they now made outside of Japan? T/W said it was 4 pts headlight. This racquet was even balanced. The swing weight was reported at 325, the demo I had was 331. I’m a 4.5 tournament player. In my opinion the V 7 model is better.
